That looked like a lot of fun out there racing and you were clicking off some very nice laps out there! That is crazy you burned through the front tires so much out there!!
Only sad thing about RWD is that you only have the handbrake...Otherwise I prefer it on most RC cars. Especially with a gyro on so you can get this countersteer sweetness...
First off Awesome Grimlock; is it an original Gen1? Second I love watching you race and I am very envious. All my local tracks have closed. There are rumors of someone starting a parking lot league like this, but that won't be until the spring.
Thats some good racing there, been doing a bit of parking lot driving myself in the summer. I was thinking, the front end wear could be from scrubbing due to excess turning as well, what kind of steering rate are you running?
Hey bro, I really like the m-06 chassie and I would like to build a rally car with this chassis, is it possible to do so and can this chassis be made durable enough to handle 15mph rally racing with tamiya block rally tires.
You can certainly make almost anything a rally car with the right adjustments or mods, however I would be weary of the rwd aspect of this chassis, one of the harder drivetrains to keep stable off road, being an M06 though means the weight of the motor in the back will certainly help with traction back there
Hi Rex, could you tell me how the M06 drives on wet tarmac please.? I live in the Scottish Highlands & it's very, very wet here.!! There's a newly built M06 Alfa Romeo Guilia on Ebay right now & I'm soooo tempted to buy it... I only have experience with 4 wheel drive touring car chassis. I have a 2 wheel drive Slash brushless & that thing really struggles for grip in the wet, it's actually frustrating more than fun.. I can't help but think the M06 will be the same (constantly spinning out while trying to go straight).. I don't want to get it only to be disappointed... Again.. 😔 😒 😥..! 😂 😂 Anyways, stay safe out there mate & best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️
Hi Alan, my opinion is just that, my own personal opinion based on my experiences. With that said, after reading your experience with the 2wd slash, you may not want to consider it unless youre willing to change the way you drive, 2wd is inherently harder to drive and with the motor hanging out the rear end it becomes quite the pendulum if you find it difficult to “sail” the car rather than “drive” the car. In the dry and on higher grip conditions is where i play with it most, and its great there, I cant see direction changes to be pleasant in the wet. However, I have recently changed the car i to a rally setting with longer shocks, more ride height, and rally tires, I havent had the chance to try it out but I assume it will understeer in the loose dirt until it oversteers suddenly 😅. Either way, the M06 is great fun with traction so far, but I havent driven in the wet yet.
Like the Le mans style start. Great stuff great video. Like some grass roots psrking lot racing .
You got talent

Hi Rex, some great racing with a cool Tamiya chassis. Great footage of the action too. Best wishes to you and the family 😊😊

I need to make a front wheel drive body one now.

The Alfa Romeo GTA on the MB 01 chassis but I assume it's the medium length. And what do you think of the new kyosho prototype mid?

Awesome race.
Awesome vid. Rex what oil filled shocks did you use on your m-06.

Awesome video and channel. Just subscribed

What does rear diff is open mean? Means no oils/grease?
Means very loose, it may contain oil or grease, perhaps neither, but open means it has very little to no resistance
