OLD SCHOOL CANNED CREAMER/PURPLE HULL PEAS
This is a way to prepare your peas for the wintertime and future eating
RECIPE:
2lbs fresh peas
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped bacon
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Cook peas instant pot for 45 minutes
place in sterilized jars and water bath for 30 minutes
let sit for 30 days to achieve complete flavor

We started canning chicken and beef when the stores have a good sale going. I have always canned fruit and vegetables but was nervous about meat. I read and re read before canning the meat and felt very comfortable doing it. Sure helped on our grocery bill and made delicious casseroles.
