    Heartwarming to see a father and son experiencing this together. I rode many a mile with my dad on trails in the Colorado mountains. He is now passed on but a video like this brings back the good memories of me and dad on the trail. Life is short, enjoy it while we can!

    It was a fantastic series. It's great to see you and your son having an adventure. By following your adventure you gave me the idea to ask my son if he was ready to take a motorcycle course and go on an adventure with me. And he accepted. He has started his motorcycle driving course and this summer we will go camping and visit sections of the BDR. You are a very good source of inspiration. I look forward to following your next adventure. Thank you and see you soon.

    Good for you and a great end to the series. When you needed a tire, I wonder if you were near Corinth, MS. There is a well-stocked dealership there that took care of me with a tube when I was passing through. While I was there I learned that it was TAT Sam’s home dealership and they had one of his bikes in their informal bike museum that was also filled with other interesting specimens. Was fun to lay eyes on sam’s old XR600 kicker that he used to map much of the TAT. Anyway, next time you need a tire in that area, or anything else, it’s worth the detour.

    Such an inspiration! I’m new to ADV riding and had a question regarding your navigation. I noticed you are running a smartphone on your bars. Are you running a map app and importing files or something else? Not sure I want to commit to a Garmin at this point. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

    • @jrdepew

      It is a hard case waterproof android phone (Oukitel, China) used just for nav with Gaia GPS app and imported files.

    A lot of pavement on that TAT. What was the approximate breakdown/percentage of that TAT worthy of knobbies?

    • @jrdepew
      @jrdepew  2 месяца назад

      This video was on a portion of the TAT. Not exclusively as my intention was not to do nothing but the TAT. I did the entire Tat in 2019 west bound from Virginia and that is on my channel. The Tat through Arkansas is mostly mild grave forest/farm roads and probably 60% + paved.
