This song is actually over two years old. It was from her first full length album, UnAlive. Almost immediately after said album dropped, Calli announced her signing to Universal and had to pivot to promoting her first major label release, the Shinigami Note EP. As a result not many of the new songs included on UnAlive got to have music videos, just the title track UnAlive which got a video when the album dropped and a song called Scuffed Up Age which she got back to after Shinigami Note and all its MVs released. Until now. Couldn't be happier too as this was always ny favorite song on the album, so I'm glad its no longer stuck as an album track. The other four characters in the video are the vtubers who debuted alongside Mori, Takanashi Kiara (orange), Amelia Watson (yellow), Ninomae Ina'nis (purple) and Gawr Gura (blue). Together they started the Hololive English branch. Their group name is indeed Hololive Myth, due to most of them having mythological themes. The timing of an MV for this song , reflecting on the friendship they shared with Calli, releasing is apt as very recently Amelia made the decision to suspend her streaming activities. If you want to see Myth sing together as a unit, they actually have a decent number of group songs, with my favorite being the song Non-fiction (found on Calli's channel). Their most recent unit song, The Show Goes On (found on the Hololive English channel), is also a lot of fun though
Oh wow, you got to this one quick. This song is from one of her earlier albums, UnAlive, but it just finally got an MV. The general gist is that this is a love letter to her genmates, the other talents that joined Hololive at the same time as her. They were the first group of Hololive's English branch and, as such, were pretty much on their own as the company didn't know how popular they would be or how far they could go. They only had each other and pushed through together. The lyrics have constant references to "sticking around" because they also didn't know how long they would last, some even saying that they were only planning for a year or so. In the end, it all worked out well because they all had each other to rely on and they all built each other up, leading to them revolutionizing the EN Vtubing scene, becoming giants in the industry. In terms of other Calli songs, her most popular right now is "Go-Getters" since it was the ending song to the Suicide Squad Isekai anime, a classic of hers is "End of a Life" that is very personal to her (if you do watch this one, there is a clip out there of her doing a lyric breakdown which I also recommend watching, either with the song or on your own), and since you have also reacted to Suisei, they have two original songs together called "CapSule" and "Wicked" (Wicked is my fav of the two, but only CapSule has an MV). Sorry for the essay, just wanted to add some context to the song. Looking forward to more!
2:56 Yes, the other 4 characters, along with Calli, are the members of the first generation of the English branch of Hololive named "Myth". All of them have at least one original song and a lot of covers.
Takahashi Kiara is the second more musically inclined of the group after Calli. She has a lot of singles and one album out, "Sparks" is my favorite song from her. Ninomae Ina'nis AKA Ina is the artist of the group. She has two original songs "Violet" and "Meconopsis" both are great songs. Also I would recommend her cover of "Nai nai" the ending song of the first season of the anime "Shadows house". Gawr Gura is probably the most popular member of Myth and is the first Vtuber to reach 4 million subscribers on RUclips. She has a few very good solo original songs (Reflect, Tokyo wabisabi lullaby, Give up!...) but my favorite is "Q" with Calli. She and Calli made what's in my opinion one of the best covers of the song "King" Finally Amelia Watson was the most innovative of the group. Sadly she retired last month. Still she left us with one song "Chiku Taku"
One of the things I love the most about vtuber music is that being a vtuber allowed a lot of people to have a chance in the music industry regardless of their irl appearance.
Hololive are spliced into 3 branch: EN, JP, ID Each branch have different generations: EN have 4, JP have 8 (0-7), ID have 3 Each generation have their own group name, the one you reacted to is Holo-Myth, 1st gen of HoloEN
Loved the React and Vid! Enjoyed watching it a ton. End of a Life" from Calli is always a good go too. Amazing Lyricism and message, which then goes into "Left for Dead Lullaby" which is her response so to say for End of a life. But you really can't go wrong. Her newest album has so many banger im sure you will love and be a good react as well. Maybe DONMAI or TIDE. If you want an amazing song thats not Calli but also Hololive, try "HELP!" by Kobo Kaneru, absolutly bop.
*ears perk* Oh you like RWBY? Well then *rubs hands together* Would you be interested in an animated music video named "Time to Feast" by one of the biggest names in VTubing, Ironmouse? The music was done by HalaCG of nerdcore, and shirobeats, and the lead animator/director was DillonGoo, who worked on RWBY and does animated PVs of Genshin Impact.
That does sound incredible :D I've heard a few of HalaCG's songs before and really liked them and with such a stacked crew of talented folks I'm sure I'll love it. Thanks for the suggestion.
