    Just a quick PSA:
    If you ever feel like you’re being followed or know that you are, immediately go on live social media. Make sure the person(s) following you can hear you say that you’re live on whatever type of social media and try to angle the phone to catch whoever is following you in the video. DO NOT however say you’re doing this *because* you’re being followed, as confirming they’ve been caught could cause them to figure they now have nothing to lose by accelerating to whatever nefarious activity they have planned.

    Tbh in regards to the first story, as a sleep walker this 100% sounds like she could have fallen asleep in the shower. The lights and music fading could easily be the sleep limiting her intake of the world around her and as she began to wake up, she dreamt herself adjusting everything.
    So many bizarre happenings can be explained by sleep. Its a very untouched area of science because we know so little about it and it's very hard to study but the feeling of stimuli going dull and not understanding all of what happened but still knowung you moved is very similar to my experience with sleep walking.

    • @FoxyGuyHere
      @FoxyGuyHere Месяц назад +12

      True, I have often dreams that feel real and I have had sleep paralysis. I also have fell asleep in shower couple times. Nothing weird ever happens without it being explained by dreams or gravity or weird people.

    • @ThatGreyGentleman
      @ThatGreyGentleman 22 дня назад +10

      As someone with bouts of insomnia, 100% agree. Prolonged sleep deprivation can be TERRIFYING. Audio/Visual/physical hallucinations can all occur. I’ve seen people who weren’t there, my muscles have twitched in such a way that I thought someone tapped or grabbed me, I’ve heard my fiancé calling my name, etc.
      I’ve even vividly dreamt that I did certain chores & tasks I needed to do, only to realize once I’ve ‘come to’ that it was all purely imagined.
      I’ve got no history of schizophrenia in my family, no meds that would cause this, and my Doctors have confirmed this is *common* for sleep deprivation. I cannot imagine what it would be like to live that every day.
      Honestly, that she most likely fell asleep in the shower is much much scarier than a ghost, because god forbid she fell & cracked her head against the wall…or worse 😳

    The best sleepwalking story I know is a friend of mine had a one night stand, got up in the middle of the night and left her house totally naked.
    No phone, wallet, clothes, nothing.
    Walked confidently down the road until he saw an old man walking his dog, he said the thing that woke him up was locking eyes with the guy, and being stared at was enough to bring him to consciousness... so he looks behind him... no idea which house he came out of or how long he'd been walking.
    The guy gave him a jumper, phoned him a taxi, and gave him enough money to get himself home.
    That dog walker a legend.

    My collage roommate and I were too poor too move so we lived with something we called Shadow. He liked to slam doors, turn on the shower, open cabinets, and would constantly take our cats collar off. We thought we were just crazy until our neighbor called the cops because she saw a tall man in our living room through the window. Our landlord made the cops search everywhere even under the house and they didn’t find anything. We warned the next girl who was moving in. She didn’t believe us. So crazy thing about sleep paralysis is it takes place in REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep mode, AKA when you dream. During REM, your body self paralyzes so you don't injure yourself moving while hallucinating/dreaming. Sometimes you can have "waking dreams" or sleep paralysis where you are actually aware or awake during REM.
    You are hallucinating in waking mode but because your body is still in sleep mode you are unable to move. Thus why you feel like something or someone is holding you down. It's a terrifying situation but understanding the cause helps.

I first thought that maybe he did have split personalities and that he does sleepwalk and screams quite often in his sleep, but then on the nights when he's not screaming, the other "Greg" would stalk OP. But your theory sounds more plausible. That or Shayne's talk of a "sleepwalk-off" is very true and Greg would have been the winner.

    Honestly, I think the most terrifying story from this episode was simply the story of the sleepwalking roommate. I would have been paranoid for MONTHS after that happened, and I definitely would have given everything to the police. 58:29 "violent behavior" in this case is somewhat misleading in case anyone is wondering, it seems to be defined as "causing injury", so a lot of it was bumping into things, falling down stairs, jumping out of windows, hitting your head, etc. All of kris's examples of things that would happen when she's sleepwalking would count as violence but definitely a lot less scary than it sounds

    • @layladavis02

      I know my mom sleep walks. She did mostly as a kid and sometimes now. But mostly she’s sleep sitting and just looking at the tv and says random things. But one time when she was a kid she walked in the highway to her aunts house. Tried to open the door. Her aunt seen it was her. And she just walked in and slept on the couch. Woke up confused.
      We used to have to have child proof door knob things to stop her from opening the door lol. As a kid we use to take advantage of it and ask her for permission for something. She’d say yes. And when she’s like “what are you doing” we’d say “you said I could and act surprised she was asleep”. But she also once attacked her boyfriend. He wasn’t hurt but she then opened the window and tried to jump out. So not only that night my mom could’ve possibly killed him. But also herself. Her boyfriend freaked out and that woke her up before she could make it out. She did say she was having a dream of someone chasing her. So I feel most violent behaviors are when you’re drinking and feel in danger. She also said she can feel when someone moves her while she’s sleep walking. But doesn’t know she’s sleep walking. Like I’ll move her back to her bed and in her dream it’s like a random force is punching her or some random person is pulling on her. Which that can also lead to her being a bit violent. Mostly verbally aggressive to get off of her or she doesn’t know me.
      She’s said it’s like in her dream she’s in another world and once the real world interferes with the dream. Her brain try’s fast to make it make sense in her dream. So she can be in an empty room in her dream. Hit something in real life. And then suddenly there’s a random box right in front of her in the dream. But when her brain can’t do it she gets scared and then she has a reaction in real life she’s not aware of.

    When I was little, my dad worked at a cemetery (he did the sandblasting for the headstones) and we had numerous "ghostly" things happen in our house. Later on after we had moved out my dad met a lady who could read auras. She told him that he had a comforting and welcoming aura that caused things to follow him (all my life he would bring home numerous stray animals that would follow him home too, some were rehomed and others became pets). When we heard this we thought that would explain a lot of the experiences because none of them ever felt like they were similar. Like, certain ghosts would follow him home, hang out for a day or two, then follow him back to the cemetery.
    Just thought I would share this after watching this video. I definitely want more spooky stories, all year round too.

And then when op STOPPED waking up to it when he was in his room he probably tested the water to see just how deeply op was asleep until him screaming was "normal" to an asleep op or at least hearing noises. The comment on the sleep walking story where they talked about hiding their car keys totally unlocked an old memory for me. When I was in high school, a couple other kids and myself lived fairly far from the school, so we would get picked up at our houses by a van instead of at a bus stop. One time our van driver told us that she used to work two jobs, and her constant tiredness led her to become a sleepwalker. She said she would "wake up" in the morning, make coffee and her sons school lunch, get in her car, drive to the lot where the school vans are kept, get in hers, drive to 3 different houses to pick up 3 different kids, then hop on the highway headed to the school. On the highway is usually where she would ACTUALLY wake up. No memory of doing anything before just COMING TO while driving 65 on the highway with 3 kids in her van. Said she apparently would greet the kids as she picked them up and everything. Even they didnt know she was still asleep. She insisted she slept much better those days and it wasn't a problem for her anymore, but shortly after I got my license and started driving myself instead. 😬

      Honestly these stories could also be something along the lines of DID. l have it and some symptoms can mirror sleepwalking. Have had instances where someone else wakes up does some stuff, goes back to sleep, and then l wake up later having not known l got up at all. Or just periods of time where l go to bed and just wake up somewhere random. Grogginess, confusion, lack of coordination, and weird excuses for behavior can also line up with DID.
