Console Exclusives Need to go Multi-Platform

- I'm tired of games being fully exclusive to one console. They had their place back when new competitors were entering the market and needed exclusives to capture market share, but I don't think they're necessary anymore. I'll be giving my thoughts on console exclusives and some potential solutions.

Soooo true. Unfortunate, but true.
That doesn't make any sense. People are already saying "There's no reason to buy a PS5/Xbox Series X" precisely because the games are also on PC. If there were no more exclusives, the market would just be PC and Nintendo.
I know first-party exclusives aren't going anywhere anytime soon, mostly wishful thinking wanting them to go Multi-Platform after a year or so. I think second-party exclusives just need to die outright.
Dude.. stop that.. give everyone a chance to play everything, why i need to buy a PS5 or 4 JUST to play spiderman?
That's anti-consumer.
Multi platform should be the way to go, consoles for me should be targeting different market than PC.
If you love to tinker with tech, build a PC, if you want to go cheaper with something already built for you, get a console.
Otherwise i and many other people would buy a console with it's exclusive, play and finish it then return it within the 30-days period
@mohamadsorya6718 Because them's the breaks, that's why. You have a chance to play everything. Buy the console or don't. You want to play Mario, buy the Nintendo. It's as simple as that. I don't actually own a Switch at the moment*, but I'm not going around complaining "NiNtEnDo Is AnTi CoNsUmEr" and saying they should release Mario Odyssey on my PS5 or PC. I can't play it until I get a Switch, oh well. You don't need video games to live.
It's not anti consumer, it would be worse if there was no competition. Not to mention that at least for now, consoles still have physical games. You can't get physical games on PC anymore.
It's not "anti-consumer." You just don't want to pay to enjoy a luxury hobby.
*I do not own a Switch because I decided to wait for the next iteration to release first.
@@retroreviews_That is fair enough, but at the same time, exclusives give reasons to buy consoles. That's why they were successful in the past. People bought Xbox 360s to play the Gears Series. People bought PlayStation 3's to play the Resistance series (Sony did not own Insomniac at the time). That's just how it is.

why should I pay for three different consoles just for one game of each instead of buying my PC setup to enjoy everything?
They can still have competition by releasing their own studio made games and controllers as well they don't have to release exclusives to lock people into one system.
If I want to play a Nintendo game, I emulate them, that's the best.. if I want to play a Microsoft game, my PC works.
If I want to play a PlayStation exclusive like Spider-Man or God of war, I would buy the console play the game and return it within the return window.
Now I don't have to do that anymore and I can just get the games that I'm interested in at least
Don't tell me I have a choice to get the concert or not, it's not my choice I'm being forced to buy PlayStation in order to play uncharted and being forced to buy an Xbox to play gears of war it's not freedom of choice.
I can buy any TV i want and enjoy ALL my movies.
I can buy any CPU and graphics card and play the same games (sure extra feature with each brand, but still able to do and play what i want)
