Always look forward to watching your new videos! I’m hopefully going to Warwick this September to do PAIS (just waiting for my a level results) and this was really informative :)
I had 21 contact hours per week studying Cyber Security but uni really is what you make of it cus I managed to get super involved with sports and societies (maybe by sacrificing some lectures etc) but it's been all worth it :))
thanks for your question! definitely bring flip flops or rubber slippers that you can wear in your room, in the kitchen, to the bathroom. if you don't want to keep your toiletries in the bathroom, keep them in a shower caddy/basket in your room and bring it to the shower and back after your done. get a cloth/sponge and cleaning spray (super important to wipe after yourself in the kitchen! my rootes kitchen got cleaned twice a week but it got quite dirty in between so it's rly helpful to others and to yourself if you do your part). eat in the kitchen and don't just stay in your room generally! you will have a higher chance of bumping into your flatmates, striking up conversations and making friends better that way :) if nobody else initiates, initiate a hangout in the kitchen with all your flatmates, every evening there's no shame in that!! they may be tired or busy, but they'll still appreciate the thought! that's pretty much all i have, lmk if you had any specific questions :))
@@marguerite_hua tysm for your reply!! i’ll try my best to be chatty w my flatmates haha - i hope theyre nice bc i feel like i can live with the shared bathroom and messy kitchen as long as im doing it with friends lol. love ur vids btw ive been binging them to get myself hyped up for uni - can’t believe its so soon!
@@chuu136 oh my goshhh that makes me so happy!! yes as you should beee so excited for uni!! yeah dw you're bound to get along with at least a couple of them coz there's so many of you haha!! i do understand your worries though, i was soo nervous and excited for rootes and move-in weekend was nerve-wracking for me but my flatmates were all so lovely so i ended up having an amazing time! do let me know how it goes i would love to see how rootes is for you ☺
@@marguerite_hua hahaha you’re right 16 people is bigger than most my a level classes and i managed to find atleast a couple friends in all of those lol. i’ll lyk how i find it - can’t believe it’s only a week away now!
Hi! I am going to Warwick this year and am a bit worried I will be underpacked for the accomodation. Do you have any advise for Jack Martin halls? Like how much storage space there is, are there table lamps in every room, is there a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries etc.
hi! i understand your concern! there should be table lamps in every room and there should be a place you can put your toiletries in the bathroom. i can't speak for certain for this last one, or for storage space because i wasn't in JM but i imagine it should have these necessities!! you definitely have free rein to buy more things when you move in, there's nothing wrong w that! sometimes it's even better because you can see what you actually need :)) best of luck with everything and am super excited for you!
Hey! I got accepted to Warwick but my parents are a bit concerned about Coventry not being safe and the apparent harassment cases at Warwick etc. Do u mind sharing your opinion on this?
hi! these are super valid concerns that I, and many warwick students, had before they went to wwk! i've never feared for my life when in cov, yes there r the occasional odd ppl walking around but that's the case in all cities! plus in your first year honestly you'll be spending most of your time on campus (not in cov city centre) so you'll be v safe! as for the harassment, i rmb i was super worried abt that too. but now, i don't think that's specific only to warwick. it happens everywhere and at all universities but it happened to be Exposed at warwick. i would definitely not let that get in the way of your attending!! just remain cautious and stay alert at all times, use your common sense etc etc. let me know how it goes!! :)
@@marguerite_huahii i just wanted to ask, im an incoming freshman going to warwick next month and was wondering whether it’d be better for me to stay in coventry or near campus?
@@catherinewidjaja4470 hiya! i would definitely recommend living on campus if you can, near is fine too if you're in cannon park! it will be much easier to get your bearings as a fresher. you can live in coventry in your 2nd/3rd years when you're more used to the general environment and surroundings :)
