👀 Oh no! Okay glad i'm filling a need for folks. Sorry it took this long to find a solid explanation. Is there anything else you'd like me to teach about the camera?
in prep for delivery of the pocket 3, i watched 100 videos; finally arrived, and yours is the setup video i came back to. thanks for the simple-yet-comprehensive explanations for the initial settings!
I have watched a bunch of videos regarding the Pocket 3 and I think you did a fabulous job and explaining the basics. I really appreciate your time and knowledge. Thank you kindly for sharing. 😊
Just picked up my Pocket 3 and watching my your video before I even peel the plastic off the box 😆🤝 For an over thinker… you’re making this simple and You’re a lifesaver.
Omg we love this little camera! best we have ever used. We used to use big dslr's and then the smaller g7x stuff but the quality we have been able to get from this is the best so far!
Just got it today instead of the Action 5. Finally! Looking forward to learning. Will use for vlogging as well as for POV for my street photography and photo shoots in general. Enjoyed this, thank you 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I watched reviews and I purchased it. It came yesterday and then your video was the first one to pop up to tell me how to use it. I already love it and I haven’t even opened the box just because of you. Thank you for this information.
I love everything about this video the vibes it gives, your voice and how you are authentically you! You just earned a subscriber and I do intend on purchasing but thank you for the congratulations in advance. Also question, what camera did you use to record this video? Do you think it would be better for me to invest in the Osmo Pocket 3 as a beginner with theses cameras instead of jumping to a Sony or Canon Camera?
I have an osmo and this video has been soooo helpful. I watched all the videos!!! 😂 I bought it to document family memories. I feel like it does a great job, but I know I’m not getting the most out of it. This video was beginner friendly. I especially liked the d-log comparison. Idea suggestion - how you would use it to record a day in the life vlog. You used the manual settings but would you do that moving around? Thank you for this video. Loved it 😍
That's what I would do, but I prefer 24fps for most things. It's really about preferences, don't be afraid to try different frame rates and see what you like more.
Thank you for being such a great teacher explaining how to use this camera. I do not have it, but was interested in buying it and your way of teaching its usage grew my desire for its ease. Furthermore, am I more interested in learning photography and lighting and am happy that I found you. I think you have a lot to offer in the way you teach. I'm not ready for a class as I'm taking business classes at the moment, but I have saved this link so I know where to find you and how to get to your class in the future. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and thank you for being super calm and eloquently explaining the camera without rushing the content like most influencers as if they need to catch a bus.
I literally just bought this and am so excited to use it now!! Thanks for a great run through. Would defo love to see more tutorials for this camera! ☺️
Hi Hallease! I’m a beginner blogger! I enjoyed your video! Please make more content for settings doing cooking videos indoors.. please and thank you 🙏🏾
Really helpful video, thank you so much! Just wondering if you guys use the selfie flip option? Because I’m facing a problem with it ): every time that selfie flip op is on, when I’m recording a video and a turn the camera the other way around, it flips the image. So I loose all the smoothness of the shot haha
🙏🏾haven’t even watched yet but think this is the video I need to see. I’m wondering if this is gonna give me good quizzes video as I am starting out on RUclips. Sis you film this video using it? Ans sorry if you answered this in the video. Watching now😇
Great teacher! This video grabbed my attention for over 10 mins… now that’s impressive!! Thank you! I just bought this camera 6 days ago, and looking for a good tutorial on how to use an external mic (wired and wireless)… Connecting the correct USB-C adapter and TRS/ TRRS cables to the camera etc… DJI doesn’t seem to have any specific info on connecting wired external mics smh!
Yeah that makes sense, I would assume they prefer you use the DJI Mic 2 with it. Is there a reason you want to connect it to the camera directly when you could record separately and sync it in whatever post editor you're using? I'd actually recommend that if you're going to go the external mic route because at least then you have back up audio on the Osmo Pocket 3 anyway.
The main reason is because I’m connecting the camera to a drum module for electric drums. Drum sounds from electric drums goes directly to headphones or an external speaker, otherwise you just hear drumsticks slapping on mesh material 😊 (imagine the sound you’ll hear when whacking your drumsticks against your camera bag). My Sony DSLR camera worked fine with my drum module.
Pretty sure this is the camera I'm gonna go with. Thank you for this! Definitely saved up for a while for it and deciding between just the camera or the creator combo like you mentioned in the intro lol!
@hallease Low light question: Low light situations would include when you are video-ing your children in a school play or a dance performance.... Do you recommend any special settings other than just the Low Light button?
I would love to see your color grading especially for black people friendly and if you use custom settings on startup if so what are your settings for custom setup?
Wonderful vid! Really enjoyed this and even though I have had the pocket a while, I am still learning preferences, thanks to excellent vids like yours.I would love to see a video on how you personally grade your pocket footage after applying the DJI colour conversion LUT. i.e. how you then take it to the next level with your grade.
Used this to help me record a video last night. Finally getting a hang of the settings even though I’ve had it since March. Now I need this for the A7C II. Just got that and feel so lost. 😔
Thank you! This was very helpful and user friendly! I'd love more info on how you use ND filters - like which ones in what type of situation, etc. I've also been on the fence in using D-LOG - I see the benefit, but I am intimidated by using luts; I'm new to video editing, so that would also be interesting to see how you best choose luts for a project? Anything OP3 related or tips for new videographers/editors piques my interest! Love your vibe!
I had mine for close to 6months, And I feel naked without it.😂😂 Is the best thing I invented in, and I’m starting to get more comfortable to recording in public now! Thank you for the info on some of the settings!!
Awesome & helpful vid. I can’t wait to get this camera for my birthday this week. It’s my dream camera too and I have so many ideas I want to create☺️❤️
That’s so tough especially since the new iPhone can do log now and you can pair it with the Lexar hard drive to have more storage too. I lean towards this only because it’s dedicated to video and if I can put my phone down then I’d rather do that. Ultimately, it’s about what you’ll actually use
Hallease, thanks for sharing all of this. This is quite the little device! How well do you think this would work to capture myself playing solo acoustic gigs at bars (low light, not much space available) and playing live in my home music space (decent light and more space.). Audio will be captured separately. My alternative would be a camera such as a Sony zv-10 and a wide angle lens such as Sigma 16mm. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
I think you could make it work for the gigs and it will be great for your own space. Ultimately it's about what you'll feel comfortable and confident using. I like this camera because it's so small it doesn't call alot of attention to itself.
Its bread and butter is the gimbal which makes it lean more towards video in my humble opinion. That being said, it also takes great photos but you lose a lot of controls that I think most photographers prefer
Hi Hallease, Great content, great channel, new subbie here, I came across your channel, cos I was researching the OP3. one question, how long can you record in 4k 24 for? can it be continuous, or does it heat up after 15mins and shut off like the go pros do?

