I always take instructional from her and many others. Natatzia, Nadia, Svetlana Saigon. Does the sound of names ring a note.
Good. I love them. Ugslavs Russian Switz Ukraine. Etc. Aisian. I have no idea why... They all are straight forward to the point. Clear concise with excellent video. They are not here to showcase. I have a few seasoned very mature women here I also follow. Sage. After that. No thank you. And I will only buy patterns from the same. Burnt to

Hi - I just wanted to compliment your tutorial skill:
You speak clearly, your instructions are thorough, you provide enough direction for a beginner to understand, learn and create from, and, your filming and display of technique are quite helpful. I've been searching for approximately 2 months & perusing tutorials for a crocheted beanie & this is by far the best. Thank you...

Hi again! I was hoping you might assist me with a question. I am certain that I must have made a huge error. I am fairly new to crochet, however this is my first hat. Your instructions were phenomenal however, after following the instructions, I have a disc as opposed to a hat. Might you be able to clarify for me what mistake I made? I am going to start over but am hoping that you might be of some help. Thanks!

+HappyBerry Crochet: I recently reached out regarding a problem I had when attempting to crochet a beanie for the first time. I am so happy to share that I figured it out! I just needed to use a larger crochet hook for the yarn that I was using, now, rather than crocheting a disc, a hat is now taking form. Thanks again for your great video tutorial! Sarah

Your tutorials are so straight to the point and clear, Thank you 😊 other tutorials never slip-stitched and it bothered me lol 😂 unless they were transitioning to another color then I understood .
What I love about acrylic yarn is it stretches over time and becomes so soft.

I have to say thank you for being the first and only only crochet tutorial creator (tutorialist? tutorialer?) I have seen who has been both informative and not annoying. I have seen a lot of people on youtube and other sites that have NO idea how to make a tutorial and, in not knowing how to make a tutorial, make the video very confusing for the viewer. You are clear and precise and patient and very easy to follow. Your patterns are wonderful, and your voice is not annoying in the least! I love this! Thank you so so much!

Best beanie tutorial. I use and donate every size. They are so easy to differentiate by making stripes or adding an appliqué or a flower or a Pom Pom or just leaving it plain. I make the last row as 3 rows of single crochets. I just like the way it looks. Thanks so much fir the pattern.

This was very well explained and demonstrated. I have watched several tutorials on making beanies as someone I know is going through chemotherapy has requested that I make her one. I have been nervous as I have never made one before and did not even know where to begin. Hi HappyBerry Crochet. I want to thank you for your great tutorials. I have made several of your 0-6 months and 6-12 months beanies. They are adorable and everyone loves them. I have never crocheted prior to watching your videos. Thank you for making them very easy to follow. I just have one question. I'm having a problem closing the hole at the top of the beanies. Is there a way to do the magic loop? Thank you.

    • @HappyBerryCrochet
      @HappyBerryCrochet  9 лет назад

Shannon Risch I'm so happy you are enjoying my tutorials. Thank you for your kind feedback. I have made a tutorial specifically on the magic loop if you are new to it, which you can watch here if you like: ruclips.net/video/0m0952XQjbA/видео.html then you can skip the ch5 at the beginning and simply work the 12dc into the magic loop instead.

Sapphire Willows I was taught to crotchet basic granny squares when I was 12 Sapphire . I made a blanket that I donated to my cats after 30 years. There wasn't you tube etc around back then and I found following patterns on my own very difficult so just stuck to squares or rounds. I have taken it back up recently and am loving the help on you tube. It is a lovely skill/hobby to have and is becoming quite trendy. Before long, you will have people wanting you to show them how to do it. Ignore those making fun and just embrace your hobby and skills and have fun doing it xxx

+Sapphire Willows I for one am jealous of you because when I was 12, 13 we were taught all kinds of handiwork such as embroidery and crochet but I thought it just wasn't me and quickly forgot about it. Now here I am maaaany years later learning to crochet on YT! Who knows one day you'll have a channel of your own or you can turn your skills into your job!

I love ALL of your tutorials, and recommend them to my friends and family!!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for making them for us!!! :-) I always find your videos so easy to follow, and you always have such cute projects (yarn scrap Friday's, for example). I'm really bad about remembering to comment, so that's why I'm saying something now. When I clicked on "thumbs up" and saw so many thumbs downs, I was floored! What's not to like?!?! Of course, this is just my humble opinion, LOL! ;-) But seriously, thanks for all you do, and please keep on sharing with us! I know I appreciate learning from you!!!! :-) (I can do magic circles now thanks to YOU!!!) :-) Have a great weekend!

Makes me wish I knew how to crochet. I'm an avid knitter, but is it worth it to learn to crochet? I only ask because well, knitting has become a little bit predictable, and my results come out quite similar every time. I'm just to lazy to do other stitches, even though I know them all. Bottom line, should I take up crochet?

I keep messing up....don't know how. I follow the pattern as followed and can't get 9 double crochets and then 2 double crochet increases to finish the row. like, anyone else having this issue? I'm thinking about just rolling with it and hoping for the best

I think your "bulky" yarn and American bulky yarn are different. After 7 rows, my beginning beanie measured 5 1/2 inches, which obviously was too large. I used "chunky" size 5 yarn and a 6.00 J hook. I am not sure how to modify, so will have to look for another pattern. I just wanted to note this for others. Your yarn looks to be regular worsted weight and a size 4.

Shweta Thakur It stays with the same stitch through the entire hat. In the US, what we call a double crochet.

Okay so I used a black Super Bulky 9mm Lion Brand yarn that's 106 yards. This yarn is extremely thick so I followed everything in this video up until the 3rd round. The 3rd round has 36 stitches so in that round I stopped making the increases and just kept doing the 36 double crochet stitches for the length. It fit me perfectly but it fit tight on my boyfriend. If you want to make one for a man I think you should do everything the same until the 4th round and then keep doing the same 48 stitches for the length. Although my boyfriend thought this hat looks like it's mainly for women so I won't be making this style for him. I think it's because of the thick yarn that I used.

Every year, when it's time to start making beanies for my loved ones again, I come back to these tutorials for a refresher course lol. I have used your tutorials to make these beanies for YEARS!! I've seen a million others, and none of them come close to being as clear, precise, and straight to the point, as yours. You move at the perfect pace, as well. Not too fast, not too slow. So, every time I find someone who wants to learn to crochet, I send them to your channel!! Thank you for being SO helpful!! 🥰😘💕

I have to thank you for your tutorial. I have just started to crochet and eager to learn how to make a hat. I have watched several, but your video is so precise and clear to follow. The way you show exactly how to insert the hook into the stitches, helps a great deal
You take your time stitching so it's easier to follow. Thanks, I hope I can create my own hats for family.

I must agree with those comments, you speak clearly and give enough comments, show everything in details. In fact my little man ( grandson, I started to crochet for him) said he needs a beanie with the train Tomas on a forehead. He is 2 in 2 days I hope I´ll make it. Thank you for the video. I´m using a smaller hook and different yarn, so it will be O.K.
