What great accomplishment the tank looks great, now the fun begins with anchoring the in and fill hoses and the wiring for the sending unit. Great work. Thanks, Tim
I enjoy the truthfulness of how you work and how you show the honesty of your day as you work......ps I see the "safety pup" came to ensure you put the tank in
Another great video. Your GW is coming along. I’m always looking forward to seeing more restoration on it. Keep up the great work. Love your time lapse and great camera angles.
You should get ya a quick hitch for your tractor so you don't have to mess with the 3 point and then make up a trailer hitch to fit your quick hitch to move trailers around your property with. Very very handy.
Anything in my shop is on casters. For your shelves a piece of 1 1/8" plywood (real) sub floor under the bottom gives a good stiffener and mounting surface for the casters. You can use six (four inch wheels?) for better support and heavy loads. Good to see a boat video again.
from a proud NJ boy; come back with the boat and take the Patriot crew for a fishing trip! You've done a lot since you picked it up, nice to see it in there!
Been following this project since the first day you posted a video about it. Congrats on getting to this point and glad all the fiberglass is finally done.
I commented in one of your very early videos when you were first starting to work on the Grady White that I'm looking forward to the day that you catch your first fish - and I watch every episode waiting for that day. So much time and effort that has gone into the rebuild so far, simply amazing. Great work as always and thank you for making my week, every week.
Hey Stranger, I remember that… yeah it’s been a journey for sure! Never thought it would take this long! Of course spending a year building the building really slowed me down but like I always say “we’ll figure it out”, we always do, one way or the other!
It sure has been a long road to get to here. Work has been beautiful and now that the tank is in it feels like MAJOR progress was made. Of course major progress had already happened but seemed like it wasn't until the tank was set. Just me and my opinion lol I look forward to the next segment of this boat's journey back to life.
Great progress! Watching you hookup your trailer was the way I did before I installed a cheap wireless backup camera on the license plate. Makes hooking up my trailers to my older truck one shot vs the backup, get out check, make adjustments, get out check, etc. Keep these awesome videos coming and congrats again on fitting the tank!
Yeah, sooo I usually pull it with my newer Dodge, so it’s set for that and the dump truck both of which have cameras… I just got lazy and used the old truck but it actually took more work, 😂 funny how that works, but your absolutely right cameras are life savers!
I knew if you could do the egg with the excavator, you could put in the tank Great job! Moving everything out you got to clean the floor Ha Ha As always good job See you next week brother
Hey brother, yeah it needed it, running the excavator in and out really brings in the dirt, seems one can never get the tracks clean no matter how hard you try! Have a great week!
Congrats on getting the tank in. That's really a big accomplishment and milestone! Fits great and shows how good Patriot Marine Fabricating is. Also, you need a bigger garage! Haha. Have a great week!
Congrats on finishing up everything in "the hole" and getting the tank in! HUGE milestones and now the end is in sight! Quick question - the rubber strips under the gas tank - were they adhered to the plywood in any way? Thanks!
Hey Jim, no, the originals were just placed in there the tank smashes them down and they don’t move… it is a special kind of material though.. made for this. I’d refer you to Patriot Marine Fabrication for details.
Woo hoo You just might make it on the water..this year. Nah. Those motors need going over including water pumps and tune ups.. Should send them out now, so as they will be done.. The water pump impellers, got to be shot and dry rotted.
Thought I spent alot of time fixing my boat. Everytime my neighbor sees me working on it he always yell am spending more time fixing it than I do enjoying it on the water. Then I thought to myself the 3 years I've been working on it & grief I went thru trying to get my johnson running rite I've could of easily work overtime & bought a mint grady white.
Yep you could have done what your neighbor is trying to give you grief about…Instead he may be wishing he had enough patience, courage, and diligence to accomplish what he thinks he couldn’t do. The world is full of wannabes that are afraid of challenging thermselves with something new. Look at Chief Shots. He’s doing stuff he hasn’t done before, in full view of the RUclips viewers. Is he doing pretty well? Absolutely. Tell your neighbor to grow a pair and challenge himself. He may discover that reward is far better than mindless criticism…
Yeah, I’m a loner! 😂 just do what I can my self, all my buddies are out there working hard all day, hate to call them.. but your right would have been easier!
