Hi guys from NZ. I am a long time rider (50 plus years) and adventure rider/camper who usually camps to ride versus rides to camp. In my twighlight years I have spent many an hour watching You Tube vids/vlogs about bikers & everything connected to them - from reviews to travellers videos (in fact I no longer watch anything else). And, I have never seen fit to comment on any channel except yours - today, here & now. I want to say I love your channel - which I happened across by accident a few weeks back (and they keep popping up). Unlike many others on You Tube (who are ego driven wanting to be told how good they are) you two are real people having real experiences with warts n' all vlogs around your riding, camping & cooking experiences. Dont change. As many others have said here, great entertainment. "That prick on the digger....." love it!!
Wow thank you so much! This is exactly as we want to be, No BS, just real life, good bad and ugly. Enjoy the videos bud and keep commenting to us we love to speak to subscribers here
Hi Dave, thanks We were learning our camp cooking trade preparing for our months moto camping tour, we changed kit a few times and are much better now, it’s all trial and error I guess. Thanks for joining us on the road 👍
This video is a true example how we should enjoy small things, appreciate ideas/efforts than results! ❤❤❤ Journey is more important than destination. ❤❤❤ good luck mates!
Thanks so much! Tonights video as it goes is a Motorcycle camping trip including a good cook up on our new Fire Grill, Our kit and skills have come along a good way now...
Blimey! With the unpacking, the assembling, cooking, seasoning, eating, general faffing, washing up and then packing up this 'bikers breakfast' simply wouldn't work.....there may not be enough daylight hours left following the ordeal to be able to ride the bikes any significant distance afterwards. The video did, however, make my mouth water and it was timely indeed when my wife called me for supper ; ) A good watch and a lot of fun! Thanks.
We came to the same Conclusion, We love food and it goes hand in hand with Bikers, But we reckon this is a Evening campsite activity only when we have time to kill, you just wouldnt do this when touring, too time consuming... Glad you can join us though, Is moto camping your thing or are you a premier inn kinda guy?
More moto camping but fruit, muesli bars etc. or buy a cooked breakfast. Once I tried to buy a cafe breakfast but all they could offer me was a cream tea! I did eat it but it didn't exactly set me up for the day....@@ontheroadadventure
Yeh i think this taught us its not worth the hassle cooking a breakfast on this kit, But things like a evening one pot stew would be more suitable perhaps. Or have you ever tried the Army Style Pre packed food? wonder if thats any good?
Loving the videos. Top tip. Buy the tins of all day breakfasts from supermarkets. Empty in pan warm up and you have everything in one pan including beans. 5 mins to cook. Also buy the large gas cans. To be honest you need a wind break around the stove. You shouldn't of gone through all that gas for one meal.
I will have to get one of those tins of breakfast just for Ewa to try! I’m not sure she will be impressed 😂 We have made some upgrades since this video on our Moto camping cooking kit, we are going through the beginner trial and error stage right now!
Thanks so much, we do try to have a laugh even when we are not make a success of it lol. Its all about the overall experience, and we just want to encourage others to get out on the bikes and do the same. Did you see our Moto camping virgins episode? that will give you a good laugh for sure!
Take your regular ceramic mug from home for coffee, use a windshield for the stove and buy the larger size gas canisters. Keep at it, it all takes time to learn what works best with camping.
Hi, Yes we have bought a windshield, and some metal camping mugs now, we bought new gas, but still feel the cooker needs more power, we might have to look at alternatives for that, it just seems a bit lacking in oooomph! We figure we can do a few more like this finding problems and correcting them before we go away for a good while moto camping
Not yet, I have been away for a couple months and only catching up now. Look forward to seeing it. If you decide to swing by to sunny north wales in the next 5 weeks, let’s hook up for a coffee as you like your coffee 😉 All the best.
Hi thanks so. much, i dont think we will be in wales that soon but who knows what will happen this year. We are hoping to organise some social stuff as the Riders group on facebook increases
Have to agree with Ewa, Rich…streaky bacon every day! What’s with the egg flipping move?…sunny side up mate! Looked delish, anyway…such fun! 🙈😂😂👍Ride safe! 🏍️🍺🇿🇦
Came across your channel on a search for Moto camp and cook out and absolutely loved this episode, it gave me such a laugh on a dull day thanks for sharing will look out for more of your adventures great team 😁😁😁
That was great entertainment, had me laughing several times. Back bacon for me unless it is for sausages in blankets. Just checked the farm shop menu and a large breakfast is £11,50 so no contest, I would have stopped there on a cold day. The video would not have been half as good if you had stopped there. Keep up the very good content videos and keep safe.
Thanks so much Mike, your right I’m sure the farm shop breakfast is awesome and of course easier but where’s the fun in that! We love that you guys have a laugh with us. We are hoping to do lots more of this type of video this year, Every comment and share grows the channel and helps us towards being able to do more and more
Thanks for the tips! We will keep ordering kit until we get this right! Streaky bacon? In a sammich?! You be putting mayo in there next instead of brown sauce…?
Amazing to see you on your little day adventure! Love how you can adapt and just change your plans without getting upset! Was the food as tasty as it looked like?
I think it helps that we never try to plan every detail, we have learnt to go with the flow even when things dont go so well, Grub was worth while in the end.... Do you do any moto camping?
