Just a couple notes on the DLC since you've bumped into two of them:
The Divide (door you found last ep) can be entered and left at will, but it is generally considered the last thing you should do just from general story notes. You'll potentially bump into holotapes/notes in the other DLCs that will be sort of referred back to from the divide (not that it's a huge deal). I think this is the only DLC you can leave once you start and probably the hardest combat of the bunch as a result of it being "the endgame" (but you can also complete it at level 1 if you enjoy misery enough)
The Big MT isn't too bad since you can take your own gear in. You'll be facing a lot of animals and melee enemies tho so be prepared. There are notes here that are referenced in Dead Money and The Divide.
Honest Hearts is pretty standalone. Probably the easiest of the bunch, tho I'd recommend doing it after you learn a little more about the legion just because there are a couple NPCs that are relevant to other story you'll hear (but again it doesn't really affect much if you hear about them beforehand or not)
Dead Money you don't get to keep your gear, you'll only be able to use stuff there til you get out. I think it's probably the best DLC from a story perspective, but probably the worst from an actual gameplay perspective since you're basically stuck with melee, unarmed, and pistols so the first time I did it with a charisma based "let my companions do everything" build it was exceedingly miserable (and doing it a second time with a pure unarmed build was a cakewalk). From a backstory perspective you'll bump into a person named Veronica at some point and listening to some of her story is relevant to know who a couple of the people are, but again you can't really do anything with the info so it doesn't matter a ton.
