Do you guys know if French is an absolute necessity? I can speak three languages fluently (English, German and Bosnian) and I know some basics in arabic. Would that suffice or would I have to learn French?

It's been a dream of mine since I was 14 to join MSF. I am now 19 years old and starting med school this fall. I've also been learning frenc. I hope to join soon and contribute my skill and endeavour as a surgeon soon :-)

I was once a red cross volunteer working with our local government unit here in my hometown when local stranded individuals of Covid19 got stuck at the port. it was a quick decision, even though I knew the risks of going in. I was inside the quarantine for 14 days and another 14 for us who worked inside the camp. it was all worth it, I still remember their names and I considered them as friends all 89 of them. cant wait to sign up for MSF when I finish studying nursing or maybe medicine :))
I'm in my first year of med school and in order to be a doctor I have to pass two competitive exams this year..

I’ve wanted to be a doctor since I was 3 years old, as I’ve gotten older I’ve realised in which areas I might want to work in. I’m still young, not even a teen yet, but I know I want to be a surgeon and volunteer with MSF, I am never going to let go of this dream and I hope to one day achieve this dream I’ve had for almost all my life.

I am 18 years old and hopefully will be starting medical school at the beginning of next year. I am determined to work with MSF, and I pray that I get the opportunity to do so. To achieve this, I will give my best to become a good doctor and serve in pediatrics.
I gave money to them while I worked for the us government. I will never be sorry. They saved my life. None of them expected that.

The toilet and air conditioning are the only two issue that held me back from applying
Up until to this point i was planning to do my masters and bulid me life. But now after watching this, i think i know what i am gonna do.
I don't think living conditions will be a problem for me cuz it's comparable to university internship in third world, our conditions are nearly comparable to these haha
But i think before joining it it's better to start doing local humanitarian activities to get used to the tough working conditions

To be honest, I don't know how to express, all these years of my life as a doctor(student life and professional life), I had always felt the void that something is missing in my life. The sole reason I took MBBS as my career(even though I was a tech guy who loved mathematics) was to explore the uncertainty, gain knowledge to the best of my abilities and reach up to those who are in need of it and who cannot afford it due to some circumstances. All these years I was in search of a way to do that in a right way. I don't know if I was ignorant, or as an Indian doctor, we were never told about MSF nor any NGO who does these work. Now when I came to know about MSF, right then, with in a heart beat, I realized, this is what I was looking for all these years. I really badly want to be a part of MSF team. Hope one day my dream will come true.

For the home is under renovation, I lived in Hotel. The room we rent make me pay eight thousands and five hundreds of Hong Kong Dollars to aunty mother lily for the Hotel.
Eight thousands and five hundreds Hong Kong Dollars equal to one thousand and sixty of USD approximately. The Lily aunty has no idea how I could pay these rental charges for her to the Hotel. She just forgets and goes on her life as nothing ever happened unusually.

I am disabled but temporarily, hopes of. I am not homeless. Almost all bills I have paid full. People in the air blame me homeless and illiterate. Even with no house owned, not a homeless be led to.

The criminal doctors used cleaner threatened me if I don't have a job yet. I am still waiting the possibility. I don't want to be house keeper. The cleaner was aggressive to me. I don't agree their suggests. These are shameful to push the client to do clean work while the clients have been degreed.
Well the salary scale for such a tough job is preety much laughable though for the doctors. 1300 Euros a month for the new doctors. Are you kiddin me ?
This is because anyone who truly wants to do this isn’t in it for the money and that’s the people MSF want. If you want money go be a Wall Street stockbroker or some other high paid job. This isn’t for you if you even have to mention the money.
