For Marjo specifically, I'm so impressed with your learning 2 additional languages, immersing yourself in the culture there which must be sometimes difficult as a foreigner, and on top of that the roughing it! You seem to have the perfect personality for not worrying too much and making the best of things and getting things done. And An has so many impressive skills that are just fascinating to watch, whether it's building the house or even seemingly effortlessly climbing a tree and skillfully cutting into a coconut. It's really interesting to get this little window into your everyday world, which is SO different from mine. Thank you for sharing.

It’s amazing how you 2 have build a beautiful home together. Growing up we didn’t have electricity and running water. Though it wasn’t off the grid type of living it was just under developed at the time. Miss those days. Hopefully, you guys stay healthy and continue building your dream life on the island. We have thought about it but for the moment we aren’t going to do it! We do take people from other resorts/hotels on day trips to explore the jungle and learn more about the Mentawai culture ☺️

Yes! Been thinking about doing a video like that. There are many taboos and intricate rules in the Mentawai culture, i’ve been trying to find a way to make a video and explain it a bit more but it’s pretty complicated 🫣☺️
