install looks very very clean but... my personal advice switch your cut off to a 150 psi i believe thats what mine is. i think it was like turn on at 135 and cut off at 150. 100 is too low bro just aint enough power. Have at least a 1 to 2.5 gallon air tank. Also make sure its wired into a relay off your accessory wire that way if you forget to turn of your switch it wont drain the battery when the truck aint on. i just bought a ram and pulled my viair 480c with 1 gallon tank before i gave it to them for the trade. Old set up i had was a pretty ugly set up unlike your pretty ass setup. i had it in the bed to protect the compressor.Looking to get it out of the way but also not damage it as well as i plan to do some light 4x4 ing in the truck at times but mostly for towing as well. trying to find a good idea where to put all this stuff. ugh im old and lazy to install this stuff. might run the air filter intake into the bed or somewhere along those lines. its not that easy to install these as simple as it seems really but its not something you do every day to say the least. ugh im such a sissy.

More psi and a tank would be a nice setup. I’ve had a few different on board air setups in the past and they were definitely faster. The best setup I had was the sanden a/c compressor in my xj that I converted to an air compressor. It put out tons of air quickly. I had the same switch you described, 135 psi on, 150 psi off, and it supplied a 5 gallon mini truck tank with multiple ports. One line was regulated to ~90psi to run the ARB lockers and the other lines were full psi. It ran air tools pretty well but air tools are not as convenient as electric tools now. As far as this setup as an air source on my tow rig it is sufficient and reliable. I don’t see the need to change how it is setup because I mostly use it for topping off trailer tires or the ram’s tires. I will let a little air out of the ram when not towing and bump the air back up when towing. I don’t air down the rock crawler but sometimes I need to add a little. It is on a relay, but it is wired so it can be used when the truck is off. It would be easy to wire it for ign if somebody wanted to do that. The only “issue” I ran into is when I installed a decked drawer system in my truck I had to move my air QD in the bed but that was an easy fix. I have had this setup a few years and it’s working well.

@@tims_4x4_garage Ah i see ya i thought you had a tank ya I see y u dont need it just for filling tires but admit its nice to have. its not real difficult to do just like another approx 140 bucks and just a lil more time/space mounting stuff. also need an additional wire with fuse and additional relay and make sure to wire it so that the compressor runs through the pressure regulator switch. i think most ppl do it for an air horn - not me and i think ud need a bigger tank for that. I notice ur push on connectors cant handle past 120 psi either from what i saw. i had been connecting my hose straight to a t off the tank which i had mounted the tank and compressor sideways in the bed between the wheel well and the tail gate. on my new truck i will put it all underneath and i will use the same arb connector but will probably put it coming out next to the license plate but i will try and flush mount it using the internals of a curt 51850 7 pin wiring harness i saw a guy do this online it looks sweet as hell. This way you also use the dust cover from tha which is better and it all looks like a factory install. heres i the link to what im talking of: ruclips.net/video/e_c9GpwxJ0M/видео.html
but im not going to use that push on hose set up i need it to handle 150 psi so ill just use regular air hose with barb and pipe clamp and hope for no leakes lol. not really sure how else to do it. I am thinking to also add another 1 gallon tank later but these tanks only have 4 slots so it means using tons of t's. Kinda tacky better just to use a 2 gallon that already has 6 but we'll see. another mod i wanna do is put one or 2 amazon cheap led rear facing light bars for backing up in the trails at night cuz i cant see anything for crap behind backing up in my rear view camera at night thats always a huge problem for me. I am not sure the legality here in nevada of doing that plus i will likely be in arizona and cali a lot because. I will be sure to just put covers on it while not in use i dont dare wanna deal with getting a ticket over it..... but I had that set up when I had my street legal (partially) utv side by side and it makes backing up while 4x4 at night a breeze being able to see front and rear. i dont plan to do crazy off roading but just to be able to get where i want taking my time. also have a big boat that i tow to lake mead. Its hot here in the southwest desert heat and i dont like to be out in the day time and i am graveyard right now in las vegas. I also wanna be able to get out to the lake to go fishing and see better at say 3:30 am.. im 40 retired hvac 20 years (for now) dont really want to go back to working in the heat might sell my house i bought 2010 paid off a few years later. might move w my girlfriend and to another country or my other house maybe til houses come back down. something along those lines. also wanna get a cover for my ram when not using the sun beat hard out here theyre pretty cheap on amazon.

hes filling a boeing 747 airplane tire with his ram. i have 2 480c viair compressors but only going to install one. geeze be grateful you can even be able to accomplish a task as huge as filling that blimp of a tire remotely youre talking some 400 gallons of air per tire at that kinda pressure. this kind of stuff takes time my man. ya you probly can cut the time in half with 2 but all the matters when it comes to big time stuff like this is that the job got done. psh 2 compressors just so you can pump it up a little faster. nah thats dumb. twice the weight twice the space twice the head ache. i like this set up just get it up to 150 psi thats no bueno for me at all. need 150 for air tools and for blow gun etc.

I just got the twin set up for my 19 RAM, where did you get your power from to the red/ylw and blue/wht leads from?

I’m not sure how many amps the twins draw but for mine I cut apart the included wiring harness and only used the parts that I needed. I don’t remember the wire colors but I ran 10 gauge to the battery and the illumination I got from the parking light circuit at the tail light.