Fat equals flavour nice bit of crispy streaky. When the wind got round I caught a waft of that, smelled divine. Always taste better outdoors especially using quality farmhouse grub. Thanks for taking me along love the banter.
We like to think the posh Farmshop grub is worth paying extra for, and also it makes for somewhere else to ride to and visit along the way.... Not sure about the Streaky bacon choice, Youll be telling me you put cream on it aswell next....?
You need a Trangia (27 for 2 or 25 for bigger meals) and they are brilliant in any condition. They are self contained, chimney high wind protection, gas or spirit burner and pack down just like a matryoshka doll. Safe to use and have been my only option touring europe, even has a winter, snow setting for when you take another 'birthday trip' glamping in Cornwall! (sorry) - where was your outdoor kitchen?
Your video should come with a rumbly tummy warning.. im watching it 1st thing on a Saturday morning and feeling very hungry... ARGH... cheers for another very funny video... your interaction is bloody great
Great attempt guys, you not far away,if you insist to cook without the greatest cook system “TRANGIA” you will have to have a wind shield, which is why your pan wasn’t getting hot enough to cook, also to keep your pan from wobbling, turn it over and give a light smack in the middle with a small hammer.bigger gas canister & a small spare. Oex for boiling water is great, well done guys, camping soon EWA, all the best 👏🏴✊KTF.
This maywell be a case of buy cheap buy twice! We can’t be sure about the stove until we try it again with a fresh gas canister. Is there a preferred brand or it’s all the same?
@@ontheroadadventure go to trago gat the Coleman 6 pack c500 offer, works out abut £4 per can,as I said give the pan a smack on the bottom side that will sort the wobbling out, there is another gas called EXTREME GAS. That’s for low temperature cooking, but you not climbing Everest are u. Best tip I can offer is buy a TRANGIA honestly I don’t work for them but they simply the best cook system out there. All the best guys 👏🏴✊KTF.
@@ontheroadadventure yes turn pan over give it a bit of a tap right in the centre, the idea is to stop the pan lying on the gas ring at the centre of the pan ,so if you concave the pan from the bottom it will then lie on the outer edges of the pan when on the gas ring sounds mad but when you do it will become obvious
Brilliant fun... well for me watching anyway. When I'm touring I never cook at lunchtime, it's always a meal deal or sandwich from a local shop. Cooking happens in the evening and I am a one pot kinda guy.
@@ontheroadadventure I'm not really a cook but I use sealed packs of microwave rice. All the supermarkets do them and they come in all sorts of flavours. They can easily be heated in a pot with a little water. I then throw in something like tuna, or sliced smoked sausage. None of this needs to be kept cold before cooking, so I can carry a weeks worth. I am going to have an experiment with the rice / grains packs that you can get from Lidl, some of them look interesting. Throw in some spam or chopped pork or similar. Fine dining they ain't and some of my experiments have been edible.... just (top tip; don't use sardines instead of tuna.... just... don't). There must be books of camping cooking.... but I just keep it as simple as possible. A couple of mates have tried the freeze dried meals, apparently they are very good... but they are expensive and I'm a cheapskate.
@@neilmackinnon3371 You can get packets of curry sauce to go in the rice too, we were talking about these today when making our dinner, these packet rice and sauce is ideal for simple one pot meals camping
@@ontheroadadventure You can get very creative if you spend some time just wandering around local supermarkets picking up ideas. The major thing for me is that I must be able to carry everything in my panniers, so big tins and especially glass jars of sauce are a no no, too big, too heavy.
Camping is a strange thing, you don`t like it the first time, but it is something there! So you do it again, then it is a little better. It keep`s getting better every time you do it. Making food like you did to day, takes a little time to learn, what to make first, what you prepare first and what you need. Can your stove take other fuel then gas? Try liquid fuel if it can take it, lasts longer. Love the vids! Keep up the great work!
Back bacon... We tend not to cook on day trips for the reasons you discovered... We normally take a flask of hot water and coffee sachets.... A couple of times we have used bbq disposable things.. Tbf really good.. Great video guys.. Really enjoy watching..
We did enjoy our little day - the thing about it is that we were not particarly trying to be practical or sensible, we didnt mind it taking the whole day as we were riding about and visiting the farm shop etc, But we wouldnt do this whilst touring. Glad your on my side for The Bacon! Has to be Back bacon, Cooked crispy..... HP Sauce?
Loving your videos guys. Met you both at the Bikers Campsite in Wales last summer (husband and wife both on BMW adventure bikes). If you fancy coming to the North East of England for a break on the bikes, we have a great guest room with its own bathroom. Lots of great riding routes accessible from our base. Keep up the good work xx
Hi! Yes we remember you. Are you on the facebook group? Search for On the road Adventure Riders group. Then you can send us a private message so we can keep in touch. We do plan to organise some social events and meet our Subscribers this year on our travels so we may just take you up on your offer...
That breakfast looks lovely, definitely back bacon for me mate, as Eva had her bike lowered? I'm looking for something similar to the africa twin but they are just to tall for me, I'm 5'8 and a 30" inside seam and tbh when I've sat on a africa twin I'm right on my tiptoes so just wondering if it's been lowered, good video mate.
