If the commute ain’t too bad - Wreckingball MMA is where I train at. It’s north of Chicago, in Gurnee. That’s abt all the help I got for you unfortunately!
I'm 57 also.you don't have to go full hard, break a sweat but ultimately you control the pace. Pay attention to your nutrition, this will definitely help too.
Perfect age to start! Get busy living or get busy dying. Take it at your own pace, include some light strength training like pushups (do easier variations if needed, just look them up) sit ups and body weight squats, this will really help. Also look into stretches for Muay thai/ kick-boxing. Overall doing regular yoga sessions is a great all rounder, builds both strength and flexibility, the are some great yoga channels on RUclips for free, good luck!
100% man, I'm training in thailand now for a month, the camp that I'm at has on average 3 or 4 guys in their 50s each day (beginners by the way). If you have that itch scratch it and start training otherwise you will always be wondering what if. Not to mention how effectively the training is at getting you into great shape.
@@CB-dl1vg it’s crazy you say that I do 150 pushups with body weight squats I was running 3.5 miles 3 times a week got hurt in the job so I’m giving my body a break
Stretching is crucial too
