    Suggestions, paint the wood before installation . . . if you put a shelf in, make sure you position the rod such that allows enough room for clothes hangers to go on and off with ease . . . good video thanks

    Rod #1. Board. Dresses. Wall

    What do you do when no studs are possible even in the corners? I'm working with a closet that is breaking my brain, as it seems to have boards on the sides just nailed into the hollow drywall. No corner studs. No anchors. But it has held up for almost 40 years?! I just need to install more shelves and I have no idea how the old boards are secured to the wall properly.

    • @getitdonehomerepair
      @getitdonehomerepair  Год назад +1

      I would say that if it has been up for 40 years it must be nailed or screwed into a stud somewhere.

    • @alanshmahlen21
      @alanshmahlen21 Год назад

      @@getitdonehomerepair I am close to getting a portable x-ray machine to see what the heck is going on. I put super thin nails into the wall at every point where the existing boards have nails, and there are no studs. The only place it might be nailed into studs are the back 2 corners, because the fronts of the boards don't extend all the way to the opening where another frame would be.