Cheers bud, Back bacon or Streaky? Neither of our bikes are lowered bud, Make sure you dont get the Adventure sports version and youll be fine, You are taller than me and i can ride mine with the seat in high position. For Extra Stability make sure you always stop with only your left foot down, Right foot on the rear brake, youll be just fine
Great vid. Get rid of that pan and invest in some jetboil gear. All it needs is a wipe with kitchen roll no matter wot we've cooked in it. It's not cheap but worth it. 👍 Oh definitely with you on the bacon tho 😜
Yep your spot on there, far to time consuming for in the day when touring but could be a nice way to kill the evenings at the camp site. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
Most excellent. You didn't tell Ewa that the top box doubles as a washing up sink.. On a hot day an evening barbue is one thing, or a lazy brekkie if you have a day off the bike. 10 out of 10 for effort and enthusiasm, but costa and pubs were invented for a reason. A great watch. Back bacon 👍 Ride safe and happy travels 👍
lol I will show her the new washing up sink, she will love that 🤣. Funny isn’t it, a bbq is the same thing, more trouble than it’s worth yet oddly enjoyable…. Maybe it’s the ikea effect… when we make something ourselves we somehow attribute more value to it?
Greasy spoon café for me, with proper back bacon 👍I think you would have found it easier with a wind guard as the cold breeze was probably taking the heat away from the stove? Great video, proper made me laugh 🤣
We love that people are at home laughing along with us! Having fun is what this is all about. Yeah, now people have said it the stove shield seems obvious… we live and learn
Eva is definitely correct on the bacon front. A wind break would definitely help the cooking, but sadly camping cooking is a right faff generally. However maybe buy all the food the night before so when you stop everything is in place.
Nooo Streaky bacon for breakfast is just wrong! What sauce you putting with that?! We will get a wind deflector next, seems the rule with camping is you never have enough kit! But it does provide something entertaining to do together
Sorry ewa I’m afraid rich is right on the bacon. You can get away with streaky in a burger but it’s not for breakfast. Makes me chuckle watching your camping/cooking vids. Try a bigger canister and also look at getting a ridge monkey xl. Keep up the good work 😃
Mates, beside getting a larger gas tank, I think is much better to cover the pan so the food will cook quicker and better. Since the time you needed to cook your meal, it would be a good idea to arrive at a camp site around 10:00 am to have the meal ready for lunch. 😎
I never refuse any kind of bacon! When you are camping baking foil is your friend. Use it to line the frying pan so you do not need to wash it, and place foil over the frying pan to keep the heat in the pan. Cook your sausage and bacon first, then when the egg is coocked just put the bacon and sausage back into the pan to heat up, then you have a hot meal.
The Foil thing is probably the Simplest bit of advice given yet and likley the best! Seems obvious now you said it! Cheers bud. Do you do much moto camping?
@@ontheroadadventure I have been moto camping for over 50 years. It gives you more freedom. I did the nc500 last September and did not book anything so you can ride the distance that suits you, and not stop too early or too late. If you do not find a campsite when you are ready to stop just find a wild camp and rough it for a night.
We have done this so far with no plan using BnBs and hotels but it gets really costly after a few weeks, hence this year trying the camping. We like the go with the flow approach, we dont like to be tied down by locations and time restraints.
you got two different hams there, the Bacon, (Is Bacon) the other is ham off of a leg (we eat that ham, glazed with maple & cloves as a topping ( During holidays)
Ewa spend some time in the states some years ago and this is exactly why she likes this meat, she says its served as a sweet. Now that is something i need to try!
I'm sitting here crying my eyes out laughing, Murphy's Law...what can go wrong will. What a happy brilliant couple. I can't wait for more of your adventures! One question, in the former colonies the question in Georgia is, if you don't like grits why did you come to breakfast? In that same vein.....I agree with the bangers, but no beans? Seems like an uncivilized English breakfast to me! Hahahaha, cheers!
Haha Glad you enjoyed our video, Sounds like you have allot to get through on the channel now, almost all our camping ones will have you laughing at our misfortune in sure! Beans will be on the next bikers breakfast menu, we clearly need practice before we go touring next and need to fend for ourselves camping 🥓
Nice breakfast! Top tip…if you want to make your pan non stick put a sheet of greaseproof paper in the pan, with a drop of oil to hold it in place. As a bonus you also get a clean pan! Looking forward to your next cookery demo 🙂
@@ontheroadadventure it’s got to be that other biker staple, a burger! Homemade of course (15% fat mince is best). I don’t want to increase the cooking equipment spend but you could get one of those mini camping bbqs 😀🍔
When using gas cannisters for cooking etc, the longer it's on the colder the gas gets until there isn't enough pressure to keep the flame going. Moisture and even frost will form on the outside of the can. Once the can warms up you will be good to go again. Small cannisters are worse for this happening. You also need a wind shield to protect the flame and to stop the heat being blown away. Don't throw your gas can away because you can buy an adapter that lets you fill a cannister with all the gas from your part used ones. Those tiny cans are really meant just for light hikers to boil water not really for cooking with. I use a bigger one like the Coleman C500 if I'm on a campsite or at a festival. When hiking by myself I use a 100 or a 250 when I'm not a lone wanderer. Now I'm famished lol
Definitely a shield for the wind guys, nice and very entertaining video 😂😂😂as usual. Not a big fan of camping but it was really funny to see you go through all that process. For the bacon I’m with you Rich💪.
