Łysa Polana, September 1st 1939
In the early hours of the morning Erwin's 24th Uhlans of the Polish 10th Cavalry have been rushed to the Slovak-Polish to counter the imminent German invasion. Surrounded by woods on all sides the border checkpoint creates a natural chokepoint.
Cal's German 4. Lietche-Division has been tasked with smashing through the passage at Łysa Polana, and then pushing through the Carpathian mountains behind.
This is part one of a campagin coming to the channel.

Only seen your battle report now. Love it! Great models and I see maneuvering, tactics and proper use of cover & hitting side/rear armor is of utmost importance in early war. Also, Massive difference in regular & veteran in staying power.
Hard to believe I have 5 different varients of the Kfz 251's the regular 251/1, 251/9 stummel, 251/16 Flammpanzer, 251/21 Drilling and a 251/23 recce. But what the poles needed badly was some anti armor be it a AT rifle team or light AT gun, it needed something more than a 20mm Autocannon armed tankette.
A Bofors and an AT Rifle will (probably) feature in my next list for the campagin. Cal and I still need to figure out our campagin points so I can know if I can take both or just one.
I absolutely love these early war scenarios, unfortunately in my club everybody is just interested in f...... Normandy 😔
If you looked at the average wargame you think the war started on June 6 1944 and was only fought in the west!
@@ErwinHistory Isn't it because USA has made most of movies about ww2? They made most of them about D-Day and Market Garden because they are most important operations of USA. It had just much more representation in popular media in the world.

The shirt 👌 I keep looking at an early war Polish list but need Kromlech to work out if they are continuing the historical line.
Yeah. Im glad I have a handful of the Kromlech models. There's a lack of good Polish models, and theirs was almost perfect.
Early war scenarios and the Hypothetical German invasion of the Caribbean and American Mainland after Successful defeat of England are my favourite themes to play! (And a good way to use Afrika Korps models)
But the Invasion of Poland is iconic and really has a lot of interesting history and scenarios!

I’m starting an early German army and soon I’ll make a French army :)
Between taking the family to Vegas last week so that my son and I could play BA at LVO and then immediately having to jump into a 56 hour work week I was too exhausted to watch last night so now I've seen it fresh. A couple things, when you assaulted the 38t it doesn't matter if it had moved before or not when the TKS stunned it it's order dice should have flipped to down and your guys would have hit on 4s. Also when the German HT shot your mmg and when your rifle squad shot the officer you forgot to take small team into account for both and I'm also fairly certain that your polish squad was closer to the HT then the 38t was at the end of round 6.

yep we definently got that wrong with the 38t assualt. I just checked the rules.
didn't even think about checking my infantry! Dang and that Cost me the game too!
@Erwin History you guys sounded like you were having fun and the Polish held out against long odds. If it weren't for the fact that I'm waiting for may 40 miniatures to release their KNIL line I might have started a polish army as my minor power force because of examples like this.
Do I stay up late and watch it now or save it for tomorrow to watch at work?

There were multiple things called wz. 34. It's kinda like the US Army and M1.
I know this is off topic, but are we ever going g to see the Ukrainian partisans from the kit bash video in a game? Honestly, you could probably fit them in with a regular partisans group.
At this stage no. I do plan on building a few up though. The Ukrainians had a very, uh, interesting tank. A half destroyed T-26 welded to an STZ tractor! Which I'm keen to build.
