Like the way they resurrect the oldies, and dust em off, give em a new polish... and add their bit of magic... well done guys..

There isn't a single person in this group that is not a musical heavyweight. Every Fossil and Fox just continuously amazes me every time. For a rendering of a composition to continuously amaze it has to suprise the listener nearly every time. But F&F videos surprise the listener EVERY - EVERY - EVERY time for their speed, dilligence, harmony, stage presence, obvious respect for eachother and for the original composers / performers. The guitarists are awesome. Johhny Pike DOES channel Hal Blaine (RIP) and then some. Maggie is a marketing and communications genius and all three gals OWN any song they solo in. And when singing together they are like SIX powerful female voices not three. Their artfullness actually re-envigorates old and venerable compositions which we had forgotten about (I grew up in the sixties/seventies). Any now retired artist ought to be extremely proud to have F&F cover their greatest hits because it only makes us want to go back and remember an original and be thankful for the music we were given.
Hundred percent agree with everything you've said here. Would like to add, as a struggling RUclips Creator I would like to compliment the camera work and the skilled editing work to put these videos together. I really don't think people who are just watching RUclips videos actually have a clue what it takes behind the scenes with the camera and the skill it requires with a good video editor to get this to come off like it does.
@@SoybeanFarmer3300 Yes. I totally agree. Even the very old outdoor F&F vids and the Mustang vids have pretty good sound quality. But the camera work on the studio recordings they have done are excellent. And then of course there is the historic Suite Judy Blue Eyes rendering which is just... well... words fail me every time on that vid.

The harmonizing between these 3 ladies is amazing.
I started to write a long comment about perfect vocals, driving drums, melodic bass, dueling guitars, stellar keys and arrangement. But, forget all of that, and let’s just say it was awesome!

I love every one in the Foxes and Fossils group. I view them as family, and I have heard back from many of them, so they view me as family too. With that, I always give them an Atta boy, or Atta Girl when they have again tickled my heart! So.. Let's all give them Atta Boys and Atta Girls like we are all one big family.

@@josephbryan9393Chase joined in 2015 after Maggie couldn't continue, They stopped all together in 2017.And after a 5 year absence Maggie had the initial idea to get them back recording again in Sept 2019. Maggie gets things done. She oversees the Patreon and social media for the group.

Awesome! Loved it. I recommended Scarborough Fair a few months ago (I was advised F&F did America early on) because I thought the harmonies would be perfect for the Foxes. Well, A Hazy Shade of Winter harmonies turned out to be perfect as well! Great performance as always!
F&F's performed America at Bella's Pizzeria in 2010, unfortunately Tim only uploaded 12 of the 20 songs from that evening's performance and America wasn't one of them. I think the plan is to upload the remaining songs. Boondocks was recently uploaded and it was the second to the last song sung that evening.

This is a very difficult song to sing and play at that fast a tempo. Yet everyone nails it. And the foxes' vocals are absolutely spot on perfect - totally together. This harmonic trio is killer.

We never see all three Foxes in shot together, so assuming their vocal parts were recorded separately the synchronicity of the lyrics is phenomenal. Kudos too to the Fossils on the rousing instrumentals...
I think I heard the band members live in 5 different States, they don't get together to record. I could be wrong but it seems I read or heard this on another video

Love this band. Sammie, Chase and Maggie have my heart. We need young singers to sing the great songs of the past with a solid band that lived during those times as Tim and others have done....and me, too! I'm a 66 yr. old musician.
amazing voices and group
A song choice which disturbs my teenage sense of the 1966 original, but then I never paid attention to the lyrics. There's a dissonance between the melancholy imagery and the driving beat, a sense of a life being passed by but a strong inner urge to do something about it. This has made me reimagine the song, and that's what a good cover should do.
Please tell the ladies thank you for covering "fossil music." Their harmonies on this song are impeccable. Fabulous work, all of you.

riding the no. 4 train from the Bronx where I work and where I grew up to the heart of the Big Apple in the still semi- masked up ,semi- locked down Flatiron neighborhood in NYC, where I live. But thank God things keep getting closer and closer to normal every day. Fyi y'all great music has kept me sane during the 53 weeks of the pandemic. Thank you and God bless everyone in F & F and all of my brother and sister fellow fans.

Lol…I NEVER would have thought of them doing a Simon and Garfunkel song, but why not? Harmony was Simon and Garfunkel‘s thing, and it’s certainly the thing of the Foxes. This harmony is just unbelievable…especially Sammie with the high part. The harmony is so great you can hear overtones! 😂😏

A couple of the songs they've done recently, she gives a spoken introduction. "Early Morning Rain", "Angel From Montgomery", the latter of which she sings lead on.
Everything they sing is better than the original version, they always do a great job. Very easy listening, love them.