Thanks, it’s almost like the fact the whole camping thing is so pointless and more trouble than it’s worth somehow becomes the appeal… To be fair No matter what me and Ewa are doing, when we are together we are always laughing and having fun and we just love that people are at home having a chuckle with us
Love it guys 😊 a biking brunch is the best way, a jet boil has been life changing for trips, all the tea and coffee! I’m sorry, Ewa wins, all the crispy streaky bacon 🥓 maple syrup, sausage, poached eggs and pancakes 🥞 😂😂 And you are definitely a lady after my own heart, sea to summit stuff is class, I have far far to many boxes of camping things, certain things for the T5, some for the tent and any excuse for more compact stuff for Moto camping/cooking 😉
@@ontheroadadventure Ha ha it’s amazing!! We have the minimo, and use that with the coffee press, on the attachments we have the folding frying pan, and the gas on that definitely cooks well. You need a thinner pan, cook using the sea to summit collapsing one, that does steaks and sausages really quick. And get the collapsing cups with the heat fins, much better for hot drinks 😉
@@JennieAshdown This is the sea to summit pan we were using, I think the shield will help allot, also this pan needs a lid to help keep the heat in. We couldn’t believe how these cups seemed to have sucked the heat from our brew! Bloody lost of stuff to buy seems endless 🤣
@@ontheroadadventure First go 🫣 I bourght tent, saddelbags and all the stuff last year, and a Yamaha tenere 700. But i dident go. So,this year i have to. I first thourght off scrapping the plan, but your ”amature” videos inspired me to try. Im 62 and there is a first for everything 🤣🤣
Honestly we have tried only a few times and it hasn’t always gone well as you’ll see on the channel but it has always been a laugh and in the end that’s what matters…. It seems there is lots of learning to do and lots of buying kit you never knew you needed!
Made me laugh when you said in the other countries that dont make sandwiches they just put every thing on top of bread, We call that pizza here hahaha I cannot believe its two weeks sinse Eva dropped the bike. I meant to leave a comment on that video for safety. If you going Solo or Bikepacking etc alwasy take abike you can actualy lift on your own. My grandad taught me this when I was 17 and I did not listen. 5 years later I hit a pot hole in some flooded road and was totally stuck with the big heavy bike with all the camping gear on. I almost had to leave the bike there, But got help from an Eddie Stow Bart truck driver. Its worth getting a strong but light weight bike with plenty of torque for solo rides and save the bigger bikes for when you ride together. One last tip get a wind shield for your gas burner lol Good video!
haha Thanks, Rich always moans if its not between two slices of bread! He is the strange one in poland! Theres always a man to help a Princess in Distress lol But your not wrong, if we could have multiple bikes we would have a old small bike each alongside the twins. Is there a proper device for the stove then for the wind? we are very new to the moto camping as you can tell
Yes I think your right… But we will get better! Our kit and knowledge is improving all the time but most importantly we are having fun with it…. Now, more importantly…. back bacon or streaky bacon? 🥓
@@ontheroadadventure I don't understand the question. Is there any other bacon other than back bacon? It's got to be dry cured or it's full of water, and preferably smoked.
Great video guys, tbh I enjoy a lot of your escapades. Ewa my wife is from eastern europe as well, pls advice me, how do I convince her to start biking with me?
Have you taken your ewa on the back? After taking ewa on the back of mine a few times she was hooked and began looking at doing her own test! She passed a direct access first time and 4 weeks later rode with me from Devon to Stelvio and back!
Not a bad effort for your first "camping" fry-up! Ewa, you did the eggs better than I can. You need a windscreen for the gas stove and a bigger canister of extreme or winter grade gas. The 100g is great for the OEX stove though. A very entertaining video, even though you weren't camping!
Thanks Nik, we do have such a laugh together and we love so much that you’re laughing with us at home. We would love to make content like this all day every day
when my crew goes camping, normally 4 of use. (2 will go get set up in our spot, and start the fire), the other two would hit the local store and buy the food for the night. (If it's a KOA campground (Kamping of America) I'll go set up the site, (Remember I tow a trailer) So, I'll start setting up 2 tents and start the fire on the grill. so when the others show up, they do the cooking for the night.
It just sounds so ideallic in the states, we watch so many youtube videos over there and it seems you have so many more wide open spaces to ride and camp out. Are animals a problem where you camp?
@@ontheroadadventure In 1987 I hit a deer, In lake Placid NY, In 2016 I had a deer jump over the front fender of my 2012 Honda Goldwing ( Maybe it's all about Goldwings)?
What a brilliant idea! Me and the Mrs are off to do the same tomorrow morning now 😆. ps Back bacon for a full english or baps, streaky for bacon and pancakes with maple syrup (other opinions are available!)
