Vermie jewellery can be coverd with 10 k or 18 k and it must have at least 2 , 5 microns off gold cover so for me vermin is next best kind of jewellery to buy next to real gold jewellery
I know everyone says don't shower with your jewelry on but for me, washing all my jewelry with handwash and water, dry then storing each in a zip lock bag has kept them all tarnish free for decades.
I'm having an amethyst sterling silver gents ring plated with 23-karat gold vermeil made for me by a local jeweller, so I found this video very useful - I've subscribed too; thanks for uploading.
No, if you can afford it always go for solid gold, no risk of colour change. And requires pretty much no maintenance. But it depends what you want, if it’s for something you’ll hardly wear go vermeil if it’s going to be always on go solid gold.
10k is crap tho I had a 10k chain with heavy wear and the other metal's start to show threw after a while if it come's to gold 14k at min and I just bought vemril to try it out and so far I really like it seeing how long it will last and yes silver under it is better then any other plated jewelry to me.
Yes!! 10k is mixed with a bunch of metals and a tiny bit of gold. Vermeil is solid or sterling silver (a precious metal) with real gold plating of 2.5+ microns of gold. You are getting two precious metals not something that is subpar in my opinion.
Hi, I've seen a chain I want to buy it's 18ct gold vermeil on silver, please could you tell me if it will lose it's gold colour over time or will it always stay gold, just don't want to pay alot for something that's just going to turn silver eventually or turn my neck green lol- thanks in advance for any replys 😘
I'd advice looking up reviews of the product your wanting the quality all depends on who you buy it from, if it is good quality you shouldn't have no problems as long as you take good care of it I have some vermil chains that are a decade old and still gold due to good care nd not spraying after shave directly on them or swimming in them just make sure you check reviews nd you should be good 😀
@@lauraxgx6784 if you are from UK I recommend old English jewllers in Birmingham they have a page on ebay there stuff is great tried nd tested never turned my neck green and never faded since buying from them 😀
Exactly what I was looking for, great video.

@@justinsymonds8470 You're welcome!
Would you buy vermeil over full solid 10k ? Thanks?

I disagree about water. I have a 14k gold ring that never comes off water does nothing to it.
