    Thank you, projecting 10% of the total value of the project helps me.
    I’ve been wanting to figure out what would be minimum project size to go after as a division 5 and 9 material supplier. In the past, I didn’t know what the total project size was so I did not have enough data to calculate a good average.

      So the best thing for you to do is figure out what the average construction cost per square foot in your area is and then you can take your 10% off of that. The rule of thumb is if you’re doing multiple trades it’s probably around 8-10% per trade.
      If you are using a lead platform like Dodge, or Construction connect, they typically have an estimated valuation for each project.

    How do you pick which lead platform to use?

      Actually we launched our own lead service almost a year ago. We actually reach out to your potential clients on your behalf. The lead platforms only give you the information and you have to do everything else yourself.

    Love your channel and thank you for sharing, but I do have a question. What if you are contractor just starting off and you don’t have the finances to do some of these lead platforms myself I am an air-conditioning contractor. I did follow up with what you were saying by contacting lead platforms.. for the pricing that they’re asking for every month is outrageous, what do you suggest build up capital and then deal with the platforms

      Actually, there is a new strategy. I’m using now with my clients that actually doesn’t need the lead platforms.
      The only challenge you’re going to have is you can do our new outreach method but once you land jobs, you need to finance them. So you’ll need to get a line of credit and supplier terms.

      Then you should start with small/medium jobs to get your feet wet, and the upgrade. Your goal could be to do larger jobs eventually.
