  • In need of some time to prepare the continuation of the timeline of WW2 (currently in late 1943) Martin and Svein take a leap back in time to the very first days of WW2.
The German army is ready to strike at the Polish borders. The Germans have prepared an advance force that is tasked with breakting through the Polish border defences and allowing the main body of the army to follow and encircle the Polish forces.
This game took an incredible 8 hours to film, and end up in a terrific battle report of less than 2 hours.
This was Martin's 2nd Bolt Action game, and it was tense down to the very last roll of the dice!
Played on beautiful terrain by Sammy Scenics!

The poles didn’t use the symbol in1939 or at least September- early October, it was used by the polish resistance

Good stuff, but come on Svein - there's no way that 3" template (inner ring) touched EIGHT of those guys at 1h 27m 😂

I'd love to see a battle at Arnhem. Gliders and paratrooper rules being used. Or even action at the bridge with the paras fighting off tanks.

Great camera work in this one. It was a real treat to see everything coming together so well. Looking forward to more bat reps like this one!

Yes, Martin has both skill and luck, but my thinking is he's MORE LUCKY. What a dice roller: high when high is needed, low when low is needed. I'd rather be on Martin's team. Poor Svein.

Thanks for another good video! Love how you guys try to cover all time periods and locations of the conflict.
On that note is there a possibility that the Second Sino-Japanese war will be covered in the near future?

Inspiring video... from the armies to the scenery. I want to build, paint, and take this hobby into the next level.

Great game, one of the best! Great quality with camera work too. Super close fun to watch game as well. However, you used that 3" template wrong. The 3" in the inside of the template, so you would have got less hits and the Doctor may not have been wiped. Also a 1/6th chance is a 16.66% chance.

Turn 2: HE ignores gun shield anyway (p95), no need for a houserule.
Ranging in on a target that moves restarts at a 6, not a five as stated by Svein - who rolled a 6 anyway.
Transport being removed if they are close to the enemy than their friends only happen at the end of the turn, so the truck were never in danger of being captured.

Great video, as always! But shouldn't the Germans have waited with their Ambush fire for the Polish cavalry to get within super short range? According to the rulebook (page 59) the ambush shot can interrupt the move "at any point during the move"...

How many points of Polish were used? I like the scenario and might adapt it for our club!
