I like the idea of both cardigans, but I think I'm leaning slightly towards the Athens!

Like the Athens cardigan better but both are gorgeous! The 2 sweaters have very different gauges, being knit in seed stitch or in pattern even though they use similar yarn weights. Suggest you knit a swatch for the pattern you love most and if it doesn’t work out try swatching for the other pattern. I usually swatch before I buy a pattern as I’ve had too many issues getting gauge even when I use the yarn the pattern specifies. I often knit a different size to compensate for not getting gauge and get the fit I want. Enjoyed watching - first time seeing your podcast!

Hi Karen! Thank you for this wonderful advice, I am absolutely going to be swatching before I buy patterns moving forward now! Thank you, and welcome 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed!!

Love the patterns! You are making me want to knit for myself 😂. I’m in the midst of knitting for grandkids:). But I have Brooklyn tweed shelter and a petite knits vest waiting for me ❤

I love Brooklyn Tweed Shelter!! You’re making a vest? I’ve wanted to buy some more recently but haven’t know what to make with it. Maybe a vest now that you mention it lol.

If you want to have an alternative to Sweater No 8 and try out a new designer, I would recommend Gregoria Fibers she has a similar design but then you could try a new designer if you havent already knit something by her :)

I’ve been hearing of this designer lately! I think it’s time I check her out. Thank you for the recommendation:)

Loved all your pattern picks. I have added several, if not all of them , to my favorites, along with stash yarn suggestions.

I think I have the same Jensen yarn in stash and I keep wondering what to make out of it! I'm currently wondering between Esther Sweater by petitknit or Judy Sweater by Gregoria Fibers :)