@@ontheroadadventure we live in Norfolk, so we'll find somewhere close by I'm sure. I'll try to video it and see how we get on but I'll make sure I credit you guys with the idea 😇. I was dead against syrup and bacon until I tried it, and it's great with Scotch pancakes 😋
@@ontheroadadventure I did film our little attempt at a cookout and have just uploaded it to my channel. Hope you don’t mind me copying your idea, but I have credited you for it 😁
The good thing with that video is that you understand that all good things take time to master…. Always nice experiences to go through first …. But with love and patience everything is possible! Once we tried to make cheese raclette in dubais desert cold…. Same, the machine would not hit up….😅😅😅
You are so right, this is why we wanted to test our our kit a few times before we set off on our month Moto camping tour around Portugal and Spain, You can see how things improved massively here: ruclips.net/video/KZp1B3Nr2-o/видео.htmlsi=GlpNeRoiHYM4GCXw
You need to watch "two wheel trips" the Gordie lads will teach you how to cook camping style, they make better food than some gastro pubs. Great vlog as usual made me & Carolyn laugh. Ewa knows how to push your buttons lol 😂😂
Oh yes, she spends most the day teasing me lol We do have some fun though, glad you guys can laugh along with us. Il look up that channel and see what we can learn 👍
The farmers stall. Liked the idea that you can buy fresh milk there. Now days the shop milk is more watery than anything else. Now fresh farm milk that is something that i personally miss... Thanks for showing the animals ass well. Looked like there is a place that visitors could have sit and eat.. Would have been nice if you could have shown the butchery as well just to get a general idea what it is liked. The sea summit kit looks pretty decant, specially holding place of all the items. The gas finish quickly a specially for cooking that morning breakfast, could it be cause of the wind factor. Did you find away for cooking with gas to at least cook 4 to 5 meals on it or is there another way. Specially in cases where you sit by a bench and table and want to cook something to eat and drink. With the cups that you use does it effect the taste of the coffee. Meaning mostly if you drink coffee out of a plastic cup it taste different than an glass or tin cup. Looks like the pan that you use here mostly like to make food stick to it. Did you find something more easy to use without the sticky part. The place that you cooked you breakfast gives that feeling of relaxing...

@ontheroadadventure sounds weird, I've had bacon and maple syrup, that ain't bad but cream as well 🤢 let's stick to the good old bacon and sausage butties 👍👍
Wow! Maple syrup and whipped cream on bacon? Never had and I live in the US and syrup is for pancakes and whipped cream is for pies. I need to know what US state that you had that in? I know that we have maple bacon but I haven't seen that since I was a kid 40 years ago and wouldn't ever buy it.
Thanks so much bud, We love to laugh our way through life, Even when its falling apart lol Moto Camping always looks so much more appealing when other people do it...
@@ontheroadadventure It always looks easy when other people do it. But you only need more experience by practising. Try some more and make a vid about it.
@@ontheroadadventure Don't get me wrong, I really admire your courage. It is very hard to cook outdoors in the winter. The next level is in the snow. LOL Just keep it simple, like a piece of cartboard can be a lit for the pan. Or a wind buffer. You are doing very well guys. Respect for you.
We won’t be beaten by the weather, you only get 3 months in the uk if waiting for the sunshine! Every time we do this we learn something new so we are progressing at least…
I need to invite you camping with a bike club. We have one in a couple of months not far from your route. No frying pan required. Plenty of beer on tap and a pub crawl by bus on the Saturday. Perfect. 🎉
How can you make that look so hard 😅 We take our small non stick frying pan from the kitchen. Little bit of oil wipe out with a piece of kitchen roll no washing or scrubbing 😊
We are going get the oex, we've seen you use it. Think your stove is bigger than than the little one we use. We don't eat pre packed camping food no pot noodles or stuff like that 🤮 we've made curry and rice 😅 chopped up and fried breast of chicken added jar of curry sauce on one stove, cooked boil in the bag rice on the other stove. Stir fried veg, and steak is another favourite. Lots of things you can cook. Secret is to be patient while it cooks 😊
You wouldnt be driving that round Devon bud, we have double decker buses that go into the wrong village and get stuck all the time, you lorry would barely get off our motorways
Thought the grub looked good. Proper back bacon for me though, none of that streaky rubbish. Great video and great effort. I wouldn't have the patience to be honest. Prefer a greasy spoon type cafe for a fry up personally.
The key difference between propane and butane is their boiling point. Propane can handle much lower temperatures, which is why it’s used in homes with outdoor storage. Butane, on the other hand, is better stored indoors git this from as it doesn’t function as effectively in colder climates. Got this from calor site not sure if the gas you were using comes in propane and butane cheers
Once again, Rich's man logic made me laugh: "Anything with the word Camping in it is automatically gonna be more trouble than it's worth!" Back bacon and Cumberland pork sausages - two of the best things money can buy in England! Cheers
Ditch the gas stove. Get yourself a decent Coleman unleaded gasoline stove and the cold/raw food problems are over. Just have to make yourself a small gasoline tap on one of your bikes fuel lines and you'll never look back.
A fantastic video as always you two crack me all the time just got back from the pub just what I needed 👌👍

That would be the way to go to minimise the faff.....@@ontheroadadventure
We love a Jacket Potato but that means we need to learn to make a fire, last time we just made smoke 🤣
bacon egg and cheese???
try a windbreak, brilliant vid btw, you two make me smile a lot !
Cheese goes with everything! Our moto camping skills are escalating… did you see tonight’s video of the Fire maple grill?
