With the high boat prices now and a booming used market, the lifespan of older boats has increased. Nice to see shops like Patriot Marine busy with work.
Amen, brother! Your closing comments are spot on! From one veteran (Army, 1st BN, 10th SFG) to another, thank you for your service! God bless you & your family, and God bless the USA!
Chief, I've been working with small to mid size businesses for 40 years helping them grow and a few things stand out: 1) they get into business because they know and are good at something. 2) most but not all train their emplyees to the level of quality and detail they want themselves (that also says some don't!) and 3) the good ones not only care about their business and their customers, but also care about their employees. The good ones usually get rewarded for that. Thanks for telling their story and inviting us along on this trip with your Dad. I grew up in Philly and we spent a lot of time on Long Beach Island. Seeing work there is not in the context of those good fun memories with my Mom and Dad.
That looked like a fun trip and I'm sure it was awesome going with your dad. The guys at Patriot Marine Fabricating seem awesome and their work is fantastic. It was awesome to see the teaching happening welding. If I'm in need of a tank for my boat, I'm contacting them. Thanks, Shot! See you next week.
I love to see some good ol fashioned hard work being done with ones hands. Those welds are impressive and the team there seems to really enjoy what they are doing. Fantastic video!
Great video. I've never served in the armed forces so please forgive the ignorance but does that impressive display on the wall mean you rose to chief master sergeant? Pretty awesome. Nice work.
Thank you that was great to see how they manufacture tanks , and such a great team of workers . Nice to see a young man interested in a great trade not like a lot of others. Cheers mate from Rick in Australia
This video made me tear up a bit as your Dad reminds me of my Dad who passed 3 years ago. I miss him terribly so please spend as much time as possible with him while you can. That Cincy press brake is a beast! I'd love to be able to use that monster, what a great piece of old school equipment. "murica!! Those guys at Patriot seem cool as hell, I hope they get lots of tank orders from your videos. I'm restoring a 24' cuddy cabin that's very similar to yours and understand how much work and money it takes, I was extremely happy for you when you announced that you had a sponsor for the fuel tank, it appears to be an awesome tank and should serve you well. Are you going to coat it or leave it raw? I've heard the arguments for both ways and was just curious how you'll handle it. Anyway, great video/s and best of luck with the boat!
Those welds were beautiful! I just watched the tank corps in Africa yesterday, when the Americans got their ass handed to them by Rommel, damn, the British were so good, anyway, Patton finally took over and the rest is, as they say, history! Thanks so much for the wonderful episode!
Chief, another great video, especially that monologue at the end. Yes, your vids are a great break from the busy week! I always look forward to them regardless of subject matter. Nice marina at the end!
That looks like an awesome facility and a unforgettable trip that you took with your Father. I've never watched You tube to hear about world events of someone's political opinion. It's an escape for me and I enjoy your channel.
You drove right through my old neck of the woods! I was raised in Wetzel County, WV, saw some familiar sights on your drive! @17:35, much cheaper than today! I paid $5.15 a gallon last night, 36 gallon tank, ouch! Anyway, I am just here to see how many comments you got about riding around with the invisible trailer! Why don't Dodge guys flip the back down when unhooked??? After seeing this video, I will be calling Patriot Marine for my tanks when I have to replace them. Hoping I am a few years out, just inspected them yesterday...
Lol, I love WV, my cousin lived there for years, beautiful place. Yeah gas was cheap then compared to now!!!! Let me tell you Patriot Marine fabricating does it right for sure, great people too!
Nice to see NJ in your video! I live up north in the NYC suburbs. Looking forward to next week! NJ is home my whole life and I love it here. LBI is a great place, been there a few times, but shore trips take us to the northern barrier island. Thank you for your videos, life is pretty complicated right now and you really do help me forget about for a little while.
Wow great video buddy. So much going on. Love the shirt. Definitely want one when you make them available. You and your dad should have taken that vette out for a test drive lol. Have a good weekend. Stay safe my friend.
Very interesting video of the trip and fabricating shop, in my old NJ stomping grounds, before we moved to Fl.. Good job. they really have to be top notch welders to do fuel tanks.
Fun video! I will definately check out Patriot if my tanks go bad! One thing that would be really cool is to see how you put these videos together. What is that software you are using? I haven't found any video's yet that can show how to make them like you are doing!
@@shotslife Equilivent diesel price in Newcastle Australia currently $1.41p/l $5.076p/us gallon. Vehicles similar to yours are available in Australia but not super common. Loving the channel. Cheers from Aus.
@@shotslife That is just the way it is up here. We have paid much higher than that. It goes up and down depending on what imaginary crisis there is somewhere in the world.
Hi just a small question when you stopped for gas ⛽ the price was $3.42 is that a litre or gallon as in new Zealand we are paying $2.34 per litre before discount
In the UK we do litres but roughly speaking at those West Virginia prices the UK price per Gallon would be around $8.45 in US dollars....$10.53 in NZ dollars per gallon...so per litre in Us dollars that will be $0.73 is 52p sterling or $1.05 NZD per litre....man he doesn't know how lucky he is. It just cost me ££170.00 in diesel to do a 640 mile round trip to Cornwall 🤔🇬🇧
@@fastasfox I forgot to say that was 91 octane our diesel is $1.74 in some areas he is lucky we import all our fuel an the government just keeps putting tax on everything
In the USA it would be a US gallon. About 3.84 litres. They have it pretty good, but it’s really a matter of what you know and are used to. I had heard fuel was expensive in your part of the world. It really is!!. Here in Canada it’s a little over $1.20 Canadian per litre. We are spoiled to a degree as well here.

@@shotslife I also watch Sampson Boat on youtube. I couldn’t believe it when he said he got his fuel tanks from Patriot in Forked River. That guy is building an amazing boat somewhere in Washington state. To come all the way to NJ for his tank, you know they do great work.
Great job, great scenery, great country. I hope that one day I can travel those roads with my motorcycle and my wife.
Thanks, that sounds like a lot of fun!
