February 24th, 1941.
After the rout of the Italian 10th Army by the British Western Desert Force, the German High Command dispatched General Erwin Rommel to North Africa, along with the 5th Light and 5th Panzer Divisions, ambitiously titled the Deutsches Afrikakorps, to remedy the situation.
Rommel has strict orders to limit any activities of his units to reconnaissance until he has built up sufficient strength.
Rommel was never one to sit still for very long, orders or not, and immediately sent out reconnaissance forces to make contact with the British