Loving the videos. Top tip. Buy the tins of all day breakfasts from supermarkets. Empty in pan warm up and you have everything in one pan including beans. 5 mins to cook. Also buy the large gas cans. To be honest you need a wind break around the stove. You shouldn't of gone through all that gas for one meal.
I will have to get one of those tins of breakfast just for Ewa to try! I’m not sure she will be impressed 😂 We have made some upgrades since this video on our Moto camping cooking kit, we are going through the beginner trial and error stage right now!
You two are brilliant are brilliant entertainment. Thanks for sharing your experience. Safe riding 🏍️
Thanks so much, we do try to have a laugh even when we are not make a success of it lol. Its all about the overall experience, and we just want to encourage others to get out on the bikes and do the same. Did you see our Moto camping virgins episode? that will give you a good laugh for sure!
I like how man handles the stove and lady handle the sausages!! By the way, streaky bacon not as good as other. Man wins that one.
Cheers Dazza, another win for PROPER Bacon!!
If you decide to swing by to sunny north wales in the next 5 weeks, let’s hook up for a coffee as you like your coffee 😉
All the best.
Streaky bacon and runny egg?! That is not beard friendly food!
🤣🤣Time to go camping Rich is going to enjoy it 😉
I am determined to make Rich enjoy it! The key to a man’s happiness is good food so need to practice the Moto camping Breakfast some more 👍
Came across your channel on a search for Moto camp and cook out and absolutely loved this episode, it gave me such a laugh on a dull day thanks for sharing will look out for more of your adventures great team 😁😁😁
Awesome thanks for joining us, I think we will have a few videos you’ll like along these lines 👍
We are hoping to do lots more of this type of video this year, Every comment and share grows the channel and helps us towards being able to do more and more
Great video ... back bacon is by far the best
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it. Looks like Back bacon is going to be the clear winner…. But I already knew that lol
So funny, more of these please
We promise you lots more this year!
Great video. Wind screen, turn gas can upside down with hose at the bottom to get all the fuel out. American bacon for the win😉
Thanks for the tips! We will keep ordering kit until we get this right! Streaky bacon? In a sammich?! You be putting mayo in there next instead of brown sauce…?
I’m with Ewa on the bacon 🥓 !
Surely not…. Syrup and cream aswell?
My wife hates me watching motovlogs.
Loves you guys.
Probably been said, but wind was the cooling factor.
Keep on being honest. We love it!
Thanks so much, your going to enjoy our next tour in the coming days 👍
Steady on, I'll save that for the rice pud.@@ontheroadadventure
@@whrog442 Now there’s an idea! Could heat that up in the stove…
Great fun guys 😂you need a wind shield for your cooker
Glad you enjoyed it, Wind shield on its way to us as we speak 👍
You guys are hilarious. Really enjoyed this episode.
Thanks so much, we love the idea that people are sat at home laughing with us and at our videos
We did see this at go outdoors but the set is massive, no good for us
I tried the Trangia once but it sooted to much. Got back to my Coleman gasoline stove after that.
Your video should come with a rumbly tummy warning.. im watching it 1st thing on a Saturday morning and feeling very hungry... ARGH... cheers for another very funny video... your interaction is bloody great
Well it is a Saturday… Sounds like you need to ride to your finest local shop and get some thick back bacon and fresh crusty rolls and live the dream!
Thanks, can I get the gas on Amazon? You think hit the pan from the underside?
@@ontheroadadventure yes turn pan over give it a bit of a tap right in the centre, the idea is to stop the pan lying on the gas ring at the centre of the pan ,so if you concave the pan from the bottom it will then lie on the outer edges of the pan when on the gas ring sounds mad but when you do it will become obvious
@@neilwilliams9844 Yeah I think I’m with you, makes sense… although Ewa might need some convincing when I try and take a hammer to her new pans 😂
Brilliant fun... well for me watching anyway. When I'm touring I never cook at lunchtime, it's always a meal deal or sandwich from a local shop. Cooking happens in the evening and I am a one pot kinda guy.
Yeah we have to agree, this is too time consuming to do in the middle of the day… what’s your favourite one pot options then? We need inspiration…
Yeah this all comes down to experience and sometimes learning the hard way…
Awesome and very funny video, thanks for sharing. I'm glad you two survived the Russian jets 🤣
Thanks bud, a close call that one 😆
Camping is a strange thing, you don`t like it the first time, but it is something there! So you do it again, then it is a little better. It keep`s getting better every time you do it. Making food like you did to day, takes a little time to learn, what to make first, what you prepare first and what you need. Can your stove take other fuel then gas? Try liquid fuel if it can take it, lasts longer. Love the vids! Keep up the great work!
You are so right, it’s like we love to hate it! Still addictive and almost fun in its weird way… No idea about fuels to use 🤷♂️
smashing vid both
Thanks so much bud…. streaky or back bacon? 🥓
Brilliant video lads 👍
Thanks for joining us for a laugh and bikers breakfast
What a fun afternoon! Eva the culinary Diva! Oh and streaky all the way Rich you weirdo 😂😂😂
Streaky in a bacon sammich is just wrong! I mean how many slices would you need??

