    Oh my gosh! I lived in Halifax 10 years ago for grad school and picked up an absolutely beautiful skein of rustic green wool that still had lots of lanolin in it at the weekend market. Long story short, I didn’t get much time to knit that year and gifted the hat I made to a dear friend but have since often wished I’d bought more of that yarn or at least taken some details down. I’m now pretty sure it was Lismore Farm yarn! The mother and daughter manning the market stall were absolutely lovely and so welcoming when I admitted it was only my second day in the province. Thank you so much for this lovely video! You brought that memory back to me in full texture and I am off to browse their online shop 🧶

      Awwww what a lovely story, thank you so much for sharing ❤️ It probably was Lismore because they still sell at the Halifax market and their yarn is pretty sheepy, in a good way 🐑😉

    Such a small world! I just moved from just north of Sarasota, FL. I used to go to the store in south Sarasota where you got that beautiful teal mohair!

    I loved seeing all your local to you yarns and the projects you have planned for them ! My 2 favorites were the first turquoise one and then the yarn from taproot! Can't wait to see these in progress

    Ok I just fell in love with your skeins of ‘Standing Out in a Crowd’ and I thought that it would be perfect for the pattern i had just bought which also is a yoke pattern! I look forward to seeing your finished piece! Looks like a very pretty pattern.

      @@knittedbywhitney how "rustic" feeling is it?

    • @knittedbywhitney
      @knittedbywhitney  2 месяца назад

      @@annastephenson351 it's not as bad as Lettlopi, but it's a little scratchy. If you add some hair conditioner to the bath when you block it, that helps soften it up. I wouldn't wear it on sensitive areas like your neck, but otherwise it's fine for next to skin.
