The Gobi Campaign was always my go-to. It's an easy op gun to get really early on and works for all sniping needs. That, the 45 smg, hunting shotgun, and 45 pistol were my standard constant setup.

I was about to yell at you for placing the police pistol that low but the justification of having to play the entirety of dead money so you can use it is actually pretty valid. It's goated as hell but by the time you get it, you'd more than likely had a hunting revolver or a 12mm pistol by your side before you entered.

The NCR service rifle is a reward for a few quests. Camp Searchlight dog tags quest & I think a quest in Forlorn Hope or another early game NCR Camp gives it away as a reward. Its also quite easy to get if you go to anywhere the Legion or Fiends are likely to meet the NCR as a few troops usually die. Also some areas have dead NCR with it normally like Nelson, Ranger Camp Charlie & a few other areas.

I disagree about the Caravan shotgun. This is almost the best shotgun for a weak character build. Low weight. You can carry more valuables. + Variety of ammo. Which will allow you to use it at short and long distances. + Low repair cost, and the shotgun itself is widespread. it should be much higher

I always have 2 problems regardless of what I do. One stutters (I have a high end gaming PC) and two the LOD is always messed up even if I generate one. What can I do?

Would installing all of these mods into MO2 in the order the video shows them after installing Viva New Vegas work? Or would I need to customize the load order in some way?

For some reason when I walk into certain areas or when I walk into a building my screen freezes on the loading screen and then crashes is there anything I can do to fix this ?

I spent nearly two weeks installing and testing mods before i truly started to play.

The other issue with the trail carbine is by the the time you see it in the game, you also see the brush gun which is far superior.

I actually like the varmint rifle and usually have it as a hotkeyed weapon. It comes in handy when you run into weak enemies and don’t want to waste 12 gauge or 45-70 ammo.

22 lr pistol is a hidden gem. With 10 luck, +3% crit chance from trait, +5%crit chance from perk, and +50% crit damage perk, your crits gonna fly each second shot with tripple damage, destroying everything on your way. Big magazine, nice fire rate, low cost vats. 22lr and ratslayer, and you finished the game 😎

All depends on how you play the game and what locations you're using them at. Most of the single shot, bolt action, lever action. They work best at range. I usually never used them for anything close. I would relie on the varmint rifle until I got a hunting rifle. You do get the cowboy repeater more early. However ammo wasn't as common as the 5.56 and also not as accurate as the varmint rifle. Wouldnuse the hunting rifle until I got a anti material rifle. Yes you can choose to use the sniper rifle, but I usually modded the hunting rifle to the point that the sniper rifle wasn't needed. The brush gun and trail carbine were there also. However ammo for those are rather rare and getting spares to repair them wasn't common. You had to choose to actually want to use those. Once I get a anti material rifle. I use that through the whole game. I'll buy all the ammo needed for it. The semi auto's are better for range and close combat. They also work good in tight quarters. I usually used the service rifle alot in the game because it was very versatile. I just wish it had mods for it. I would take a marksman carbine or All American. However they are stuck with a scope and I would rather have that as a medium range weapon. Semi auto pistols were a decent side arm and I like to have more ammo in the mag is needed. The weathered 10mm is the best option until you get a 45 auto pistol. The 12.7mm pistol would be the best option. I just hate the way it looks. I never really used Revolvers because they held less ammo and you really needed them to hit the target. Mostly just used them for hard hits they make, but usually not something I would relie on. Usually just the 44 is all I would get. Shotguns had a great benefit with the ammo options. Slugs absolutely destroy the enemy. I usually used them in tight areas like buildings or vaults. Dinner Bell was my go to. Full auto wasn't something I cared to bring with me. The assault carbine is a shredder. However the ammo is rare and not very accurate. The 9mm,10mm12.7mm submachine gun don't offer the benefit that the pistols with sane round offer. So its a waste of ammo in my eyes. The minigun,shoulder mount are heavy and I usually stay away from the extremely heavy weapons. The LMG is a decent weapon and probably the only one I would carry with me if needed. The 308 auto rifle is just too hard on 308 rounds. I need that for my hunting rifle. The 22mm silence submachine gun is obsolete as soon as you get the 10mm silenced. These are best served in tight areas or if the enemies are coming at you in a funnel formation. Otherwise its just a waste of ammo.

I bought an old high end PC with 60hz monitor just to play this and most fallout/skyrim games that don't work past 60 fps. Much better. Now I have the best of both worlds.

Forgot the unique Riot Shotgun - absolute best shotgun in the game.
