I have made two hats so far and they have come out perfect. I had to adjust the stitches a little so that the hat was a little smaller but everything worked out fine. You are a fabulous teacher. Thank you.
Thank you! People years ago said the hats came out bigger than mine because I crochet tight, but they loosely. Now I making smaller hats because most people crochet very loosely and hats come out bigger. Still, every head measuring is different. Good, you made it your way.

Hello, thank you so much for the video . So i have questions if i want to make the hat more larger . i stopped in round 5 , i don’t know if i should keep adding 9 dc n then 2dc in the nexts rounds. I hope i get an answer soon n thank you again
Adult Woman Head Circumference: 22" Hat Circumference: 21" Crown Circle Diameter: 7 - 7.5" Hat Height: 9"
Adult Man Head Circumference: 23" Hat Circumference: 22" Crown Circle Diameter: 8" Hat Height: 9.5" Hats are generally made about an inch smaller in circumference than the circumference of the head. This keeps the hat fitting snug and from falling off. Most crochet hats have about an inch of stretch to them.
This hat on the picture, on the women's head too. How. small do you like to make this hat? You can use smaller crochet hook, hat will be smaller in natural way.
Hi Maureen, I didn't do the last row of 9dc, 2dc and started with the row of continued dc for the rest of the hat and it made it smaller for me. I think if you start your rows of dc when the diameter is smaller the hat will be smaller. Hope this helps.

Hello I have been following you making this beany. The stitch count does not come out right. I have rip it a few times and still. I just keep going. Thank you.
Made first beanie. Your video the best, so easy to follow. Only problem, mine came out way too big. Going to do again, to make smaller, do I do less rounds ?
Thank you for watching and making. I crochet tight and my loops are size of crochet hook, I do not make bigger loops, most people do. Sometimes different yarn makes bigger. I suggest you use smaller crochet hook then all will be ok. Make a hat crown first measure if you have the same inches what I have you can continue if not, if bigger need smaller crochet hook, if smaller then need use bigger crochet hook it is for any crochet pattern. If you hat crown correct size all hat will be correct, So most important is hat crown. Try again. Less rounds I do not think because there each round +12 stitches if you take of 1 round 12 stitches less hat will be too small. Make sure you have the same yarn #4 size. If you have # 4 worsted Need smaller hook.
@@theresafitz95 Yes, this why I always talking in beginning about yarns and hooks. For crochet then smaller hook then better less holes, but people want all quick and easy :) actually best is use 3mm hook, but then need more stitches and this takes more time to make hat. You can use the same yarn #4 just need smaller hook I think 4.5mm, Need to try to get 7" hat crown.
@@theresafitz95 For this hat I also useed #4 Aran/Worsted weight yarn, then yes you just need smaller hook. Most my videos I use 4.00 or 5.00mm hooks. I have all sizes crochet hooks, but I thinking people maybe do not have 7 hooks like I do this why I using only 2 or 3 size hooks.
Thank you for watching! No, I do not have written patterns, I have small notes, there need make only hat crown it is Row 1, 12, Row 2. 24 sts, then 36 and 48 etc. its all. I do not write written patterns I do not know English grammar. I can't offer people wrong words etc Very sorry! Merry Christmas!
I do not know what you doing, you have to make hat crown and then just keep going rounds with out increasing. Something you did not follow. Hard to tell what wrong without seeing your work. I think maybe you keep increase rounds. After hat crown there watch again what need to do next.
@@HappyCrochetClub Hi, I think that you didn't stop the pattern and repeat the dc for the final rows until you were done. If you repeat the dc stitch for every row after the last pattern row it will not keep expanding. remember to put your slip stitch in after every row until you get ot the length you want.
@@angelosegretto1137 Normally I making a hat crown 6"-7" it is up to pattern stretchy or not and then yes I just crochet down. I made all stitches dc and join the round with a slip stitch.

Hat will be bigger. If thin yarn then possible the same size.

Hi
I follow your instruction and trying to make beanie.
But I just want to know about the size means how to take measurement..
Please tell me
Hi, I'm making crown 72 stitches so next round which stitches i made?
Thank you extremely easy to follow
Great to hear! Thanks
Thank you
You're welcome
Can I use 4.5mm hook ,head circumference is 24" ,4.5mm hook makes any difference in the size,I like the way you are explaining, waiting for your reply
I'm pretty new to this, but I believe the hook size is what is recommended for each yarn. the number of stitches you increase to determines the size
@@RangerCaptain11A thank you for your reply 🙏
very nice.

How many grams yarn you can use in this hat
All my patterns less than 100g.
Till end will be 66 stitch ??
How much wool needed in gram
less then 100g
