I have a 40 year old poinsettia, a beautiful 5 meter tall bush of green and red. It is photographed non-stop by passer-bys throughout the months of December and January.

Your videos are really getting me in the festive spirit. I really want to knit my own “ugly” Christmas sweater for next Christmas, and I’ve been re-watching your Christmas pattern round ups for inspiration. I think Christmas sweaters would be a fun KAL. Maybe a Christmas in July theme, so us plus size knitters have enough time to finish all that colourwork by Christmas.

Love your stash tour! About the Maja cardigan: I knit the cardigan myself last year and succesfully mixed a bottom-up and top-down approach. I casted on the number of stitches for the yoke provisionally and knit the colourwork bottom-up, then undid my provisional cast-on and worked the body and sleeves top-down as I'm quite petite, but busty and wanted some additional shaping. However, I did a two-colour version of the cardigan and kept the body below the yoke plain. Maybe this might work for you anyway? Looking forward to seeing your progress on all the beautiful plans you make here! Truly inspiring!

The Seaglass Cardigan is not steeked, actually. I made one & believe me, as a crocheter who knits, I am still terrified of cutting my work! It's worked in what is called 1x1 colorwork so you switch colors every stitch and you only work on the RS.

For Jojo, it's a size inclusive modern update of a vintage pattern. So if anyone can't get their hands on the book, and they're up for some light modding and knitting math, they can turn the vintage Rainbow Jumper pattern into in the round and in their size, like Jojo. I am making the vintage seamed version with my 2023 EKF solstice countdown tonals and it's so cute to far!

Love the pattern round-ups - definitely a lot that turned my head! The Sea Glass Cardigan especially . . . I'm just always a bit bummed when size-inclusive doesn't include larger than my size. I have a friend who needs to knit to a 70" bust and really struggles with not being included in size-inclusive. So I'm glad to see at least one pattern on your list that they can make this season!

I must have an updated version of the sea glass sweater then. But I'm not sure 'cause it's still missing to teach me how I should do short rows without messing up the pattern. Thats the only reason I bought the pattern in the first place 😬 ah well. By the way, what you see on the cardigan; those end are weaved together like you could do with long hair, using 3 strands. Easypeasy. 😊 Edith: braid is the word I think, couldn"t think of it earlier
