bro simply ignored the fact that the nail gun TOTALLY ignores the targets' armor... This alone makes you able to kill several strong opponents easily just by aiming for the head. I would put it in the top 20 or 10
@@NPC20567 There was one terminal (found at X-13 if I'm not mistaken) that mentioned using a dog's brain to track the targets not the bullets them selfes. While in game it doesn't exactly track the target it does detect them by growling when near enemies. It also has visual cues like ears and a sniffer module lets call it installed on the gun itself.
The Pacienca has always been my favourite gun in this game, it's sooo satisfying to use.. I love the sound it does when shooting, I feel like it adds to the "powerful one shot" thingy it has !
Its been 1 minute and im already mad. WHY did you put the god damn Big Iron below the varmint rifle? Also I find it weird that you put the LMG some 20 places lower than the Bozar despite it being almost a straight upgrade
You don't actually have to kill to get the service rifle, you can just head up to the Mojave outpost and ask one of the guys there if you can help around, you just need to clear the bugs out of the way on a broken down road, then head back to him and he'll give you it as a reward for completing his quest.
I have been on a New vegas kick for a while (since it came out) and ReapeeRon makes top tier list looking at all weapons and looking at stats, ammo variations, mods and unique weapons along with suggested perks and builds for weapons and where to find the weapons. Very good lists.
So idk if this is true for every version. But for new Vegas on the ps3 while using any revolver if you rapidly cycle your ammo type all the way through back to your ammo of choice, if you can do it fast enough it will reload the whole cylinder while only doing the animation to reload one round.
For guns that you have to kill ncr/ specific target you can usually pickpocket ammo leave the area and they will unequip the weapon then just pickpocket that.
I disagree with dinnerbell being so much higher than the standard hunting shotgun- an almost dlc size quest to get dinnerbell and it's only better quality is a fraction more damage. The standard hunting shotgun is in my opinion better once fully modded.
You're completely right, I just assumed that it was better but looking at the wiki the fully modded hunting shotgun has better spread and holds more ammo. I'll add this as a correction in the description
Completely unrelated, I wish you could mod unique firearms. Adding silencers, extendo mag, etc. would’ve made some of those weapons much higher on the list. I agreed with the list for the most part, it was a great video! I would’ve ranked That Gun over Joshua Grahams pistol. It fits the fallout aesthetic a bit better for me.
Some can be modified. Like the weathered 10mm and mercenary grenade launcher which both can receive all upgrades for 10mm and grenade launcher each. Although weather 10mm doesn't showcase silencer, you can still hear that it's there. Also DLC uniques usually have upgrades allowed like holorifle, bear trap, OWB guns like dog gun etc
@@danielsurvivor1372 that’s good to know man. I’ve tried upgrading Maria, Lucky etc with no success. Just assumed it couldn’t be done with any uniques. Thanks for the information about the weathered, that’s actually game changing.
The LMG and Automatic Rifle outdamage pretty much all other guns except the unique Minigun. Lol LMG is also the best gun for 5.56 ammo. (Same situation with SMMG where its the best to use with 10mm) The ONLY downside of these weapons is their bad spread though. Pretty nutty list but enjoyed watching it. At least someone paid some sort of respect to the .22 smg.
It’s pretty obvious you’ve never had a max lvl character you literally put Fido the upgraded version of the gun over 20 under the un upgraded one. The Gobi isn’t gold and is by far the best vats and sneak/crit weapon in the game and the AMR is awful late game
Agree with everything except the AMR comment. It is easily one of the best SNEAK crit build weapons in the game. Invest in a suppressor, explosive ammo, better crits, etc. and you can one shot a gaggle of legendary death claws from a 1000 miles away. Sometimes with one bullet. When you aren’t using it in a stealth capacity, it does fall off late game and Christine’s Sniper easily beats it
@@MrAntiexistancerifle34157 yeah it’s my favorite weapon in FNV by far. Tons of customization, ammo variety, and easily the one of the coolest weapon designs. Might not be the absolute best in terms of damage but it’s damn close when used the right way
I was walking around with the AMR(GRA) variant around level 10. i'd say its an op gun but im pretty sure that Gauss rifle near the northern passage is broken if u dump into energy guns and kill the guy w the gauss rifle. but everyone plays differently and i just so happen to go straight for the best guns in the beginning of every playthough, or straight for the casinos with max luck and taking the cazadore route.
