    Actually this is not brahmi, brahmi has tiny leafs like portulaca plant . but most of people termed this as brahmi because these leafs structure is like brain.This plant is also good for brain and others benefits as mentioned in video. This plant name is centella asiatica in english and in hindi it is GOTU KOLA.

      This plant has two species and both are termed as brahmi but scientifically if we see there name as Bacopa monnieri and Centella asiatica.

  • @greendeane1
    @greendeane1 Год назад +50

    There might be a language/internet problem here. Pictures show Centella asiatica (which in person is usually called gotu kola -- the internet says Brahmi.) Whereas Bacopa monnieri is often called Brahmi. Bacopa resembles small purslane and is bitter. Centella is spade shaped, and has hair on the stem. The internet mixes these two up via pictures and names. Centella and Bacopa are used for different reasons. Centella increase nitric oxide, thus lowers blood pressure, it stabilizes plaques, and reduces the reduction of choline, thus aiding memory. Bacopa, stimulates the production of new memory cells, thus improves memory function, according to research at Swineburne University. Unfortunately Asian research often confuses these two plants and their botanical names.

    Gotu Kola can cause issue for liver, it is also called Brahmi. Bacopa on the other hand might be a bit better. However, from my experience, both have slight different benefits. Gotu can help more with focus and ADHD and is calming but does not make you sleepy. Bacopa helps with memory after consuming for 3 months but can have sedative effects.

    What is shown in the visuals is not Brahmi. Itz called Gotukola or Mandukaparni. In south India we call it as Vallaarai in Tamil, Saraswathi aakulu in Telugu.
    Whereas Brahmi is altogether a different herb. Both the herbs share certain similar properties interms of improving brain functions, gotukola induces sleep and Brahmi works on the opposite way. For best results, both the herbs can be combined and consumed.

    Best time to take sunlight? & how much?

    • @theyogainstituteofficial
      @theyogainstituteofficial  Год назад

      The best time to take sunlight is generally considered to be in the early morning or late afternoon, when the sun is not at its peak intensity. This is because the sun's ultraviolet (UV)rays are most intense from 10 am to 4 pm, which can increase the risk of skin damage and skin cancer. As for how much sunlight you should take, the amount of sunlight you need depends on various factors such as the time of day, your skin type, and where you live. Generally, it is recommended to get 15-20 minutes of sun exposure on your face, arms, and hands, two to three times a week, without wearing sunscreen. This should be sufficient to produce the recommended daily amount of vitamin D, which is important for bone health.

    Mam, as I know we call Bacopa monnieri as Brahmi. This is Gotukola. Are they both call Brahmi? Could you please explain? Thanks.

      Bacopa monnieri, Brahmi, and Gotukola all refer to the same plant and its medicinal properties.

    Hi ma'am
    I'm Moonmoon
    I have white patches on my face , it's looking very bad. It's come every winter on my face.
    My skin is combination.
    Ma'am please help me....

    • @theyogainstituteofficial
      @theyogainstituteofficial  Год назад +1

      If you have combination skin, you may experience dry patches on your face during the winter months due to the dry air. Use a gentle, fragrance-free natural moisturizer to soothe and hydrate the skin, and reduce the appearance of dry patches.
      If the white patches persist or are accompanied by other symptoms, such as itching or scaling, it is recommended to see a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis.

    Mam my child is 5 month infant as winter sarted acne type pimple are growing on his face
    Same people said this is his stomch heat
    What should i do

    • @theyogainstituteofficial
      @theyogainstituteofficial  Год назад

      In an infant, the appearance of pimple-like bumps on the face is most likely infantile acne,which is common in newborns and young infants. Infantile acne typically clears up on its own within a few months to a year, but in the meantime, there are steps that can be taken
      to help manage the symptoms.
      Keep the affected area clean and dry and avoiding the use of heavy creams or lotions that could irritate the skin. It is important not to squeeze or pop the pimples, as this can lead to scarring or further infection.

      Namaste, All suggested remedies are intended for adults. It's important to exercise caution and consult with a medical professional before applying any remedies or treatments to babies and toddlers. Their bodies are more delicate and can react differently to various substances, so it's crucial to prioritise their safety and consult a professional provider for appropriate advice.
