Pause as many times as you feel like it, without fear. I also feel that these movements were strange, I believe it was the technology itself.
I love this song. I really feel like it's battle music too.
I think this song was from the time she was learning to fight with a stick and then learning to use a real scythe. She commented on this when talking about her one year show.
She was experimenting with different melodies. Nowadays she likes and does well to mix more styles.

@@RIANtics Calli likes to maintain her weight and she is the type of person who has a lot of strength. So she probably took the opportunity and went to learn martial arts. And why not learn that? right?

This was the title track from her first full length album. Very shortly after this song and the album dropped Calli announced the signing of her record deal with Universal and pivoted toward releasing songs for and promoting her first major label release, the Shinigami Note, starting with CapSule.
As a result, Unalive was rather underpromoted at the time, basically just getting this one music video (though the album did include previously released songs Q and Graveyard Shift). Eventually, after Shinigami Note released, a second of the new songs, Scuffed Up Age, got an MV, and lately Calli's been hinting at another song from it getting an MV now over two years later.

oh. so that's the reason this song is relatively unknown. somewhat sad but great that the got a deal with universal.

@@RIANtics the song's got a pretty good number of views so I wouldn't say it's that unknown, though it is one that I don't see fans talk about or recommended much, even compared to a lot of later songs that don't have as high a view count.
She just ended up having to move on from the album Unalive almost immediately after this song dropped which was kind of unusual.

@timewizardphil yeah, that was what i meant. I had never someone recommend me, checking out UnAlive. I mean, the numbers of views are all great on her songs :D

@timewizardphil the album definitely is underlooked. Resting Power, Lose Lose Days, and Scuffed Up Age are all fan favorites pre-UMJ tho. But I do see songs like UnAlive, Ouroboros, Q and the rest not get recommended at all. Which is why its cool to see Q get played by other holomems in concerts and UnAlive getting a Eurobeat remix

Calli mentioned at one point that the producer on the track literally just told her "ok, hit the highest note you're able to" and then readjusted the track around that. So yeah, it's her.

There's also a fully Japanese version of this song on the album, so look forward to that. Both versions are decent, but I think she would have been better off combining them into one bilingual song.
