ABOUT ME

I am seriously impressed. I’m a hairdresser in Canada. I would never attempt a balayage and colour in between on my own hair. 😅 this is my favourite colour on you, it’s so flattering!!
It’s funny because that’s exactly what I want to do to my hair! Thanks for teaching us
You’re honestly a bad ass hairdresser!!!!! Seriously!!! Plus I love your personality. You’re the best!!!!!❤
Sam your hair turned out so good! I’m a hairstylist in Texas and I learn so much from you. You are really talented and appreciate all the hard work you put in your videos. I’m a visual learner and your way of explaining things just makes sense. Thank you - color / highlights / style 10/10
Good to be back I know the feeling. The blonde highlights suit you especially for summer
I’m literally watching all of your videos, even though I would never die my own hair 😭
Same lol 😂
This color looks much better than the copper and nice for summer. Good detailed tutorial.
You did an amazing job!!!! Looks so good
Yaaaaasssss! I wanted to do this on myself for spring time. I will definitely be following this when I’m ready to change my hair. Thank you!! 🎉❤
Love it Sam! Looks amazing. It brightens your face too. ❤
It looks absolutely stunning and compliments your complexion so well! 🤩
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 beautiful color, you did a great job, love it
This looks SOOOO good
Sam🎉 your just amazing at doing hair ! end of discussion Lol I have trouble just braiding my hair … forget about coloring it 😂
I know right girl it's a love different doing your own hair. I do dye my own hair. Obviously if it gets to complicated I will go to the hair salon but it is expensive so I totally understand why a lot of people just want to take that risk and learn to do their own hair😊
Such a great video! Thanks for sharing… look forward to trying this myself! ❤
It came out superb!!!! ❤ it!
Your hair always looks beautiful when you do it yourself IMHO
That color looks so good on you.
You are great I might even try doing my own I like your personality great teacher
Luv ur new color!!! Gorgeous🤩
Ooooooh thank you Sam I really need this ❤
I am excited for this video as I am attempting to go ash brown and blend my grey with baby lights. This phase is so hard.
You are very talented !
This looks sooooo good I love it 😍😍by the way I just did balayage on my hair and I used a small board it’s so much easier for saturation especially those back pieces 🤪
You are very skilled and the result you achieved is simply stunning as it suits your face so well! Thank you for this useful and fun video! Greetings :)
Amazing!! Thank you so much for showing us the ENTIRE process! I wish you had not even sped it up and just let us watch you all the way at real spead!!
Can you tell us if you used a developper for the tonner at the end?
Sam, I did hair years ago but I found a 3 way mirror on Amazon that makes doing the back of you head so much easier.
Ahh - obsessed with this colour on you 😍
Your color is so beautiful I’d love if my hair was this color
❤ so talented love it’s cute
Gorgeous! It looks so beautiful with your glowy tan! ♥ Jenny
I love it ❤
Love it, omg 😍
Beautiful 🤩
Amaze as usual
Love it 😍🔥
I love it°°°°°°♡♡♡♡That was like magic ☆
Sam you share the brand that is comparable for the highlight dye but not which colors. Could you some what tell us which one you would use to do the same job.
I love that lightener! I don’t know if you noticed, but it swells less than the Schwarzkopf blonde me. I had to be careful with the Blondeme. I’ll be using Wella Blondor next time I touch up my blonde.
Love the result Sam! I’d love to do this on my hair but I have about 20% grey at the roots 😢 should I use a permanent colour rather than a Demi for my base? I’m also about a level 5 base naturally. X
Yes, you have the right idea, mix a level 5 grey coverage color w 20 vol, and tuly you should pull a level 5 mixed with 10 vol through the mids/ends that have previous color so that make it a bit tougher, if you put the color w 20 vol over already colored hair it is drying it out because of trying to lift and the color could look for dull or dusty on mids n ends
I have a magenta color in my hair( profile pic shows my color now) & i want to go 5nn brown. I did bleach my hair to get this color so i was wondering if i should use a color remover, bleach w/ 20 or 30 developer, or do a bleach bath to remove the magenta enough so i can dye my hair brown.
Do you use developper for the tonner at the end?
Question: can you tone hair with semi or demi permanent hair color? I have box black hair color and I just wanna add a few highlights but wondering what’s best for toning brassy color. I don’t want blonde just dimension. Thanks!!
Choosing the right tone is so difficult! Which ion tone do you think is the most similar to the one you used(highlights)?
How do you wash your hair with the tease ? There are like no videos on that . I feel like with bleach it would make it harder to detangle ..
What developer did you use for the 8P toner at the end?
NICE!
When doing a bleach wash how to know if my hair is light enough. My hair is a level five I want to get to a six so I could tone it. Then I’m going to color a different shade. When toning my hair using a semi permanent how long do I leave the hair color on to tone my hair on ? Your videos on how to tone hair doesn’t really say how long to leave it on for….
Would you ever be a teacher at cosmetology school? You’d be a great instructor!
Can you show us how it looks on ur natural curls now 😍😍
What color doesn’t go with you? I can’t decide which one I love best!! Such a good job!
You need over the door mirror so you can Mirrow two mirrors
this is what I do!
😍😍😍
Oh and another tip don't fold your foils really right it could cause the bleach to spread and cause spotting ... go back in and saturate if needed.
It really depends what lightener and foils you’re using and if you’re going all the way up to the scalp. The lightener I use doesn’t swell, so I like locking the foils nice and tight so they don’t slip.
I just wanna say as a DIY girly that the product we get from Sally Beauty isn't gonna require us to wash it out! My friend did that once & it ruined all her hard work. Sam uses a color line that requires you to wash it out.
Hey, may I ask which product you're referring to that needs to be washed out vs doesnt. I didnt catch that.
@@Giannina-LoveThemAll I believe the redkin shades e q she's using needs to be washed out. If you buy from Sally Beauty chances are you don't need to. I've used wella & ion & never shampoo, just rinse.
@@amelia.kennedy oh ok, thank you
HOW
First ❤😊
Firrrrrst
Oh! You were first! I guess I was 2nd 😂
oh..noooo...this is wrong... first you should have dissolved the artificial pigment with a product that does not contain bleach, ammonia or peroxide - for example "color oops"...
I will absolutely not be using color oops on my hair, but thanks for the tip! I’m also really happy with my results, so I’m satisfied with the method I chose :)
@@styledbysamvay first the artificial pigment is washed out of the dyed hair and only then the hair is dyed or bleached further... you are damaging your hair more than necessary
