Tai Chi 'Core Form' - Taiji Ch'uan - Moving Meditation in the sand - Beautiful Beach!

In this video Skee demonstrates a slightly modified version of the Core Form, from the Core System. Originally created by Sifu Carl Totton, The Taoist Institute of Los Angeles (link to his website below), this is a beautiful, short and powerful form. It allows students to learn many of the most foundational postures of Taiji Chuan but is short enough so that beginners can learn it fairly rapidly thus gaining confidence and skill. For more skilled practitioners its pithy length is extremely helpful when folding in the multitude of advanced layers.

Hello and thank you for watching this form. I was so blessed to be able to perform it on the beautiful sands of Paradise Island in the Bahamas. I had a number of students ask me to slow down the Core Form and really emphasize the movements. Hopefully this video will 'fill the gaps' for those that may be missing things when I'm performing at the regular speed and extension.
** The form is mirrored so that you can face me and practice without needing to figure out what I'm trying to do with the other hand! :) Hope this is helpful **