Fido is better than k9000, it's the upgrade. standard weapons offer same base damage as gra but can be obtained for free so not sure why large disparity. That machine should be lower as you lock out contrares who is the best vendor in the game. Upgraded hunting shotgun is better than dinner bell
i kinda lost it on paciencia. dude, put a little bit more effort. i am not even sure i should make this comment if i really dislike vid quality at this point Half of the tier list consist of "never used didn't care" argument chip and kinda dumb 0/10 low on the list
the 357 revolver is a speedrunner's best friend since there's a glitch with weapons that reload one bullet at a time that allows you to fly through the air kinda like the horse tilt in skyrim. And you can get a 357 much earlier than a cowboy repeater or brush gun.
22 lr pistol is a hidden gem. With 10 luck, +3% crit chance from trait, +5%crit chance from perk, and +50% crit damage perk, your crits gonna fly each second shot with tripple damage, destroying everything on your way. Big magazine, nice fire rate, low cost vats. 22lr and ratslayer, and you finished the game 😎
Gra versions aren’t better statistically, they can just take mods that the base version can’t. Also they have to be bought, and sometimes aren’t worth the money, so that’s a potential reason to use the base version instead
Yeah I think I should've just combined the gra weapons with the regular ones cause it kinda messes up the list having them at such varied rankings even though they're basically the same thing
"THIS IS MY FAVORITE WEAPON IN THE GAME :) Its probaply not the best weapon in the game objectively Actually the weapon kinda sucks And you have to go trough a really annoying quest to get it. And has a really slow reload animation and It doesnt do a lot of damage"
Ive found that the 5.56 pistol is a pretty decent option to give to Veronica as a ranged weapon since you can just give her a bunch of surplus rounds, and also for some reason she wont equip That Gun, so the 5.56 makes for a decent and cheap alternative. But i usually have her fight unarmed. It's just nice to have the option of a good sidearm for her, although early on her default 10mm can be serviceable enough.
Abilene should defo be higher as if you build it right its crit damage will do as much damage as the anti material rifle but has cheaper ammo, more rounds and its lighter weight.
Abeline Kid LE BB gun is actually quite good if you have luck 10 and focus on getting more crits and boost crit chance in general. it oneshots most things and can deal with a deathclaw in 2 to 5 crits or less if you are lucky. I wouldnt say its top 10, but its near that imo
I actually like the varmint rifle and usually have it as a hotkeyed weapon. It comes in handy when you run into weak enemies and don’t want to waste 12 gauge or 45-70 ammo.
i love the sequoia but i always end up giving it to raul. It's got a spread of .1 in game so he gains an aimbot. His vaquero perk buffs the dps alot, swc rounds also make him more of a menace than graham & his pistol. Oh & he doesnt have any chance of a per bullet reload buggin out like medicine stick, speed loaders are king
So surprised he didn’t put the medicine stick at the bottom for being single shell reload like he hated on everything else for being. Also where’s the alien blaster? I’m curious as to where you’d rank that cause if you don’t have energy weapons high it’s useless but if you have it high it’s the most op thing ever and it’s really easy to get
Is the .357 SAA and the lever action really that bad? I’ve been playing New Vegas for the first time (great game so far, although pretty early on) and I’ve been using the 2 and they’ve been great. Look good and feel good too
Yes i can hate on the Medicine Stick. It's a VERY MARGINAL upgrade over the base Brush Gun while being 3× the price It gets out-DPSed by most high end guns and that's assuming you're reload swapping so in actuality it's DPS tanks compared to others. And it gets outperformed when it comes to single shots. The cz57 Avenger has shit DPS compared to alot of other weapons, but that is the sad fate of low crit auto weapons Lil' Devil and Ranger's Sequoia are just better thab ALSiD Dinner Bell is dogshit compared to the Riot Shotgun. AMR is dogshit compared to Paciencia and COS at sniping
When you commented on the 45. Auto submachine gun, I stopped and had to comment. Lmao BROTHER! One of the most iconic weapons ever! "Mafia looking gun" 😂
Well, consider _why_ it's so iconic. It's very heavily associated with the whole 1920s gangster/noir aesthetic - arguably moreso than anything else it's associated with. So, y'know, it's a fair point to make.
Smoking some tweak with this list. Trail carbine isn’t bad at all if you want to diversify ammo types, and they’re worth a quite a bit. Even if you don’t like using it, you can still farm them off the legion assassins.
