Would love an update on how these turned out! Also- what part of these philodendrons would you recommend using for TC? These look like they are plantlets - would you recommend doing a node if sterilizing and trying this from scratch?
What kind of philodendrons are you going to try the rare one Pink Princess Philodendron? White wizard? arent all the plants species the same since they are in the same family or does the sub species actually make a difference?
Different species of plants are needed to be considered while working with the plants in tissue culture. So, it's highly recommended to tweak bit your media recipe whenever you are working with the new plant.
So the galangal, is it simply powder food grade from plant like you would use in thai soup? Or is it special filtered for plant tissue culture only? thx
You can also use 1N NaOH. DMSO can cause a toxic effect on plant tissues. You can read the reviews of other researchers about the same here: www.researchgate.net/post/How_can_I_dissolve_thidiazuron#:~:text=I%20have%20used%201%20N,of%2010%20mg%20%2F100ml%20stock.&text=Yes%2C%20you%20can%20use%201N%20NaOH.
@@PlantCellTechnology thanks so much for helping me to avoid that. You just add it before autoclave? I’ve read that there’s some controversy about whether it loses its effects?
@@makerspersona5456 Yes, ideally PGRs should be added after autoclaving the media, through filter sterilization because autoclave heat can damage them. However, for the TDZ case, different scientists have been trying different ways, either before or after autoclaving. Often, the damage to hormones is made up of the media nutrients. But, again it's on you, considering the damage, how precise do you want to be with the hormone concentration.
I was enticed by the various videos published by you and decided to make purchases of your product end Aug 2022. However, your company made a terrible mistake by failing to declare the shipping cost. As a result, a higher goods and service tax was imposed on me by the authorities. I have since written two emails to your company and no one is responding. I have to fork out this additional tax to get the products delivered. To my surprise, your company sent me an NAA expiring this month (Sept 2022) and MS media (50L) expiring Oct 2022. Is this how your company conduct your business?

What PCT sells is tissue-culture grade gellan gum.
Isn’t TDZ dissolved in DMSO normally?

Has there been any update on progress of this experiment?
Not until now. But, Francisco might give the update soon!
I hope so!!
It's been over 10 months and still no update?
Isnt 6BA normally dissolved in 1M hydrochloric acid? What’s the advantage of using sodium hydroxide?
You can either use 0.1 M HCL or 1N NaOH to dissolve 6BA.
@@PlantCellTechnology Do you think KOH will work too?
@@makerspersona5456 Yes, KOH will also work.
95% ethanol minute amount can dissolve BA or IBA too.
@@merlinaroyeras4581 Yes you can use it as well to dissolve these hormones.
And update?
Check out our latest video on the best media for philodendrons!
