It's very nice of you to keep in touch with Master Gu after all this time!
It reminded me of your early documentary videos, they were really insightful, full of wisdom, and a novel experience for me (who never really had a chance to travel abroad).
Thankyou as always for your inspiring videos.

I like your explanation very much. I especially liked your comment of how people, "who think the meditator is sitting there doing nothing."
To think that is so mistaken, because as meditators know you're very busy doing concentration.
But non meditators mainly notice the stillness of the outward body, which leads someone to conclude that you're totally at peace and zoned out, as I mistakenly thought before I started to practice meditation. Keep up your good work.😁🖤❤💛💚😄

Another gem. Too many people focus on qigong and taijiquan and forget about meditation.

My own meditation is cooldown control. Meditation has many different ways whether cultural and non-cultural. I created my own meditation without cultural poses. Meditation can restrain or release the connections of each body.

"Meditation is the most extraordinary thing if you know how to do it, and you cannot possibly learn from anybody; and that's the beauty of it. It isn't something you learn, a technique, and therefore there is no authority. Therefore if you will learn about yourself, watch yourself, watch the way you walk, the way you talk, how you eat, what you say, the gossip, the hate, the jealousy. If you are aware of it without any choice, all that is part of meditation, and as you go, as you journey, as that movement goes, all that movement is meditation. Then that movement is endless, timeless." - J Krishnamurti.

We live in a peaceful universe and Earth is friendly to life.
My understanding after watching the video: meditation is to put oneself in a relax peaceful state. Be like the universe.
One can meditate by sitting still (letting the mind and body rest) or by doing pure physical activities or by listening to sounds, etc.
The method to put ourselves into this state varies from person to person but most of us recognise it.
It is that easy peaceful calm alert feeling. Time disappear and things just flow.
When we are in this state by sitting still, our body would have a chance to heal itself and to absorb a small amount of cosmic life energy (Chi) that we normally don't get.
If we get into this state by doing pure physical activities without thinking, the mind would have a chance to heal itself.

Somehow interesting.. while is true, you give advices, but they are only words.. are you doing something? Just speaking, which will result in something ... still doing nothing.. but then, if you don't interact with the student to give him/her clues to continue learning, then you cannot teach.