I've had this camera for almost a year and this is the first time I've had the settings explained to me in a way that made sense. Thank you very much!
👀 Oh no! Okay glad i'm filling a need for folks. Sorry it took this long to find a solid explanation. Is there anything else you'd like me to teach about the camera?

The transition and your voice made me smile and caught my attention

I love the lighting and texture of this video it’s calming warm inviting and peaceful ❤
Thank you for noticing! 😊
Just picked up my Pocket 3 and watching my your video before I even peel the plastic off the box 😆🤝
For an over thinker… you’re making this simple and You’re a lifesaver.

You're welcome!
Ah, Hallease

I'm here to make your life easier!
Omg we love this little camera! best we have ever used. We used to use big dslr's and then the smaller g7x stuff but the quality we have been able to get from this is the best so far!
Do you prefer this for vlogging than a camera shaped vlogging camera like a Sony? I’m deciding between dji 3, Sony ev10 and Sony zvf1
Just got it today instead of the Action 5. Finally! Looking forward to learning. Will use for vlogging as well as for POV for my street photography and photo shoots in general. Enjoyed this, thank you 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
very helpful. i just recently got my dji 3. this was the first video i saw to help me get started on my film journey. thank you so much!
I’m here to help!
you are explained this so well and in a soothing voice this is amazing
Great video! May I ask what camera was used to record this video???
i love how informative and helpful this video is. you also have the most soothing voice. ahhhh thank youuu!!! 🫶🏻
Very natural warm and inviting lighting

I did NOT watch all the reviews nor unboxings 😌 BUT...I DO watch YOUR videos religiously! 😏🤭😄😆
😂
Just ordered my camera!!! So this video popped up right on time. Love how you explained everything!!
Yay! Glad I popped up for you 😌
Your channel is amazing, I am so happy I found you by mistake, great tutorial! Love your work!

