Since Mark's offer was the closest to what they originally asked for, of course they would accept his deal that did go through. As of May 2022 when this show aired, in the US there were 36 store locations, six food trucks, and several concession locations.
To date they have 48 stores in the US, over 1000 in Indonesia and have expanded into other countries as well including 1 in Australia - YAY! since we are usually last for products and such compared to the rest of the world (Scrub Daddy were only available in shops last year unless you bought online). There must be something I'm missing because I cannot respect parents who abandoned their children in another country (unless their lives were in jeopardy, which is not the case in Korea). Valuing money over anything else strikes me as strange and kind of deranged. If the parents thought it was so much better in the US than in Korea, why wouldn't they move too? It's cruel to expect an 11-year-old to make that cultural adjustment alone. Looking at it another way, if Korea is so awful that you have to get your children out of there (and I don't think it is), why should people embrace this brand ("Koreans are FUN!")? It's either one or the other; doesn't work both ways.