Also, I would like to hire you for a charter, I’ll be generous and pay you the original cost of the boat, that way you can start things off in the green… yes I’m joking.
What great accomplishment the tank looks great, now the fun begins with anchoring the in and fill hoses and the wiring for the sending unit. Great work.
Thanks,
Tim
Yes Sir, it will be a nice change I think!
Phewww! I got tired just watching you move all that stuff! 😂 clean install! 🍻
Lol, yeah it was a chore.. glad to have the tank in though!!
I enjoy the truthfulness of how you work and how you show the honesty of your day as you work......ps I see the "safety pup" came to ensure you put the tank in
Hey thanks Bigfoot!
Step by step its getting closer to a splash. Awesome work Shot!!!
Thanks buddy!
The new tank looks awesome my freind. Dont forget all the repairs and preperation work you did to this rebuild also. You are my insperation.
Thanks buddy
Now that is a gas tank. When ever I stumble on your videos I get hooked but my wife keeps yelling , “ get off that computer” .. lol
Hahahahaha, yeah my wife does the same!
Good job. Can’t beat those great wives that can help in a pinch. I have one too. They are appreciated.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
They are appreciated for sure, just don’t have enough hands to do it alone sometimes.
You know it’s important, when the General comes out to assist!Looking great
Hahahaha! No kidding!!
Love watching you tiny side kick get in on the project 😉
Hahahaha, yeah she such a nice dog, lol! Thanks for watching…surprised!
Another great video. Your GW is coming along. I’m always looking forward to seeing more restoration on it. Keep up the great work. Love your time lapse and great camera angles.
Thanks John!
A long time coming. I remember the day you pick it up from the field!!
Seems like years ago! 😆
I have to say, I love your garage... I think it is bigger than my entire house and garage.
Thanks brother! I love it as well, so much nicer than working in the rain!
You should get ya a quick hitch for your tractor so you don't have to mess with the 3 point and then make up a trailer hitch to fit your quick hitch to move trailers around your property with. Very very handy.
Yes sir, I have a hitch for my tractor, just didn’t take the blade off to use it, but your right would have been easier!
Tank looks great. Fits like a glove. Like you said, moving everything was the hardest part. We can now get those engines fired up.
Lol, won’t be long!!
Anything in my shop is on casters. For your shelves a piece of 1 1/8" plywood (real) sub floor under the bottom gives a good stiffener and mounting surface for the casters. You can use six (four inch wheels?) for better support and heavy loads. Good to see a boat video again.
Smart stuff!
A big day in the $10 boat build Chief. All downhill😁 from here
Thanks Jeff!
from a proud NJ boy; come back with the boat and take the Patriot crew for a fishing trip! You've done a lot since you picked it up, nice to see it in there!
Lol, not a bad idea!! And Thank you for the great work!!
I love that little dog..
Lol, thanks!
I see that management was all up in your lap during installation... now you know what I do 🤣
Lol, yeah she was directing traffic! Lol, crazy little dog…
Been following this project since the first day you posted a video about it. Congrats on getting to this point and glad all the fiberglass is finally done.
Thanks Bob, yeah me too! The change will be nice, working on something different for a change!
How is it that you seem to always work out some of the more difficult problems so brilliantly with the $10 to $10k boat?! Awesome job!
Thanks Brother, appreciate the kind words.
Chief, you did a Fantastic job on the Gas tank, glad to see your Wife helping you cause I know she doesn't like to be on camera.
Lol, she only helps when I really need it… your right she assume stay off the camera!

YEAH! Congrats on the fuel tank getting in....PROGRESS is showing up!
Thanks Brother!
Your right, something about the tank in there makes it feel like a major chapter has closed to me as well!
Congrats Kevin!!! Glad to see this major accomplishment achieved!
Thanks Mark!
Congratulations on a big milestone in the rebuild!
Thanks brother!
The tank is in!!! Huge milestone, congratulations!!!
Thanks Kim!