1 year owner and I still watch reviews to see how others use theirs and accessories lol which is how I came around your .LRF VIDEO
YAY! I wish more people watched that video because I feel like it's very helpful but alas the algorithm had other plans
Same here! Always trying to get better
Your intro alone made me sub. ❤ you get to the point and you’re so inviting
Your video was recommended to me and I recently gotten this camera for myself as a Christmas gift…I can’t wait to test out these settings!❤️😊
I just got mine for Christmas as well from my husband. I can’t wait to figure out how to use every single option available
I just ordered one today. ❤

Ohhh great question, that could be a fun video. I’ll add that to the idea bucket list
thank you that was sooo helpful! I'm filming mainly products (in use) with natural light is 24fps the best choice?
That's what I would do, but I prefer 24fps for most things. It's really about preferences, don't be afraid to try different frame rates and see what you like more.

ok this was a million times more helpful than the DJI tutorials! Thank you
Thank you for this! Just set mine up and this made it so easy!
this video has me convinced 💞 I want
I love this thing. I am looking forward to using it in most of my projects next year.
I preordered my camera today and sooo excited to use it! Thank you for the tutorial!
You're welcome!
Loved the intro and easy to follow. Subscribed!

Love your energy ! Recently got my Sony stolen. Definitely considering buying an osmo this week before leaving the country. This is helpful 👍🏽
OH NO! That sucks! Sorry that happened to you. I like the Osmo because it is so tiny and easy to hide when out in public

Hmmm 🤔 I’m not a beauty guru but maybe?
Pretty sure this is the camera I'm gonna go with. Thank you for this! Definitely saved up for a while for it and deciding between just the camera or the creator combo like you mentioned in the intro lol!
Nice! I got the creator combo (for obvious reasons) but just getting the camera alone is good too
Great camera, thanks for the review! I’m currently filming with the same one, and I recently tested the stabilizer - it works amazingly well!
Yes the built in gimbal is dope!
Thnks for the quick tips
@hallease
Low light question:

i have had my osmo pocket 3 for quite some time i have never been more in love and intimidated by a device in my life lol

Thanks for the tips! Great stuff 🙏🏻
I would love to see your color grading especially for black people friendly and if you use custom settings on startup if so what are your settings for custom setup?
Thank you so much for this perfect video!! I plan to get this camera and will definitely refer back to your video for setup help!!
Happy to help! It's a really nice camera.
Such a helpful video! Could you do one on colour grading?
Yes please !

It takes a bit of time to get the hang of a new camera, you got this! 💪🏾
@ started putting my free month on Skillshare to good use. Thank you. 🙏🏾
Why does this video not have a million views 🤝🏾 thank you for this
☺️
Omg I feel called out 😂 yes I watched all the unboxing 😂 great hook!
Listen! I did too!
Great content great video, you’ve got a new subscriber 👌🏾
Super excited just got one for my birthday 1/3 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Your video was the first one popped up on my FYP 🎉🥰
Noice! Glad I showed up for you and welcome 🤗
Great video I have the pocket 3 and have not put it down since i bought it.
I'm with you. I can't put mine down either!
Just subscribed to you based off that intro alone 😅
Great video!
I love my DJI. I got kine back in February. It's taken all the excuses out for me. I love your videos btw
Glad you’re enjoying the camera and my videos 🙋🏿♀️

Highly recommend using the DJI mimo app on your phone for LUTS they make it really easy for anything you shoot using DLOG
@@hallease Thank you, I'll check it out! Much appreciated :)
@@halleasewait the App has LUTs 😩 so much to learn. I haven’t shot in D-Log because I can barely edit let alone figure out how to colour grade…
By any chance, what camera did you film this video with 🌸
The camera filming me is the Sony FX3 and the camera filming the Osmo is the Sony ZVE1
Great video. Thank you Caribbean Queen. 🇭🇹
I would like to see some of your cinematic samples, cause this why I’ve just purchased my osmo pocket 3. 🙏🏾
😅 im not Caribbean (at least not to my knowledge) but glad this was helpful