Back bacon... We tend not to cook on day trips for the reasons you discovered... We normally take a flask of hot water and coffee sachets.... A couple of times we have used bbq disposable things.. Tbf really good.. Great video guys.. Really enjoy watching..

Hi great idea for a day out
Dont like to take sides but back bacon for me but start earlier maybe but i do like camping sorry Rich
HP Sauce?
Yep HP of cause. Just to add guys I use camping gaz CV300 plus 240g get min from Halfords ride safe guys

We have the OEX Jet boil copy thing and its amazing for boiling water. Do they make a cooking stove top or something then?

Yep your spot on there, far to time consuming for in the day when touring but could be a nice way to kill the evenings at the camp site. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
Most excellent.
You didn't tell Ewa that the top box doubles as a washing up sink..
On a hot day an evening barbue is one thing, or a lazy brekkie if you have a day off the bike.
10 out of 10 for effort and enthusiasm, but costa and pubs were invented for a reason.
A great watch.
Back bacon 👍
Ride safe and happy travels 👍
lol I will show her the new washing up sink, she will love that 🤣. Funny isn’t it, a bbq is the same thing, more trouble than it’s worth yet oddly enjoyable…. Maybe it’s the ikea effect… when we make something ourselves we somehow attribute more value to it?
@@ontheroadadventure pack the marigolds.
Paper plates might be a good idea when touring too
Greasy spoon café for me, with proper back bacon 👍I think you would have found it easier with a wind guard as the cold breeze was probably taking the heat away from the stove?
Has to be HP
@@norriemasson4080 Yep, unbeatable 👍
Sorry ewa I’m afraid rich is right on the bacon. You can get away with streaky in a burger but it’s not for breakfast. Makes me chuckle watching your camping/cooking vids. Try a bigger canister and also look at getting a ridge monkey xl. Keep up the good work 😃
Gotta be proper crispy back bacon! Il look that thing up, no idea what it is! Glad you enjoy the videos and have a laugh with us
Mates, beside getting a larger gas tank, I think is much better to cover the pan so the food will cook quicker and better. Since the time you needed to cook your meal, it would be a good idea to arrive at a camp site around 10:00 am to have the meal ready for lunch. 😎
Yes we definitely are missing a pan with a lid… Tin foil would do but a pan upgrade is what’s needed here 👍
You certainly like your food, lovely 😂
Oh Yes its all about food and motorbikes for us!
Great vid guys, definitely need a lid and sorry Eva British bacon all the way..😂
A lid and a wind shield it seems we are missing! Ewa is losing the great bacon debate!
😮streaky bacon every time, yummy.
In a sammich?! Surely not?!! I assume you still have the correct sauce... Brown?
Now that is a top tip for moto camping cookery! Ewa will love that one! What should we make next time?
@@ontheroadadventure it’s got to be that other biker staple, a burger! Homemade of course (15% fat mince is best). I don’t want to increase the cooking equipment spend but you could get one of those mini camping bbqs 😀🍔

Man’s got to make a liv’n guys.
Lov’n the content guys keep em coming.
Thanks so much, yeah the work life balance is always tricky, our thoughts are to graft while the weather is pants
We are using the Coleman 500 on our current tour and have been very impressed how long a can lasts!
@@ontheroadadventure Great stuff. Hopefully your sausages now won't be leaving you faster than you ate them lol.

@@ontheroadadventure
Ha ha it’s amazing!!

I almost had to leave the bike there, But got help from an Eddie Stow Bart truck driver. Its worth getting a strong but light weight bike with plenty of torque for solo rides and save the bigger bikes for when you ride together. One last tip get a wind shield for your gas burner lol Good video!

Theres always a man to help a Princess in Distress lol But your not wrong, if we could have multiple bikes we would have a old small bike each alongside the twins. I think James Martin and Mary Berry are safe for a little while longer.

Not a bad effort for your first "camping" fry-up! Ewa, you did the eggs better than I can. You need a windscreen for the gas stove and a bigger canister of extreme or winter grade gas. The 100g is great for the OEX stove though. A very entertaining video, even though you weren't camping!

Great laugh, not so great cooking maybe. For cooking ideas take a look at Motorcycle Travel channel on YT…..he cooks up some brilliant but simple stuff. Thanks for your infectious laughter 😂😂
Thanks we will check it out. Glad we can share a laugh with everyone, that’s what it’s all about
Aww, you two, I laughed at this enough meat for a family and only a match to cook it on, at least your optimistic, well most entertaining, seriously great to see your both good, missed this vid when it hit the big screens, hope to see more soon, but stick to cafe on day out rides, not as entertaining but you will get farther, take care guys love ya both, cray couple Ted NW guy

@@tedcase9175 Our pleasure bud 👍
We come upon your channel by accident 😂 omg you two are a riot lol 😂😂😂
Awesome glad you enjoy our humour!
Great to see you both back, moto breakfast absolutely brilliant. Yummy, how much bacon and them sausages are huge 😂
Cracked me up you lighting the burner 😂 great video both 👍👍
Oh yes we like Good Grub and Big Bangers! We maywell have to do this again.... What you think of the Americans idea of bacon and cream and syrup?
