Fingers crossed for LSE and UCL. Would love to see you in London in September!! What have you done on your Gap Year so far? It is so hard with Covid. My brother has had a gap year but it has been mainly work with no opportunities to travel or do the sport he excels in.
Thank you Imogen!! Hopefully will see you in London in September!🤞🏻 It is really hard with covid, but it’s also given me a lot of time to reflect and re-evaluate things which is great, and I’m really grateful to have been able to spend so much time with my family when I wouldn’t normally have been able to. I have been doing a few online courses here and there, and also trying to learn a couple languages! I also signed up for the NHS volunteer scheme, obviously started YT as well haha and I’m a massive bookworm so I’ve been loving having a lot more time to read!!😂But completely feel for your brother as well as it is really hard to find things under lockdown! I’m hoping in the summer months I’ll be able to go on a few work experience placements and restrictions dependent, maybe finally a bit of travel🤞🏻😬but I really hope your brother will be able to get back into his sport soon! xx
Don’t know how I stumbled across this but if you take UCL Maths w/Econ your only econ module will be Economics 1 (combined). This is 30 credits, ie 1/4 of the year. It’s a decent module (I’ve taken it) but there isn’t a lot if application to the real world - in my opinion. The first term is micro and the second term covers macro. Nonetheless it’s still an enjoyable course and not too much of a struggle
Hi, thanks so much for your input! This is partly why I was not as keen on the UCL course as I wanted a more 50/50 balance and just didn't really feel the course was as much what I personally wanted compared to some of my other uni choices, but it's really interesting to hear the perspective of someone who has taken this module, and I'm sure I would have enjoyed it if I'd gone to UCL!
I've got an offer for LSE Maths+Econ and UCL Econ. The LSE one is seriously an amazing course, I'm rejecting it for Cambridge but I'm sure you'd love it. Have u heard from UCL/LSE yet?
I like how you mentioned clear reasons why you applied for each uni.
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed the video :)