I had mine for close to 6months, And I feel naked without it.😂😂

Thank you for the info on some of the settings!!
This was sooooo helpful! Thank you!!!
I am looking forward to buy this!
Hey I’d like you to do a video showing how to use the DJI mimo app because previously I had issues saving the videos when I edit them.
👀
very helpful, thank you.
Awesome & helpful vid. I can’t wait to get this camera for my birthday this week. It’s my dream camera too and I have so many ideas I want to create☺️❤️
I’m so excited for you! Happy early birthday and let me know what you think after you’ve had a chance to use it!
What is the camera you used to record this video. It is so clear
Sony FX3 is on me and my Sony ZVE1 is recording the Osmo pocket 3 from above
Love this video please can you do a tutorial on how to edit videos
I have whole classes available! Check the description
Thank you ❤
Would you recommend this or the newest iPhone ??
That’s so tough especially since the new iPhone can do log now and you can pair it with the Lexar hard drive to have more storage too. I lean towards this only because it’s dedicated to video and if I can put my phone down then I’d rather do that. Ultimately, it’s about what you’ll actually use
Yeah this on my equipment wish list!!❤
I really n joyed your video on this camera, I can confidently make my purchase now... New sub here...
Thanks Ma’m
How does the vlog combo differ from the creator combo?
Thank you for this information. I would like to see how you do color grading.
That video is coming soon because a lot of y'all are asking about it!
@@hallease Yay! Ty
I'm going to save this vlog so when I can afford this camera, I will re-watch. Thank you in advance
Happy to help!
what camera are you using to record this if you don't mind me asking
So small but effective ❤
What lens are you using for this video?20 mm 1.8?
Two separate cameras the one facing me is the new Sony 24-50mm f2.8. The other on the Osmo is my Sony 85mm f1.8
Hallease, thanks for sharing all of this. This is quite the little device! How well do you think this would work to capture myself playing solo acoustic gigs at bars (low light, not much space available) and playing live in my home music space (decent light and more space.). @ excellent! The pocket 3 is definitely my preference for these convenience factors. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
Oh wow, more osmo pocket prop? Let me just go on head to Amazon 😂😅
Hey hey nice video I just got one of these for Christmas for my RUclips channel because I needed a smaller camera to vlog…. New sub here ❤
Welcome! I've got a few more videos on the OP3 coming soon
Can i know what type of your micro sd card u use for osmo? Cause mine it cannot compatable 😢. Thank you so much
Sandisk Micro SD
What camera were you using to record this video please?
Sony FX3 is filming me and Sony ZVE1 is filming the Osmo from above.
@@hallease Thank you!
It looks wonderful, however, The screen is so small how can you see?
😅 with thoughts and prayers sometimes lol
@@hallease😂 understood
I just got one and I so appreciate you! New subby here thanks
Seems the Op3 is only talked about in terms of great vloggin. What of still photos for photography.. how the picture quality.?
Its bread and butter is the gimbal which makes it lean more towards video in my humble opinion. That being said, it also takes great photos but you lose a lot of controls that I think most photographers prefer
Are you using an ND filter or letting the camera adjust itself?
I have variable ND filters for my Osmo when I shoot outside.
Hi Hallease, Great content, great channel, new subbie here, I came across your channel, cos I was researching the OP3. one question, how long can you record in 4k 24 for? can it be continuous, or does it heat up after 15mins and shut off like the go pros do?
I haven’t tested how long until it over heats but I’ve recorded for over an hour continuously at 4k 24fps
@@hallease Thanks for the 411
Pls what platform and device do you edit on ?
I edit using Adobe Premiere Pro
@ thanks so much 💕 yur quality is perfect
Thinking about throwing an anamorphic lens on that Thang!! 🤔
Yeah I've seen a few third parties come out with some.