Whenever I see someone put Christine's over the gobi I immediately know that they don't know what they're talking about Gobi is hands down the best sniper in the game just off of ceiling alone In case noone knows w the right sniper build and perks a gobi can 100% crit for over 350 dmg base not including stealth multipliers
LMG can hold 100 rounds in a single mag change Fast firing, Guaranteed multiple crits , pairs well with shooting speed/crit/agility builds And…can hold 100 rounds in a single mag change
I was in the 82nd coming back from my first deployment when I found the All American rifle in that ghoul infested shithole of a vault. I was shocked to see my unit patch on the gun.
Hey the service rifle part did you forget new vegas fans fight them selves theres literally people calling a bunch of maniac slavers based which messed up even in fiction
I knew there was gonna be a lot of shit in the comments watching this lol I just think it's neat to see what someone else enjoys. Being wrong about the mechanics doesn't matter that much. The game isn't really difficult or anything.
To me the Cowboy Repeater and its "upgrades" like Brush Gun etc., are easily the most fun. I mostly play EW because I'm cheap, but if I choose guns, I max out Agility and get Rapid Reload asap for the repeaters. Sleepytime would be my favourite in terms of looks, so many caps tho
All depends on how you play the game and what locations you're using them at. Most of the single shot, bolt action, lever action. They work best at range. I usually never used them for anything close. I would relie on the varmint rifle until I got a hunting rifle. You do get the cowboy repeater more early. However ammo wasn't as common as the 5.56 and also not as accurate as the varmint rifle. Wouldnuse the hunting rifle until I got a anti material rifle. Yes you can choose to use the sniper rifle, but I usually modded the hunting rifle to the point that the sniper rifle wasn't needed. The brush gun and trail carbine were there also. However ammo for those are rather rare and getting spares to repair them wasn't common. You had to choose to actually want to use those. Once I get a anti material rifle. I use that through the whole game. I'll buy all the ammo needed for it. The semi auto's are better for range and close combat. They also work good in tight quarters. I usually used the service rifle alot in the game because it was very versatile. I just wish it had mods for it. I would take a marksman carbine or All American. However they are stuck with a scope and I would rather have that as a medium range weapon. Semi auto pistols were a decent side arm and I like to have more ammo in the mag is needed. The weathered 10mm is the best option until you get a 45 auto pistol. The 12.7mm pistol would be the best option. I just hate the way it looks. I never really used Revolvers because they held less ammo and you really needed them to hit the target. Mostly just used them for hard hits they make, but usually not something I would relie on. Usually just the 44 is all I would get. Shotguns had a great benefit with the ammo options. Slugs absolutely destroy the enemy. I usually used them in tight areas like buildings or vaults. Dinner Bell was my go to. Full auto wasn't something I cared to bring with me. The assault carbine is a shredder. However the ammo is rare and not very accurate. The 9mm,10mm12.7mm submachine gun don't offer the benefit that the pistols with sane round offer. So its a waste of ammo in my eyes. The minigun, shoulder mount are heavy and I usually stay away from the extremely heavy weapons. The LMG is a decent weapon and probably the only one I would carry with me if needed. The 308 auto rifle is just too hard on 308 rounds. I need that for my hunting rifle. The 22mm silence submachine gun is obsolete as soon as you get the 10mm silenced. These are best served in tight areas or if the enemies are coming at you in a funnel formation. Otherwise its just a waste of ammo.
I think it’s strategic that the single shotgun fires one bullet, and because it’s so accurate (most accurate shotgun in the game) you can snipe people with it which is always funny.

Used that gun plenty of times never noticed it nor does any wiki mention it. Would be a nice idea for a mod though.
@@MrAntiexistancerifle34157 im pretty sure it was in a terminal entry
@@NPC20567 There was one terminal (found at X-13 if I'm not mistaken) that mentioned using a dog's brain to track the targets not the bullets them selfes. While in game it doesn't exactly track the target it does detect them by growling when near enemies. It also has visual cues like ears and a sniffer module lets call it installed on the gun itself.
@@MrAntiexistancerifle34157 that was probably it, i guess i just misunderstood what it meant by tracking targets
People can say all they want about “people have different opinions” but no this guy ain’t telling his opinions, he is spreading false information
The Pacienca has always been my favourite gun in this game, it's sooo satisfying to use.. I love the sound it does when shooting, I feel like it adds to the "powerful one shot" thingy it has !
