Your fall knitting plans are very exciting Whitney. I absolutely love that Handmaiden red yarn..... it's so gorgeously rich! I'm looking forward to seeing you cast on some of these garments and see how they knit up. ❤
I think a lento in the hand maiden yarn will be stunning! Such a beautiful colour, I'm looking forward to seeing project updates. Also, I always love to hear about new (to me) Canadian yarn dyers.
congrats on the partnership with Handmaiden! You're peak NS knitting celebrity now! That Lento is going to be amazing. I've been catching up with your videos and missing the Roving Knitters a little today
So many amazing projects lined up can’t wait to see them once they’re started 😍 and congrats on becoming an knit-fluencer!! Omgoodness that colour yarn is going to be gorgeous on you!
SOOO excited for the starfall dress! Whenever it happens its going to be so beautiful. Also that crimson red lento sweater will be an absolute STUNNER.
Hi Whitney!! As usual your videos put a smile on my face, and this was no exception!😍 I'm excited for your fall plans, especially I can't wait to see your Starfall dress, it's gonna be glorious! Me too, I'd love to test the Tipsier Tee for Chelsea because this style of t-shirts is one of my favourite, if not my n°1 favourite, and I'm already starting to think about yarn options from my stash, that'd be so so fun if we could testknit together🥳 If it's not gonna be possibile though, I'm also thinking to partecipate in Laura's MAL, the concept's too lovely to let it pass by and we could all use a bit more self love isn't it? Have a lovely week and happy knitting!❤❤
I love the lento. Iv made 1 and I'm working on 2 more. So girl, u do u, but there is a pattern coming out by knit California called the California sweater. It's a drop shoulder, in the same ish gauge as the lento. Maybe check it out, I think it would be ah mazing in that color u have picked.
Yes! I've seen Leslie's pattern and I know she was inspired to design it because she knew there was a gap in the market for a dropped shoulder design with similar gauge to the Lento! I definitely have it in my radar, but for this project I really want to do something I've done before that I know really well so I can have a really relaxed experience. Otherwise, yes, her pattern would be a great choice! 😊
Congrats on your partnership with Handmaiden, I love their yarn! Also, I knit up my souffle tee in the Sugarbush Drizzle (in a delightful royal blue colour), and it's fantastic for keeping the structure of the souffle. While I don't find it itchy most of the time, I do notice it gets super itchy around my neck and upper arms if I get the teensiest bit too warm while wearing it. Hopefully that won't happy for you if you're combining it with the tencel (which I think would be more cooling). Happy fall knitting!
I had the same issue with my TTSWL sweater. Gorgeous, gorgeous color but bleeds like you absolutely wouldn't believe. If after multiple mid project blocks, tons of rinsing and 3+ color catchers in the bath with it each time. Luckily my CC was the light color, so I just intentionally made sure to let it soak after finishing so that it could evenly stain the pale gray. But obviously that wouldn't work for having the main color be the light color. I agree about washing with color catchers and vinegar, with cold water. But you might want to make a couple swatches after washing the yarn, do a quick block with one and do only a steam block with the other, just to see how the color bleed is after washing. If the blue is anything like TTSWL, it might never stop bleeding, blocking might never be an option. Excited to hear your thoughts on Antigone! I've had my eye on it for a while. And I'm intrigued by the idea of holding tencel and mohair double. Tencel is another fiber I've wanted to try for a while as well.
I'm hopeful that even if there is colour bleeding, it will be limited to the band of colourwork across the center of the sweater 🤞🏼 I'm SO curious to hold the mohair and tencel together to see how they work for the pattern 💕 and linen isn't the most fun to work with, but it's a dream in the finished garment 😍
I just found your channel! Watched your very first episode and then this one. So interesting that you had a bf and now you have a husband. I'll have to catch up on your life and see how that progressed! I can't wait to see your Lento. That one has always been on my list! Love your energy.
Thank you so much! Yes! It's so amazing how much my life changed since I started my podcast ❤️ I looooooooove the Lento so much and have a video all about making my first version -- it's bright purple 💜
Just over here grinning the biggest grin while watching your fall plans 🤩🥰💞😍. You're motivating me to get my ass moving for the Tipsier Tee 😉 (also, I'd be SO happy to have you test girl! Consider yourself in 😘) and I'm so freaking excited for your Star Fall dress for the Magickal MAL!!!! ✨✨🎉💞🙏🏻🔥🔥. I loooove all your colour choices, especially that raspberry colour omg! 😍 I'm also obsessed with the dress (?) you're wearing, it looks soooo good! Where is it from? 👀
Thank you! I bought it from Ecclestone The Label, a clothing brand started by Katie Parrot (an Australian plus size fashion blogger). Her shop is currently closed because she had a baby recently, but you can follow the account on Instagram to find out when the shop will reopen: instagram.com/ecclestone.thelabel?igsh=ZG1jMmNhOGIwOG04

That raspberry cordial looks absolutely STUNNING on you, I cannot wait to see that finished garment 😍
I don’t know if Reddit or a different you tube channel recommended your channel but I really am enjoying your channel. Thanks.

They've been one of my favourites for almost as long as I've been a knitter... and I started knitting ten years ago 😆

Oh that sounds lovely! I love royal blue 💙 I'm usually not very sensitive to mohair on my neck so hopefully it will be fine for me 😊

@@knittedbywhitney thank you so much! I'll give her a follow :)
Hi first time here! Love the energy! Congrats on being a knitfluencer. Can I ask where you got the dress you’re wearing?
Thanks so much! Welcome! I answered this in another comment 😊
Don’t you become an influencer when people start buying a product based on your use of the product? If you don’t like the product, or the way it works up-are you still intending to influence people to buy it?
Considering the product is yarn from one of my favourite local yarn companies, I'm pretty confident that I like it 😉