Thanks James!
Big Day! Looking great!
Thanks Brother!
I knew if you could do the egg with the excavator, you could put in the tank Great job!

Very nice tank and great fit!
Thanks William!
Great job at the inter channel cross topic collateralization.
Lol, thanks
Happy to see the tank being put in...maybe a water test this summer??
We shall see, if I get warmer weather earlier maybe… but it’s 27 this morning and my retired but only works in high 50s and up! 😂
Has the weather been nicer there, looks sunny and warm.
It’s on and off, freezing this week… but 60s last week, it’s crazy!
great job looking great 👏👏👏👍👍
Thanks Richard!
...A HUNDRED PLUS DOLLARS TO FILL A TANK ON A TEN DOLLAR BOAT
..LOL...GOOD JOB, HAVE A GREAT WEEK AMIGO
Oh yeah for sure! Thanks Bob!
Congrats on getting the tank in. That's really a big accomplishment and milestone! Fits great and shows how good Patriot Marine Fabricating is. Also, you need a bigger garage! Haha. Have a great week!
Patriot Marine Fab did a great job, yes I do, never big enough!
Major progress!
Thanks brother!
Man that tank looks good in there awesome job but I’m really surprised you don’t have a metal carport outside for that smaller boat
Lol, not allowed in my neighborhood.
Congrats on finishing up everything in "the hole" and getting the tank in! HUGE milestones and now the end is in sight! Quick question - the rubber strips under the gas tank - were they adhered to the plywood in any way? Thanks!

Tank setting in the boat ! Check ! Hook up hoses and sending unit ! Are you going 2 foam around the tank in the hold ?
So I have been thinking a lot about that, I’m thinking that’s the way to go…
Well done sir!
Thanks AB!
Woo hoo
You just might make it on the water..this year.
Nah. Those motors need going over including water pumps and tune ups..
Should send them out now, so as they will be done..
The water pump impellers, got to be shot and dry rotted.
Yeah, plan to do it all myself, we shall see!
Thats great. I have been waiting for this. What is next?
Get it all hooked up, then get the floor back down
Thought I spent alot of time fixing my boat. Everytime my neighbor sees me working on it he always yell am spending more time fixing it than I do enjoying it on the water. Then I thought to myself the 3 years I've been working on it & grief I went thru trying to get my johnson running rite I've could of easily work overtime & bought a mint grady white.
Hahahaha, yeah I have spent a lot of time on it for sure! But hey we both have nice boats in the end!
Yep you could have done what your neighbor is trying to give you grief about…Instead he may be wishing he had enough patience, courage, and diligence to accomplish what he thinks he couldn’t do. Bet those carbs are all gummed up to..
Probably so
Would have been easier to phone a few friends up for help
Yeah, I’m a loner! 😂 just do what I can my self, all my buddies are out there working hard all day, hate to call them.. but your right would have been easier!
If you see us down there, ask me for help!
😂 thanks brother!
Yeah it took you half a day to move your stuff around....ssshhhhhuuuutttttttt Up it takes me half a day to find my 10 Mil socket.
$ 10 plus plus plus and still not done.....more $$$$ to go.
That’s a fact!
Also, I would like to hire you for a charter, I’ll be generous and pay you the original cost of the boat, that way you can start things off in the green… yes I’m joking.
Lol! My chartering skills might not be worth $10! 😂
You need a bigger garage
Lol, yeah, limited in size by the HOA… grrrrrr
dude more edits. Content good but, long film of you moving parts not good.
Acronym G.O.A.L. (get out and look) one of the most important things you can do when working with any kind of equipment . Koodos. Job Well Done!!!!!!
Lol, yeah it took me a while, I think in the summer it won’t be as bad, because I’ll leave things outside more often which will make more space.
Why not park the Mustang on the trailer??? Would free up alot of space.....
Yes Sir but I use the trailer all the time.. helping people move or moving the tractor to and from the farm etc..
@@shotslife Gotcha...makes perfect sense.....just saw you move all of the parts off of it and it was sitting there all cleared up.
Why did you not put a poly tank in?????
I like the aluminum one.