2:25 when the narrators house got flooded
Its been 1 minute and im already mad. WHY did you put the god damn Big Iron below the varmint rifle?
Also I find it weird that you put the LMG some 20 places lower than the Bozar despite it being almost a straight upgrade
Great video man. Thanks for keeping the game alive
If I took a shot every time I heard “Next up” or “except” I’d get alcohol poisoning half way through the video. Get my boy a thesaurus.
You can get an early game service rifle from ranger jackson after killing some ants for him. He's in mojave outpost.
Not a terribly practical choice but my favorite was always Paciencia
I thibk you missed one, i may be wrong, but Vance's 9mm smg is my favorite weapon in the game
13:09
You don't actually have to kill to get the service rifle, you can just head up to the Mojave outpost and ask one of the guys there if you can help around, you just need to clear the bugs out of the way on a broken down road, then head back to him and he'll give you it as a reward for completing his quest.
I have been on a New vegas kick for a while (since it came out) and ReapeeRon makes top tier list looking at all weapons and looking at stats, ammo variations, mods and unique weapons along with suggested perks and builds for weapons and where to find the weapons. Very good lists.
The Varmint Rifle, when fully modded, makes for an amazing scout rifle.
You have the lmg ranked way too low
So idk if this is true for every version. But for new Vegas on the ps3 while using any revolver if you rapidly cycle your ammo type all the way through back to your ammo of choice, if you can do it fast enough it will reload the whole cylinder while only doing the animation to reload one round.
I'm pretty sure the K9000 Cyberdog and FIDO were made by Doctor Borous in OWB.
The CZ57 Avenger with armor piercing is dead wind cavern’s bane.
WMX (Weapon Mods Extended) My beloved. Probably my favorite mod even if it makes some weapons a little OP
@@moogandacasio I love it man, gonna try it out! Just gotta figure out how to mod 😅
7:17 bruh..... you can get it early in the game, by speaking at the checkpoint (near long 15) to some guy, he will ask to kill some ants
The LMG and Automatic Rifle outdamage pretty much all other guns except the unique Minigun. Lol
LMG is also the best gun for 5.56 ammo. (Same situation with SMMG where its the best to use with 10mm)
The ONLY downside of these weapons is their bad spread though.
Pretty nutty list but enjoyed watching it. At least someone paid some sort of respect to the .22 smg.
gobi campaign + Jsp rounds (handloader perk) + crit build = god mode
Me when see the video :ooooh a ranking video
Me when see .22 silencer pistol above 9mm : this guy is high when making this list
Sneak crits/normal crits are the only reason. The base damage, dps and crit values matter.
@@rements4737 still .22 dmg is very low even when crit
@@gunawanputera6443 with maxed out perks its better all things considered.
You can get la longue carabine without killing that nice guy just pick pocket his ammo leave wait a day then pick pocket it out his inventory
are you using a weapon retexture mod?
Will you be making an energy/melee weapons tier list as well?
It’s pretty obvious you’ve never had a max lvl character you literally put Fido the upgraded version of the gun over 20 under the un upgraded one. The Gobi isn’t gold and is by far the best vats and sneak/crit weapon in the game and the AMR is awful late game
Agree with everything except the AMR comment. It is easily one of the best SNEAK crit build weapons in the game. Invest in a suppressor, explosive ammo, better crits, etc. and you can one shot a gaggle of legendary death claws from a 1000 miles away. Sometimes with one bullet. When you aren’t using it in a stealth capacity, it does fall off late game and Christine’s Sniper easily beats it
@@slintisbased The modifications for the GRA variant as well as the ammo options are great for exemple the explosive ammunition.
Upgraded hunting shotgun is better than dinner bell
i kinda lost it on paciencia.
dude, put a little bit more effort. i am not even sure i should make this comment if i really dislike vid quality at this point
Half of the tier list consist of "never used didn't care" argument
chip and kinda dumb
0/10 low on the list
The other issue with the trail carbine is by the the time you see it in the game, you also see the brush gun which is far superior.
Wow I can’t believe you said you like how the service rifle looks! I hate it with all my heart 😂
Thanks for the video :) 👍🏿
the 357 revolver is a speedrunner's best friend since there's a glitch with weapons that reload one bullet at a time that allows you to fly through the air kinda like the horse tilt in skyrim. And you can get a 357 much earlier than a cowboy repeater or brush gun.