@ontheroadadventure yeah don't mind the bacon and maple syrup but why cream. Has to be crispy bacon 🥓
Ive no idea, first i heard of it, We have to ask Ewa!
@ontheroadadventure sounds weird, I've had bacon and maple syrup, that ain't bad but cream as well 🤢 let's stick to the good old bacon and sausage butties 👍👍
@@nigelsride It’s like I know your right, but if it exists I have to try it, just to see… watch this space 👍
Sounds like you need to whip some up today! Give it a go 🤤
Hi Guys! Loving the channel. Keep up the good work! Oh and your bang on about the bacon Rich, think about your arteries Eva!!:)
Thanks for joining us! Back bacon all the way! A clear winner 🥇
Always fun with you guys haha
Thanks so much bud, We love to laugh our way through life, Even when its falling apart lol Moto Camping always looks so much more appealing when other people do it...
@@ontheroadadventure It always looks easy when other people do it. But you only need more experience by practising. Try some more and make a vid about it.
We are hoping you are right! We need to watch and learn from others
@@ontheroadadventure Don't get me wrong, I really admire your courage. It is very hard to cook outdoors in the winter. The next level is in the snow. LOL
Just keep it simple, like a piece of cartboard can be a lit for the pan.
Perfect. 🎉
Very kind but I’m afraid neither of us drink, but who knows maybe we will join you for a ride out one day 👍
The problems you had coocking in the wind is that you don't have a wind braker to protect the flames .Get one and try the difference .
Thanks, We will fix this for next time 👍
Very funny . The amount of cheese in that sarny 😂😂.
Thanks for joining us, glad you can have a laugh with us 👍
Cold gas isnt very good at burning. Try a propane mix.
Does that come in the same type of screw top canister?
How can you make that look so hard 😅 We take our small non stick frying pan from the kitchen. Little bit of oil wipe out with a piece of kitchen roll no washing or scrubbing 😊
lol For some reason, we are very skilled at making moto camping hard work!! Often the simple solution is the best! What stove do you use?
We just use the camingaz micro Bluet type. think argos do them. We take two with us. Can boil water fir coffee and cook at tge same time etc
We have a OEX Jetboil copy for our drinks, that thing is amazing! Boils water so quickly. Have you tried the Pre packed camping food?
We are going get the oex, we've seen you use it. Think your stove is bigger than than the little one we use. We don't eat pre packed camping food no pot noodles or stuff like that 🤮 we've made curry and rice 😅 chopped up and fried breast of chicken added jar of curry sauce on one stove, cooked boil in the bag rice on the other stove. Stir fried veg, and steak is another favourite. Lots of things you can cook. Secret is to be patient while it cooks 😊
Sounds like you guys are old hands at this! Were you as hopeless as us when you first started moto camping?
👍
Thanks 🙏
@@ontheroadadventure You're welcome darling
Darn, your roads are so small, I drive an 18 wheeler here in the states, I'm 82' feet long and 8.5' wide.
You wouldnt be driving that round Devon bud, we have double decker buses that go into the wrong village and get stuck all the time, you lorry would barely get off our motorways
Rich you stick to your guns mate, you are 100% correct on the bacon front
Thank you mate - Some things just have to be the mans way!
Thought the grub looked good. Proper back bacon for me though, none of that streaky rubbish. Great video and great effort. I wouldn't have the patience to be honest. Prefer a greasy spoon type cafe for a fry up personally.
For some reason we never go for the easy option lol We do have fun though
I'm thinking propane and butane depending on temperature I think
Can we buy mixed fuel in a can like that?
The key difference between propane and butane is their boiling point. Propane can handle much lower temperatures, which is why it’s used in homes with outdoor storage. Butane, on the other hand, is better stored indoors git this from as it doesn’t function as effectively in colder climates. Got this from calor site not sure if the gas you were using comes in propane and butane cheers
@@deanbettesworth6316 Thanks bud, looks like we have just found something else to learn about!
Once again, Rich's man logic made me laugh: "Anything with the word Camping in it is automatically gonna be more trouble than it's worth!"
Back bacon and Cumberland pork sausages - two of the best things money can buy in England! Cheers
Haha so far I have been right! We do love a Cumberland sausage! Glad you enjoyed the video and had a laugh with us 👍🥓🥓
Definitely back bacon!!!
Yes sir!
ANOTHER great video guys, love it! You crack me up. Sorry Ewa but that is not bacon, Rich is absolutely right
Thanks Bob, This is a battle ewa cannot win! I’m assuming your on with the HP sauce too?
Oh without a doubt 😂
@@bobpearceNC750x Good man 👍
Ditch the gas stove. Get yourself a decent Coleman unleaded gasoline stove and the cold/raw food problems are over. Just have to make yourself a small gasoline tap on one of your bikes fuel lines and you'll never look back.
Our cooking skills have improved immensely since this video luckily! We have so much cooking kit now its madness 😂 Just as addictive as the riding
Sausages not cooked ?? They looked like charcoal😆
Only on the outside by some miracle and like warm inside 🤷♂️😂
Another great vid
Rola Cola 😂
One for the dads there.... lol
Pour water on the hot Pan, Cook up and clean. Shit comes right of. Just a tip for the future😉.
Cheers we will give it a go, Moto camping cooking seems to be a whole new skill set to learn!
