  • Learn how to operate the Mirage 2000C's radios and IFF transponder, in conjunction with SRS, in DCS World.
This tutorial takes place on the Caucasus map in DCS World, as well as the Digital Controllers online server.
Reiver uses the English variant of the Mirage 2000C cockpit, because he is an uneducated barbarian.
Reiver is not a hardcore milsim-er - he just likes playing the game well - if you're looking for something more authentic, please consult the flight manual.

Clear, accurate, not too long ….precious ! I yet remember when I was making compatibility and disturbances measurements between the M2000C radios receivers and the jammer transmitter on ground at 4 AM in a cold winter night, at DASSAULT premises in Istres AFB…..Good old time when I was young ….

      Wow. Sounds interesting.

With same measurement procedure for the radar vs jammer it allowed us using the radar in X band while jamming in other bands, for example a ZSU23/4 which is in Ku in the same time. M2000 was the only jet of its time allowing that in addition of a full internal ECM suite. Flexible short blanking of the radar receiver during the jammer transmission widely allowed dual use most of the time with minimal display disturbance (that is not simulated in DCS). PCM is of course necessary when radar and jamming are in the same frequency band or when a full effectiveness of the jamming is required.

Excellent tutorials as always! There is nothing left to add. Can't wait for air to ground. Keep up the great work.

I wasn't convinced to start off with but now she's one of my favourites. Her weapon loadouts may be limited but I enjoy flying the Mirage 2000C so much. Great fun for late Cold War servers.

Hey, I'm there to talk you into that madness. Grab the Mirage 2000, probably the best Fox1 experience I've tried (especially when lofting some 530s at close to mach 2 and 50000ft, devastating) and can be absolulety vicious in a Fox2 fight. Can totally fit in any 80s, 90s or even 2000s scenario and I love the French flavour and way of doing things. Even the pseudo-datalink (the TAF Téléaffichage system) is very "we ain't doing it like NATO" feeling.
And out of Air to Air, it's quite capable in Air to Ground. You can drop CCIP or CCRP bombs, even laser-guided ones if you want to play out French African scenarios of the 2010s.

@ Frankly, I am interesting in an 80s tech fighter jet after playing Flankers for awhile. I have been trialing M2000C and it fits the bill quite perfectly, but the issue is that I only play singleplayer and singleplay-centric contents by user is really lacking

@@boombaka most of the Mirage mission content I see is from French-speaking communities ! So yes, they might be hard to find !
