I chuckled when you were talking about your mother and your yarn stash. I used to run a fiber animal rescue and yarn shop. Suffice it to say that even 8 years after I closed the doors. I still have enough fiber and yarn for my lifetime and then some.
Hahaha! In my opinion, buying yarn and using yarn are two completely different hobbies 😂 Honestly, I love my stash, and after reading the book A Stash of One's Own by Clara Parkes, I came to appreciate the different roles yarns in my stash play 😊
Aww, Whitney! I was just casually watching your video and totally forgot about the wandering flock yarn! It was so cool to see you with it and see your excitement over it 🥹 Now I’m crying, too. Sooo epic that it’s your favorite and that you still love it so much! Trust me, it brought me just as much joy to send that package out to you 🥰💗🙌
Your enthusiasm for yarn is just leaping out of the screen! These two videos have been so fun to watch, and I'm looking forward to the next ones! That self-dyed orange was beautiful 🧡
Yay! I'm so glad you're enjoying them! ☺️ The orange yarn was such a fun happenstance -- I love it even more than I would've if the colours didn't blend 🧡
I love your joy in the yarn, and wow: that was a beautiful gift from your friend Cassandra. I think the Scranton dyer yarns were my favorites, but all of them were lovely. I hope you have a lot of fun knitting up all those cardigans!
I feel like my taste in yarn colours and my taste in clothing colours are entirely different. I just love looking at pastel yarn, the wandering flock is my absolute favourite yarn dyers to admire from afar (and buy one sweater quantity because it’s just that good), but then the clothes I wear are all muddy greens, warm browns, the occasional blue, black or white, very grandpa. This is why I love seeing other people’s stashes, I swear I get almost as much joy seeing other people’s yarn as I do admiring my own haha. By the way, I hope in the last video you’ll maybe show how you store your yarn? I love seeing how people choose to display their yarn (or hide it in shame lol)
I feel the same way about seeing other people make things out of neutral or muted colours -- I love the look so much, but I don't buy them or knit with them as often as I would like to. I store my yarn in a dresser and in a couple under bed storage containers -- not that exciting.
So excited for the moody section of the tour! Brights and neons are pretty but not my go to usually. But the Dreams mohair and tonal together are gorgeous and I can't wait to see them worked up one day. I also love the beyond the trench set and full skein you showed, but of course I do because those minis are such beautiful moody jewel tones!
I'm currently editing the moody section right now 😄 I love that mini set and it was tricky to decide where to put it, but decided to keep it with my other yarn from the same dyer
Whitney hi!! Finally I was able to sit down and watch your video and omg what a treat!! So many wonderful bright colorways, and we can really tell how much all these yarns are cherished by you, either they have a project planned for or not🥰 I wanted to suggest you a couple things to check out too! First, Rachel from Rachel is knitting recently made an Iza cardigan in a very similar lilac color as the one you plan to use. She also has a video talking all about her process making it (she calls them FO diaries and they're so fun to watch, and I think so helpful if you plan to make the same garment), so I encourage you to take a look. The second thing I wanted to suggest is another sweater option for the 2skeins of fingering-2 skeins of mohair combination, that's the newly released California sweater by Knit California. I know you already had quite a lot of options but this is a drop shoulder sweater so it's something different you might not know about since it was just released last month. I'm currently working on mine and loving the process and the fabric the yarns are making😍😍
Thank you so much! Yes, I have the California Sweater in my favourites and will probably make it at some point because I love the loose gauge and low yardage. I've seen Rachel's Iza Cardigan and thought great minds think alike 🙃
I am loving seeing your stash, I think that my favorite was Moonrise! It just looks so cozy! But I totally get what you mean about the killer duty when ordering yarns from the US to Canada. I also often have a problem of them taking a million years to arrive as well!
I honestly love the colors for Battle of Hogwarts and Hyacinth is absolutely lovely. Im definitely curious to see what it looks like paired with the Bob’s burger colorway.
Hey Whitney! You can catch Geraldine (Wandering Flock) at Knit City. I follow her and she always vends there. I don’t know how close it is to where you live but at least you wouldn’t have to pay duty on it.

I hoard infrared sky ❤️❤️❤️
Just your approach to this amazing stash tour is indicative of how much you deserve every last subscriber and many many more!
Awwww, thank you so much! 🥰
Thank you for sharing and such a quick response!!!😊
I made a cozy classic raglan with groovy kind of love 🤩 truly a bewitching and glowing color!
It's so magical! 🔮💜
So many beautiful colors!!
Thank you! They look so good all together 🌈

Thank you so much! It was SUCH a generous gift 🥹 Katie Sue's yarns are sooooooo pretty! 💕

Moonrise is so pretty and SO special to me 💜

I know! I think it will look SO pretty, but it might also hide Hyacinth House. Such a great combo though 💜

Thanks for the tip! I haven't been to Knit City, so far it's always been too far from me, but I'll keep that in mind 😊
Whitney, I love your enthusiasm for your yarn. Please tell me the name of the bag pattern. Thank you!
Whoops! Sorry, I forgot to link it in the the description box. It's there now! It's the Lined Drawstring Bag.
I still love JK and respect her opinions. She didn’t actually say anything offensive.
Agree. Why can’t we stand anymore if people have different opinions than us? Yeeeez
