Great list of early war armor, Ken! I like having a lot of infantry and support in my German armies, so I usually use the Pnzr 38T. Armor 8, hull and coax MMGs and a Lt.anti-tank gun. Not as good as a PnzrIII, but superior to a PnzrII. For the Soviets, KV2 100%. Super beast. A KV2 and 70+ inexp guys is chaotic comedy. I haven't built a British early war force yet, but if I did I think I'd go for the Matilda.
I love the Matilda II and run it with my Australian Jungle Force. I also play Italians and have a eastern front force with my favorite Italian tank the CV33. As this is a tank video I really like the L6/40 which has good armor, counts as an armored car and can do a number with the auto-20mm on infantry and crews. Love your list and am excited to see the tank hunter video.
I miss a few choices here: the KV1, the T34, the T70, the S35, the 38T, the Char IB, the 7TP and the BT7. I don’t think your choices are bad per sé, by the way. Meanest early war weapon I can think of: the SdKfz 7/1 with quadruole autocannon.
Not a BA player but I love early war. Matilda is a no brainer, good gun for the time and great armour. I would take the 38T for aesthetic rather than performance reasons - it was the backbone of the blitzkrieg. For support on the German side, Stug A/B all the way. Italians - L3/35 in either the 20mm AT or lancia flamme variants - more for the shock effect of a tankette with a sting than anything else.
It was a toss up between the 38t and the pz 4, the 38t has the looks and the pz4 the staying power. I do have a 33, with flamethrower, might have to give it a run and surprise someone...........
The problem with CV33 is that (in game terms) it's a suicide to field. It has no special "fast" rule, and he gain slow with the flamethrower (also, no solothurn option). There is no point in wasting the tank slot with him, which is actually sad. If there was an option to take like, 3 of them, in a single tank slot you could actually think about it, but with the current ruleset is not a really good option overall. For instance, the L6 (which is essentially a CV33 + an AT gun) count as an armored car, making it actually a good choice gameplay wise.
The Matilda 2 is my favourite tank too!
Quite right.

love your video. Please make more like this. I am trying to improve my game so love to get other peoples opinions and strategies.
Armoured cars next.

Nice choices, those 33's can hide anywhere!
Classing that piece of Italian junk as a medium tank is super generous.
hahaha, Ideas above its station.
Nice video Ken. Matilda is my favourite tank of WW2.
So many people love the Matilda, I wonder why?
Great list Ken, I’ve not played early war BA, but some good choices mate 👍
I might have a dabble with late war later on.
Great vid mate. Really enjoyed it.
Nice, armoured cars up next.
Great choices. My personal favorite is the M14/40.
Its overlooked by many of my opponets, until the 3 mmgs fire lol
Very enjoyable! I have no clue on tanks but I enjoyed the presentation!
Glad you enjoyed it! Check out the Tank Museum you tube channel, lots to watch.
My panzer 1 is probably my best tank haha great video!
Good choice! Its a nice little tank and the 20mm auto canon is useful.
Nice one Ken good little review
Cheers Leon.
Difficult to list a top five. Luvin your choices though. Great to see
Very difficult, maybe should have gone for top 10 lol.

Some good choices for those armies.

You forgot the glorious KV2. Early war heavy tank with a heavy howitzers.
I had omitted that one myself as it is more a moving bunker AND that it cannot fire on uneven ground and more....
I dont play Soviets, but it is such an iconic brick, er I mean tank.
This is also relative to points values , I’ve just started. Running mech infantry Germans early war 500pts. Panzer 2 lmao 🤣
Certainly is, fitting in the best one for your troop selection.
Early war Germans are very good 👍 for obvious reasons
No KV super clunckers?
I dont have a Soviet army, but I do have a KV2 to paint up!
@@TheEccentricMan I need to paint some russians, i have been trying to get my opponent to paint them unsuccessfully
Is it cheating to say Char B1-beast!
If I played the French I'd go for it too :)