You can get a service rifle from killing the ants and asking for a reward after in that town past nipton. The dude gives you a munitions supply
nice vid mate
They will be better once they have all the mods equipped though
😎👉👉
@@dr_mercioyeah and money isn’t really a problem in New Vegas anyways
I believe the non GRA Assault Carbine can take mods, not sure if that's a bug though.
@@GrufflebumI think there’s one mod for the non gra assault rifle, but three for the gra, so the non gra can take a mod but the gra can just take more
"THIS IS MY FAVORITE WEAPON IN THE GAME :)
Its probaply not the best weapon in the game objectively
Actually the weapon kinda sucks
And you have to go trough a really annoying quest to get it.
And has a really slow reload animation
and It doesnt do a lot of damage"
Is it silented .22 smg
The damage is bad
Slow reload
And get the platinum chip?
It comes in handy when you run into weak enemies and don’t want to waste 12 gauge or 45-70 ammo.
could you do one for other weapons? like melee, energy and explosives?
I’m doing a BOS paladin run. Would you do ranking for function weapons like the NCR’s weapons
Assuming you mean faction, if you can find a gauss rifle, use that, if not id go for a tri beam laser rifle or some type of plasma rifle
i love the sequoia but i always end up giving it to raul.
Look good and feel good too
Sawed off shotgun with the and stay back perk is busted, it has a ~75% chance to knock enemies over which is crazy good
I really like the lever action shotgun. Surprised it’s ranked so low.
Yes i can hate on the Medicine Stick. It's a VERY MARGINAL upgrade over the base Brush Gun while being 3× the price
It gets out-DPSed by most high end guns and that's assuming you're reload swapping so in actuality it's DPS tanks compared to others. And it gets outperformed when it comes to single shots.
The cz57 Avenger has shit DPS compared to alot of other weapons, but that is the sad fate of low crit auto weapons
Lil' Devil and Ranger's Sequoia are just better thab ALSiD
Dinner Bell is dogshit compared to the Riot Shotgun.
AMR is dogshit compared to Paciencia and COS at sniping
Where gauss?
Guns not energy weapons.
I love the laidback and completely arbitrary tiering
12:41. To answer this, ill say 4 words.
Free rifle for boone
The all American was my favorite gun, it was a pain to get but worth it
After seeing number 67: never let him cook again
When you commented on the 45. Auto submachine gun, I stopped and had to comment. Lmao BROTHER! One of the most iconic weapons ever! "Mafia looking gun" 😂
Well, consider _why_ it's so iconic. It's very heavily associated with the whole 1920s gangster/noir aesthetic - arguably moreso than anything else it's associated with.
So, y'know, it's a fair point to make.
Didn't know half of these guns even existed in FNV
Smoking some tweak with this list. Trail carbine isn’t bad at all if you want to diversify ammo types, and they’re worth a quite a bit. Even if you don’t like using it, you can still farm them off the legion assassins.
Stupid people find best guns
True enjoyers use what they like
Whenever I see someone put Christine's over the gobi I immediately know that they don't know what they're talking about
Gobi is hands down the best sniper in the game just off of ceiling alone
In case noone knows w the right sniper build and perks a gobi can 100% crit for over 350 dmg base not including stealth multipliers
That one is more of a preference. Just boils down to if want a silenced weapon
LMG can hold 100 rounds in a single mag change
Fast firing, Guaranteed multiple crits , pairs well with shooting speed/crit/agility builds
And…can hold 100 rounds in a single mag change
Dinner bell over the survivalist rifle is insane
So the hunting rifle is worse then the sniper rifle even if we count the crit
I was in the 82nd coming back from my first deployment when I found the All American rifle in that ghoul infested shithole of a vault. I was shocked to see my unit patch on the gun.
Hey the service rifle part did you forget new vegas fans fight them selves theres literally people calling a bunch of maniac slavers based which messed up even in fiction
Riot shotgun for me no matter what
Buckshot normally but they a little far? Slugs
Robot? Pulse Slug lol
As a stealth player I can't let go of my sleeptyme.
I am deeply disappointed that Medicine stick didn't make it to top 5
I knew there was gonna be a lot of shit in the comments watching this lol
I just think it's neat to see what someone else enjoys.
