    • @BucketListTravellers
      @BucketListTravellers  3 года назад

      Thanks! Central America is awesome and 2-3 months is a good length of time to tour through them all. Great question! We are biased now that we have lived here for the last 10 months, but if you balance out the costs, the variety of food, things to see and do and the ease of travelling across the country then we would still probably rate Nicaragua no1!

      Yes, we did that just a couple of weeks ago! It was a steep hike but the view from the top made it all worth it! Certainly one of our highlights so far in Nicaragua. The landscape is amazing, with Masaya volcano, the isletas, city of Granada and Laguna de Apoyo. We'll be putting together a video about it in the next month or so.

    • @BucketListTravellers

      Hi Wimal, it is possible to get permanent residency in Nicaragua and there are different requirements to meet, e.g. invest money in Nicaragua. As for Australia, we can't get in right now, so I don't think the chances of moving there are high for non citizens!

    So many people say don’t drink the tap

    • @BucketListTravellers
      @BucketListTravellers  3 года назад +1

      When we were in Leon at the beginning of our time in Nicaragua the hostel we were staying in didn't provide those big bottles of water and they told us it was fine to drink the tap water. We googled it and read that in most cities the tap water is treated, so we cautious tried the tap water. We've now been drinking the tap water for 10 months and we've been fine. From what we've observed expats generally drink bottled water just to be on the safe side.
