- Ohhhh my heavens! what a project this became (LOL)
So I had a wild idea and I thought to myself "what if I try to get someone as light as I can with just using @MalibuCPro products?? I wonder how light I could get them"
SOOO I reached out and asked if they would like to collaborate on this wild project of mine, and here we are!
My guest had 33 YEARS of black dye in her hair.. and actually wanted to go to her natural shade of GREY! SO we did 3 rounds of CPR and Color Disruptor to see how light we could get her and doing is SAFELY!
we first started with using the Un-Doo-Goo and JUST washed her ends, making sure to avoid her scalp since I knew we would be doing this over and over again.
once this was done, I applied the Color Disruptor and let her sit under the heat with a cap on for 20 minutes.
I rinsed, washed again with the Un-Doo-Goo and then applied the CPR treatment and let that process under the heat as well for 45 minutes.
once these two processes were done, I dried her up each time and did a test strand using @KenraProfessional Transparent lightener and ONLY processed for 15 minutes each time. you will be SHOCKED with each result.
Thank you SO much to @MalibuCPro for going along with my goofy idea! I hope you guys got to see how amazing Malibu works and how important it is to take these steps! Doing this will help your color application later on and aid in providing a cleaner end result.
Malibu is a MASSIVE staple in all of my correctives, and I don't do anything without them!

This is not 33 years worth 😅 I’m sure she’s had her hair cut in that time. It’s probably 4-5 years of dye in there MAX.
It sounds dramatic ‘wow 33 years’ 😂 but I’ll say max 3 years of hair dye
Malibu - C both REVERSES and Removes the Color which is why it is brownish pink. When the product Reverses the color process it Removes the Oxygen Bond given by the Developer to break the color molecule back into it’s separate components which are not Black but may be Orange, Yellow or even Clear (Colorless). This breaking up may not be complete or may create other reactions which cause the different color.
