What armor set were you using?
The trolls golden sword has insane poise with the weapon art.
I used a not upgraded one in pvp against a friend and they kept taking a lot of damage from the overhead attack
The Roar Medallion now works with Dragon Communion Incants and the Crucible Breath Incant as well!
God Slayer “GreatSword” is legitimately going to be so good now with increased scaling and it already had a faster light attack chain then other Colossal great swords so the buff to its attack speed could have made it insane.

Really happy that the Axe of Godfrey was included in these buffs, that C scaling was really painful especially considering he's the perfect example of strength, you'd think it would have at least a B or even A or S scaling lol
I agree. Sometimes the characters and lore do not match with the weapons you get from these characters. Like why on Earth is the Greataxe NOT S-tier?
It gets a bit of AR increase, but I kinda want them to raise the Scaling rank to B and C for Strength and Dex at least, preferably more. Though I suppose they want to balance it considering it'll usually gets 10% AR bonus from the weapon skill
Scaling does not matter in and of itself. Scaling is a modifier applied to your base damage, and the axe of godfrey has a lot of base damage. D scaling on a weapon with 400 flat damage will get way more scaled damage from 50 in a damage stat than S scaling on a weapon with 150 flat damage.
One interesting change that wasn't specifically mentioned in the patch notes, is that the Contagious Fury -buff from the Jellyfish Shield is now retained even if the shield is swapped off-hand, or even removed entirely. This makes it a viable option for virtually any build.
To add a little bit more, due to the way they implemented the buff this go around, you can actually buff yourself twice with a single Jellyfish Shield, since left hand and right hand buffs are still counted separately. So, you can equip it on the right hand, buff, switch it to your left hand, buff again, and you'll get the buff twice.
This is a good change! I guess the damage buff nerf is worth it

Another change that was listed as a bug fix is that the roar medallion now increases the dragon communion incantations
As someone who's been using colossal weapons since pre 1.04 when they were arguably bad

@SYROBE heck yes! No rush obviously. Just really dig your content. As a longtime FromSoft fan, who found Elden Ring to be incredible but also extremely frustrating at times, coming back to the game after a year and with so much more quality data has been refreshing and given me a new perspective. I used your Reduvia/Rivers build to beat the game, and I didn't need to summon for the Third Act bosses like I did when I just built a slipshod paladin build on my own. So thanks for reinvigorating my interest in the game! Keep up the good work.
Whip recovery time was massively improved which I think would be really interesting to try and make a cool whip build from yourself
Starscourge Greatsword which I'm using on my 1st playthrough as a level 205. The Starcaller Cry slam now is a tad bit faster but it felt like it took forever to proc the follow-up attack before the buff.
When farming runes at Mogwhyn Palace now, those enemies don't have a chance to get a hit on me when I pulled them in and then slammed the weapons into the ground.

i have started my third playthrough of Elden Ring and i am using the Great stars or way i call it the great mace hammer with fire in PreLate Charge and the damage of it...I can see how awesome the patch is with the ash of war.

Key note to everyone, the jellyfish shield is currently bugged. If you have the buff active certain spells won’t deal any damage, such as the frenzy spells.
Guess I’m a great sword now :)

also i think greyoll's roar incant finally gets boosted by the roar medalion
The light roll isn't specifically a 'nerf', since it's worse in certain situations (rolling away from astel area of effects, malenias waterfowl, etc) but better in others, like when you are engaging a small/medium sized boss and end up missing attack opportunities because your light roll brought you way too far to melee the boss.

Something I read which I didn't entirely understand was the Shriek of Milos buff.
It just does poise damage now. Nothing special.
The saddest thing is that in this game I decided to use daggers, there is no difference in weapons 😂 (and no updates)
I used the intelligence flail just for the looks alone
1:26 it's possible it is just a problem with Windows since on linux (distro I'm using is popOS) I have no problems running max ray tracing on a laptop with a 3060.... just a normal 3060 not a TI. 60 fps no problems, its not your pc.

I'm really curious how the increased scaling affected the Beastclaw Greathammer. In most games, all maces look jank and cruddy, or are literally just sticks. Elden Ring finally broke from that and gave us this sick ass golden lion claw mace, but it's damage before the patch was SO mediocre... I'm hoping at +10 it's better now...

this patch has made my favorite weapon the giant crusher unusable in pvp the increased scaling doesn’t really matter if i can’t hit someone after that person attacks

@@zeusayala i started using two colossal weapons and it’s even better but i can’t really do well against halberd paired with a thrusting sword because it’s too fast for my weapons and i don’t feel like switching because i just don’t like using anything other than colossal weapons

tbh, I can do max raytracing and I can barely spot a difference. the biggest difference is the fps drop from 60 to 40. other than that, it's a "slightly darker"-filter. you get better results with nvidia live filters tbh.

All changes effect mainly pvp though. In pve blood builds and mages will still stay easy pick. All those better movesets are nothing in comparison to 6k night comet dmg and 7k curved sword jump attack.

They have to nerf light roll right when I'm trying to beat Malenia with no shield no summons no magic. Waterfowl Dance is already incredibly hard for your average player to evade. She would just be a great boss without it, but when that single move kills me 99% of the time, I have to wonder about the design. And now it's harder to evade. Great.

People worry about their builds like if “ larvar tears “ didn’t exist in game. If your build goes poop poop then use a larvar tear and stop crying . Jesus….
I dont personally use light roll much but im not a fan of things being balanced around pvp for the pve experience. They shouldve given it some kind of nerf for pvp activities only. People sacrifice quite a bit to be able to light roll and hurts level 1 runs.
Where did it say anything about light roll being nerfed due to pvp? If anything it was challenge runners commenting on how amazing the light roll was.
@@demonintellect9834 There are videos on yt where people were showcasing being untouched with light roll in pvp and it seems to be the general consensus. Also i disagree, you sacrifice so much to be able to use it in the pve setting the nerf was uncalled for imo.
