My last car was a BMW with hydraulic steering. It felt a lot like the sport mode steering. I really like the stiffness on sport because it feels just like a hydraulic steering BMW.
How do you find keeping your brake discs clean of rust over there in the US? I'm in the UK and i have to choose track mode with zero regen to clean them up once every 2 weeks or so with the one pedal driving. It's a bit scary to step on them hard if they are not clean from speed, esp in the wet.
Congrats man, beautiful car! I’m picking up my white/white M3P in a few hours today!!!🤩 I’m adding a front/back bumper lip/spoiler and doing the same as you to the side mirrors & tint.
I think you should. Add Tesla words in the back, and black out the front Tesla logo but honestly I would say go with red logo. I used to get so many compliments about it lol.
I just had a Tesla roadside assistance worker and he told me that at 100% my 2022 M3P has 612 horsepower so I don’t know if he was right but he sounded very sure of it
@@abyraml2245 you rent the car pretty much, instead of own it. Almost all Vehicles depreciate in value. Keep more money in your pocket. Enjoy the car for a few years, then move on to something else.
FYI, the front-rear power adjustment is only for cornering balance. It doesn't change 0-60 times. Edit: There's a .11 secs difference front-rear 100% bias spread in a straight line across Brook's runs. 0-60 times may be impacted on top of run-to-run variability, but the cornering is where you would feel the biggest change. Source: ruclips.net/video/Z4Fb6ToAg6k/видео.html
@@Iegend17 It might, but it's negligible. Most of the change is in the cornering power balance. It's certainly not shifting power in all scenarios, from what I've seen.
@@Noblistic maybe choose better words.. “is only for cornering balance…” then you continue to say “it might but it’s negligible and “MOST of the change is in cornering…” Btw, it definitely does change 0-60 times because of a thing called “weight transfer.” Very basic physics. You should look it up before you make dumb statements.
@@daviddedos I was trying to be nice to the video creator. Don't assume how much or little I know about physics. This what I get for commenting at all. How about we all try to be a little nicer.
There's basically no difference setting it 100% forward or rear. Brooks tests this in the beginning of this video: ruclips.net/video/Z4Fb6ToAg6k/видео.html The difference is .11 seconds between all runs, even in full front drive. So it's still using both motors. This is why I said this is for cornering balance and not making a significant impact in a straight line.
Do you experience any rattle noise on the interior of your Model 3? I picked up mine last month and put about 3k miles on it and I'm already experiencing interior rattling noise from a couple of different places.
In order to make it a bit less harsh, I reduced the tyre pressure to 2.2 only (in winter), and I ignored the pressure alarm. my question is , would this actually cause any bad things to the tyre or the car? (I don't care this may cost more power), (and why I set 2.2 specifically , because as I remember that Audi A5 sportsback was 2.2 by default, and that car is roughly the same weight as model 3 performance (1720kg vs 1830 kg))
if the pressure light is on, it's very bad for the tire. aside from the loss of range it causes your tires to wear faster, worsens handling (especially when wet or icy), and increases the risk of a blowout if you hit a pothole.
No it’s not but with white seats it doesn’t even look like the windshield is tinted lol. If you have black interior then go with 70% or 50% on windshield. Plus teslas have all glass roof so it doesn’t look like I have tinted windshield
Just ordered the M3P, white on white. I placed the order mid December and it says delivery is Feb 4th to March 4th, I really hope it's sooner, I can't wait!
I hate the forced one pedal driving. Coming from a manual car, and knowing how to hypermile, I consistently got more range than advertised by judicious coasting. I now get less range, about 18 miles less per charge. Besides the physics don't lie. If you're trying to maximize range, why not do it with momentum, which you've already used electrons to achieve. You'll never be able to get back the same range by converting momentum back to friction, to charging, and back to power delivery. It's absolute madness. Lawyers proposed this one, not engineers.
It's not "forced". Go in the car menu, controls, and select "roll". Now it acts like a manual with the clutch pushed in... it will even roll backwards at uphill stops. The "creep" option will allow the car to act like an auto and slowly move forward when you let off the brake. Pretty smart to give us options, right?
@@scoocher8612 Those drive mode options control what happens when the vehicle comes to a stop. They do not affect driving in any way. The problem remains that the car will engage some amount of regenerative braking and this cannot be defeated. In the Ioniq, you get 3 levels and off completely. While I'm not sure what my next EV will be, I did sell the Tesla. It just never grew on me. In hindsight, I never should have made a purchase of this cost, knowing that there were things that I would have to get used to. Technology is supposed to serve, not to encumber. I have nothing against Tesla, but I learned the hard way that just like any car, it has to fit your requirements, not the other way around.
Can't you sort of coast by only slightly pressing on the acceleration pedal? If I remember right, the first bit of the pedal reduces regen, and then the rest is acceleration.
There's a thin bar on screen to indicate when you are accelerating (green) or on regenerative (white). If you balance throttle to keep it in the middle it's the same as coasting... exactly what Prius hypermilers learn to perfect. It works, but it takes more dedicated attention than slapping a manual car into neutral and rolling. I can't speak much to hypermiling a Tesla. I bought a MP3 to have fun and wouldn't risk the paint damage from drafting other vehicles.
