I love all these famous chefs doing videos about how "Cheap" oxtail is. Last time I was at the supermarket, oxtail was $7.99 a lb... Sirloin steaks were the same price.
Try cantonese area, this is a cantonese dish! Gordon’s version is pretty close to the original recipe, it just missed out the oyster sauce or Hou Chu paste(pending on your preference), cinnamon stick, bay leaves and mandarin skin (optional for citric taste).

I tried this recipe and it was delicious! Nice and spicy, sumptuous and cheap to make. I added just over a teaspoon of sesame oil to the vegetables after deglazing the pan which made it more rich then was necessary, but I think it turned out quite nicely. Your slow roasted pork belly with fennel and star anise is one of my favorite dishes along with this corker. Cheers!
Considering how old Gordon Ramsay is, his mom looks quite good for whatever age she might be. I lost my mom a few years ago but we loved to cook together. So this video was heartwarming and insightful. :)
