July 2024 Buffalo Grove Challenge GP Final

Another one that maybe got away. The competition has been so intense lately. Scott did an amazing job hanging on to a dying kart and Dominik took advantage of a lapse of judgement on my part.
Finishing order:

2. Paul Smith- Best Lap Time: 19.797 Average Lap Time: 20.018
3. Dominik Kolziel- Best Lap Time: 19.550 Average Lap Time: 20.015
4. Scott Howatt- Best Lap Time: 19.876 Average Lap Time: 20.263
5. Evan Kramer- Best Lap Time: 19.494 Average Lap Time: 20.211
6. William Smith- Best Lap Time: 19.629 Average Lap Time: 20.281
7. Steve Kasper- Best Lap Time: 20.400 Average Lap Time: 21.058
8. Josh Malecki- Best Lap Time: 20.367 Average Lap Time: 20.915

These are the tough races, but they're how you improve in the future. Looks to me like Scott's kart dies around 3:00 , and good on you for not shoving Scott out of the way to make a pass.
You've nailed the turn 1 switchback move, but Scott is good enough to defend that. A similar move out of Schumacher and before the esses is harder to defend, but harder to pull off.

Yeah the competitiveness has really stepped up lately. Scott's kart was definitely dying, he even confirmed he felt like a sitting duck afterward, but his kart placement, plus Dominik bearing down on me, was enough to keep me from trying too much. Definitely working on being able to make something happen in the double apex after Schumacher.
