    Hi my happy crocheter’s 😊 it has come to my attention that my details for sizing can not be seen at the end of the video and could not be found in my description box. I therefore am leaving them below in this comment and I will also post them to the community tab. 🥰
    Details for Beanie Sizes As Follows:
    Preemie: 4inches: 9rows: Hook size C/2.75mm
    0-3mth: 5inches: 10rows: Hook Size D/3.25mm
    3-6mth: 51/2inches: 11rows: Hook Size E/3.5mm
    6-12mth: 6inches: 11rows: Hook Size F/3.75mm
    Toddler: 61/2inches: 12rows: Hook Size G/4.25
    Child: 7inches: 12rows: Hook Size H/5.00mm
    Teen/Small Adult: 8inches: 14rows: Hook Size I/5.5mm
    Adult/Large: 81/2inches: 14rows: Hook Size J/5.75mm
    Note: these measurements and hook sizes correspond with a Medium 4 Yarn ❤️

      Ok I am going to try to get a crocheting hook the size of 5.75mm so I will not have any trouble crocheting a adult hat

      @@shdonnabolden4777 if you had a 5.5 that would still work it would just be a smaller adult size.

      Thank you l am doing the Adult/Large : 81 / 2 inches ; 14row : all so using Hook Size J/5.75mm I gets lost on some of my rows some times and be messing up my crocheting then I have to start all over again and I gets very upset cuz I have to start all over again

    I been crocheting for 50 years, however Ive never done a hat in DC. Your video was very easy, percise, and I love the CAL. I especially love the fact that you gave us the measurements, row amounts and hook size for every size. You are amazing. Thank you so very much. I will keep watching.

    I like that the same pattern is used for all sizes.. it’s amazing whst just changing the hook size can do.
    You can use the beginning to do different stitched,, and therefore, different hats. Very cool.

    Thank you. Finally a tutorial starting with a slip knot and not a magic circle and yet can still pull yarn and close up the hole in top (crown) of beanie! Such a nice voice and great instructions!!

    Love your enthusiasm for crocheting 🧶. My grandmother taught me when I was very young 6 or 7 years old and ever since it’s been an endearing hobby with great appreciation. I have taught my granddaughters along with looming but they’re a bit distracted with their cell phones, but I know they’ll come back to it one day🤗 God bless!

    Dawn thank you so much for sharing your beanie tutorial. I agree with everyone below this has got to be the easiest tutorial to follow for a beginner like myself. Believe me I have watched MANY tutorials! Our WI (women's institute) group here in the UK are knitting/crochet hats for our shoe box appeal for Romanian children.     I am trying to make a lightweight beanie in cotton/bamboo mix so it is very thin and I am using a 3.5mm hook. Do I just do more increase rows in the same ratio to make it the right size? I have started and pulled it out about 5 times!!!

      @@XeenaWallington-nu2zq I’m sorry this video is for the size hooks explained. Not knowing the size you are wanting the only thing I can suggest is to do more increase rows and more rows until you get the size you need. You could also go up a hook size even with the cotton mix and still fall low the tutorial.

    What ages would you say child is? I have to make 15 hats before Christmas, for ages 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, & 14. Trying to figure out the sizes for 5-9.

      @@briannahendrickson9818 for age 3 I would do the toddler. For ages, 5, 7, and 8 I would do the child. For ages 9 and 11 I would do teen. For 14 I would do adult. This is however just a guess. Some children and adults have smaller or larger heads than normal so I would keep that in mind. Hope this helps. ❤️

    Thank you for this tutorial! It was very easy to follow. I do have a question though. If I wanted to make it longer so that the adult hat has a fold, would I make it longer (meaning like do more rows) and continue with the 60 stitches all the way around or would I have to do decreases?

    Hi I’m wondering if you could help me I’m trying to make this beanie for my six month old grandson cody and his brother my older grandson Joey which is 2 1/2 And my granddaughter Charlotte she is 3 1/2.
