My life is on track. I know my purpose. However, forces of evil try to derail me causing me grief. I try to remain calm in each situation. The gates of hell will not prevail.
I am a recovering people pleaser and on my Bday, a few days ago, I decided that my word for this year will be: Alignment. And now, to find this video, it feels like it was meant to be 🙂
Weather allowing I walk every day. I bought a new bed because my old one was hurting me and I wasn’t sleeping properly. It’s just a twin but I’m sleeping six hours a night instead of two hours at a time. I have a lot of pain in my hands from arthritis and I love to draw people’s pets and it’s very fulfilling so I do what I can sometimes just a little bit a day, but it’s very fulfilling. I’m 77 and I think I’m ready to die but I feel like I need, in order to let go of this life I have to let go of my addictions (so far so good) and let go of my past which gives me much sadness and anger.
Life is more painful when you get off track because you are exposing yourself to things that you wouldn't normally if you weren't off track. This has been my experience, a life lesson, and wisdom acquired as a result.
@ro2929 Oh wow! Thank you so much. That’s amazing. I would love to know more about your program and how you’re integrating it. If it’s not too much trouble, can you shoot me an email? The email address is info@nickkeomahavong.net I may have some additional resources to support your students.
Long time no comment. I hope you have a wonderful day, Ajahn. Thank you for this video to start the day. As for me, I'm learning to embrace a simple and minimal life while building financial independence.
Thank you again for this video. To me - Compassion for self is the most important step where we forgive ourselves for the mistake or setback & then move on. 🙏🏼
Thank you, Venerable Nick.🙏 I'm really grateful that I found your channel about two years ago. At that time your videos helped me to get out of my really deep depression, and they are still so helpful in my life. You manage to upload your videos just when I need advice and teachings in my life. The day this video was uploaded was a terrible day for me. I was in a really bad place mentally, and it took me some time to be able to face my thoughts. So at first I couldn't finish watching this video (my mind was that disintegrated, and my fight or flight mode was fully switched on), but I knew that I was gonna come back to it later (that was today). I just wanted to say that I'm honestly thankful for your teachings, they always help me in some ways in the end. You're a blessing in this chaotic world.🙏
Oh wow! Thank you so much for sharing this. I think many people can relate to this experience. I’m glad you took some time and came back to finish it. Just take it step by step my friend 😊
thank you Ven Nick for all the wisdom in your videos. I have another vehicle analogy. one is used to driving down the highway at 75mph, you travel the same route every day and are on autopilot. you do not notice the heavy downpour and you hydroplane causing a brief loss of control. you become aware of the situation you are in and focus on the now instead of being on autopilot. May Peace Prevail
Exactly what I just did over the past week! I was so overwhelmed with various constraints of life at the moment and no help available. I made a schedule for a month that is realistic and allows me to have a little more time and focus for a key task that I would rather not do at all. I feel so much better! A friend is keeping me accountable with me improving my bedtime as a part of the plan. Taking a step back, being honest, asking hard questions and approaching it all with the reminder that my best is all that I can do and the outcome will be whatever it is as a result, is sooo relieving!
Dear Nick, when I saw your videos the first times I could relate to everything and it felt like dramatic releases. Now over 1,5 years later I find myself more confident in life. I am not so easily shaken anymore and know how to help myself better. I just noticed that and want to share how happy I am with this subtle but definite change. Thank you and the best to all of you
Your videos always make me aware to get back on track and to adjust, to refocus and to reflect. The wisdom and the personal experiences you share mean sooooooo much to me - thank you from the bottom of my heart and best regards from Germany 🙂🫶🌻
I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to learn from your teaching ❤ I just got the books you and Ven. Michael have written, to have your teaching with me and to thank you for all the things you share❤ Maybe one day I will be able to experience the 3 Days Retreat in Thailand, meanwhile I train myself and I check if you will organize some Meditation Retreat in Italy also ❤ Thank you again, your words are really helpful for a lost person ❤️
While we all have our struggles, most times because of our response to others, I am no different, but I must say that life for me is quiet, peaceful, orderly, and good. I am extremely blessed and fortunate.
To recognize it is a blessing within itself. Some don't recognize it until their death bed, if then. By the time that my now deceased father recognized it, too much damage had been done to himself and his relationship with his children. He died bedridden and an alcoholic. And I have no doubt that before his last moments he thought on all the time that he had squandered.
Thank you for sharing these steps (and all your wisdom) in such a generous and non-judgmental way. I feel encouraged and motivated after hearing you speak. Please keep making videos!
I read this self help technique about alter egos. It’s about copying someone (like your favorite character) that you admire and show up or act as they would in a challenging situation. It’s kinda like willpower from our imagination against the ingrained self sabotaging tendencies we have. I was confused at first, I thought that all egos are just sources of suffering but now I think that they won’t be as such if we could easily take them off. We could just imagine ourselves as characters and the world is our stage. We can act or be that kind of person that is capable of doing the things we want to manifest in our lives but still acknowledge that this person we’ve become is just a means to an end. What do you think sir Nick?
The car analogy is an excellent one. I use the analogy of running bath water. If you don't monitor the tub, it will eventually overflow, which we don't want.
Hi Nick. What do you recommend people do who have neurological differences in brain and nervous system to feel better in general? Like ADHD and autism. Meditation and all those tools is more difficult because trying to meditate with ADHD is hard because the mind is very active in its nature. Like it just spins and spins no matter how good or bad this moment is. I work as a cleaner and my mind spins even more and faster (or so it feels like) when Im mopping or vacuuming the floor or any other "mindful" task. Its the nature of ADHD. So cant you make a video for neurodivergents how to apply your wisdoms and teachings? Because its very hard for us to be still and find peace in stillness. Kind regards.
Imagine being in a river, which is always flowing. Your task is to swim against the current. It can be done but it's extremely difficult. The moment that you stop swimming, immediately you begin to flow with the current. This is how life is and we are all subject to it.
Thank you so much for your service to the world, please try to make a video about moving on from a person you genuinely loved but have truly hurt you, basically detaching and finding tools to let go...
As a monk as well as psychologist and therapist you raised correct points. M also psychologist and psychotherapist, follows Buddha's path. Very rightly raised all points. As rightly mentioned by you realizing that you are moved from right track is the first step. Otherwise correction is not possible. Metta to all beings. 🙏
Hi thank you so very much for all You do in making the videos for all of us to watch and learn. Please i hope you can think about it and get to know more about ADHD/ADD & Bipolar so that you can make a video foe people like us. If you Can make for focus&concentration, procrastination , organizing, Time management, how to finally know and feel what its like to actually live a human life in this Earth World. Thank you for sharing this wisdom, Nick🙏🏼🤍 This video came right on time. For me, it's clarifying my needs and priorities asking what I want for myself, creating a plan/vision for the upcoming weeks/months and taking it from there.
My cars check engine light has been on since 5 years now, tried everything it doesn’t get fixed 😅. Im pushing my car just like you mentioned. In real world the more im engaging with people in real world im realizing everyone is focusses on realizing their own gains. People reach out to me for help and when they get help they forget me as if i never existed. I need to get back to lompi klint meditation class

Is your life currently off track or out of alignment? if so, what steps are you taking to get it back on track?
My life is on track. I know my purpose. However, forces of evil try to derail me causing me grief. I try to remain calm in each situation. The gates of hell will not prevail.
I'm off track with drugs, and doing way too much of nothing. Going switch from idle to meditating, and going try to limit my vices. Sadhu 🙏

thank you Ven Nick for all the wisdom in your videos.
